RPG, Movies, Pirates, Singleplayer, TPP.
An action-adventure game with RPG features. It is based on Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl. Except for the title and the presence of some common motives (most of all the Black Pearl ship), the game has little in common with the movie. It was at first developed as sequel to Sea Dogs, another similar game created by studio Akella, but the popularity of the movie caused the change of the title. In the game the player assumes the role of an independent ship captain who is caught in the middle of a conflict between 17th century sea empires: England and France. The protagonist must gather a crew and complete a series of mission for the selected empire. As time passes, the protagonist gathers experience, becomes a better captain and warrior. Sea battles, including artillery combat, boarding, and sword fighting are an important part of the game.

RPG, 2D, Fantasy, Hack'and'slash, Indie Games, Post-apocalypse, Action RPG, Singleplayer, Isometric View.
An action RPG developed by Supergiant Games - a studio established by Amir Rao and Gavin Simon, who both are former employees of Electronic Arts. In the game, the player assumes the role of a hero named Kidd, who one day wakes up in his bed drifting among the remains of the world, in which he used to live before. The young lad embarks on a journey to find other survivors and provide them with shelter. The world of Bastion that is drifting through the void is a very dangerous - it crawls with monsters that our hero has to face using an elaborate arsenal of both melee and ranged weapons. Moreover, since particular locations literally are hanging in mid-air, a moment of distraction might result in Kidd falling off the map. Bastion stands out from similar productions because of its method of delivering the story (the actions of the main protagonist are described in real time by a narrator) and the original visuals featuring colorful, hand painted, and highly interactive backgrounds. Interestingly enough, in spite of the fairytale-like style of the game, Bastion tells a grim story about the apocalypse. The game has been recognized with many prestigious awards.

A refreshed version of the classic platform game developed by Broderbund Software in 1989. The player assumes the role of a prince who must stop the evil vizier Jaffar who intends to take over control of Persia by marrying a kidnapped princess. The protagonist must escape from a prison, save his beloved and defeat the usurper. The problem is, all these actions must be completed in less than an hour – otherwise the game ends in failure. The gameplay mechanics in Prince of Persia Classic are similar as in the cult original. During the game player jumps from platform to platform, avoids various obstacles and traps, and fights against the vizier’s guards. Sometimes the prince will also have to solve a simple puzzle. This version of the game has completely new, more colorful visuals and brand new audio tracks.

Everything indicates that there may actually be something in the prophecy of imminent dooms preached by Pat Shelton on the TV. The duo of the original’s protagonists, Nina Kalenkov and Max Gruber, take on the task to solve the mystery once their paths cross yet again in the face of the incoming danger. Secret Files 2: Puritas Cordis is practically identical to its predecessor in terms of gameplay mechanics and graphics. A tactical RTS set in a fantasy realm, developed by Bungie Software, a seasoned developer present since 1991. The game, loosely inspired by the setting of Glen Cook's The Black Company series, lets us play the part of a commander of the Army of Light, leading our armies to battle the forces of darkness led by powerful sorcerers, the eponymous Fallen Lords. Unlike most typical real time strategy games, Myth: The Fallen Lords ignores the resource gathering aspect, as the gameplay focuses entirely on skirmishes with enemy troops. Moreover, with each successive victory the surviving warriors gain experience, becoming more powerful and allowing us to win the fight even against a seemingly overwhelming enemy force. An undisputed advantage of the production is its fully three dimensional environment and a physics engine, whereby the outcome of clashes is affected by various external factors, and most objects present on the map can be used in battle.
