IronMonkey’s mobile rendition of the 2008’s science-fiction survival horror game, Dead Space. The title is not a simple conversion, though; it tells an entirely new story that takes place 3 years after the events of the original, on the very same space station the action of Dead Space 2 took place. In the game, we assume the role of an engineer nicknamed Vandal who acts on behalf of the dangerous Unitologist sect who believe the appearance of the Necromorph is a part of a divine plan of annihilating the humanity. When the protagonist realizes the danger she has caused, she begins a race against time to prevent the epidemic from spreading throughout the entire base. As far as gameplay and atmosphere are concerned, the mobile version of Dead Space does not deviate significantly from the original, introducing only the crucial changes stemming from the properties of handheld devices.

Yet another joke simulation game, a genre which, contrary to any logical reasoning, keeps gaining crowds of fans. The hero of this game, developed by an independent team at Bossa Studios, is a slice of bread, and the player’s job is to take it all the way to a toaster. Gameplay mechanics in I Am Bread are pretty complex, the biggest difficulty being controlling all four corners of the toast separately. With these mechanics the “hero” can perform simple moves on any flat surface. The game is played in various rooms, and in order to get the toast to its ultimate destination you can make use of various types of house equipment, e.g. a fan, which makes for an excellent catapult. While playing, you must also supervise two essential statistics of the bread: its edibility and deliciousness. Too much dirt can make the toast completely inedible.

Strategy, 4X, Economic, Singleplayer, War Strategy, Turn-based.

A side installment belonging to the legendary series of turn-based strategy games that use the name of Sid Meier as a trademark. While the previous Civilization Revolution was created mainly for the more popular home consoles, Revolution 2 was developed specifically for mobile device and PlayStation Vita owners. Similar to the previous installments, the game casts the player in the role of a leader in control of a civilization of their choice. The player's goal is to achieve global domination. The game begins in ancient times, with the player having little resources and few territories. Over time, the player develops technology, expands towns, recruits armies and obtains new territories - lands conquered have to be governed appropriately as well. Civilization Revolution 2 offers additional units, technologies, buildings, wonders, as well as previously unavailable leaders. What is also new, is the scenario mode, allowing the player to participate in various historical events, such as famous battles. The game offers three-dimensional visuals.

Another installment of the cult Angry Birds series by Rovio, representing a return to the roots of the series after many different spin-offs. In comparison to previous parts of the series, Angry Birds Stella offers quite an expanded storyline. Stella and her friends are on holiday on the Golden Island, which is unexpectedly invaded by the shadow of an evil witch, who leads an army of mindless piglets into battle and, as you can easily guess, the task of our heroes will be to stand up to the wicked.

The second installment in a spin-off subseries belonging to the Total War franchise, designed mainly for mobile devices. Both titles were created by a separate development team working under Creative Assembly. In contrast to the original game, this one focuses entirely on online gameplay and PvP competition. The game takes you back to 10th century. You become a leader of a small country, who has to take care of its development and security. Your goal is to conquer new lands and turn them into bustling, productive terrains. The game offers expanded strategic gameplay, allowing you to not only construct buildings, gather resources, and expand your army, but also use diplomacy, spies, and intrigues against your allies and foes alike. In terms of visuals, unlike the previous edition, this one looks more akin to a full-fledged Total War game.
