A re-imagining of a 2D platform puzzle game for Wii and NDS, which is a remake of a classic hit originally published in 1989 for Famicom (NES). The game tells the story of a boy and his bizarre, jelly-like fella called Blobert. He needs to find a way to save his planet Blobolonia from an evil emperor, who imposes an unusual diet on his people - composed entirely of sweets. The two heroes set out on a dangerous journey with the purpose of finding the objects necessary to defeat the emperor while his minions try to stop them. The key to success in this classic platformer is to use Blobert’s special abilities, which can be developed by feeding him with a variety of colorful jellybeans. Compared to the original version from 1989, the re-imagining features completely new visuals and slightly changed mechanics – the range of moves and abilities of the hero is much bigger.

A new installment in a popular series of turn-based games, created as a joint effort of Byzantine Games and The Lords Games. The game takes us to Europe during the age of pike and shot (1494 – 1698), introducing three separate campaigns encompassing 40 historical battles from the Thirty Years’ War, the English Civil War, and the series of conflicts between Austria and Ottoman Empire, including Siege of Vienna. Additionally, the game introduces a “skirmish” mode which creates a fictional campaign taking place on randomly generated maps. The gameplay in Pike and Shot: Campaigns 1494-1698 does not differ much from its predecessor. Players control a chosen nation, engaging in tactical battles requiring a number of strategic decisions which can influence the course of the whole campaign. Victories, as well as defeats contribute to mental state and battle readiness of our soldiers. Aside from a single player mode, the developers introduced a multiplayer module employing PBEM++ system. The game employs high-quality visuals, inspired by battle scenes from that era.

A simulator game, in which the player assumes the role of an owner of a company that mines gravel and iron. The objective of the game is to transform a small business into a powerful company that generates great profits. Contrary to most other simulators, here the player doesn’t participate directly in the mining process. Instead, they focus entirely on the business layer of the company, deciding about money management, overseeing the production process and participating in marketing/PR activities. All information is presented with advanced tables, reports and statistical data. In general the game focuses on completing various contracts – small ones at first, and after we hit it big, also more serious ones, frequently divided into a few phases.

Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest could not, of course, do without typical elements of a card game. Thus, we collect cards during the game that represent characters, spells, artifacts, etc. Then we use them to build our own deck, which is used during a duel allows us to achieve different effects and employ different combat strategies.

Releasing the finger launches a powerful rocket attack – useful when fighting more powerful opponents – which sadly exposes us to enemy fire, which adds certain tactical depth to this small arcade game. During our run, we encounter various upgrades and items spawning allied wingmen. Shooty Skies is also distinguished by its colorful visuals, build from huge voxels.

A post-apocalyptic MMOFPS with survival game features. It was developed by the independent Russian studio Kefir! At first glance the mechanics of One Life are similar to other games in the genre. The player is taken to a large post-apocalyptic world filled with dangers, where he and other users are trying to survive. The path to victory leads through wise strategy, seeking water and food and through crafting needed items. What makes the title original is a unique system of permanent death. In this game dying doesn’t offer a chance to create a new character and start the game from the beginning. If the player dies, his adventure with the game ends definitely as One Life simply won’t enable him to play itself again. Luckily, it’s not that easy to die in the game.

A multiplayer-oriented first-person shooter created by IllFonic - a developer popular mainly for an acclaimed online game Nexuiz. The game begins fifty years after the outbreak of a zombie epidemic, as a result of which the remainders of humanity had to find shelter in city-states ruled by the military. The tragedy, instead of leading to the unification of the dying human race, led to a war over the remaining resources. The gameplay focuses on dynamic multiplayer competition in six different PvP modes - teams of players fight one another for resources and control over strategic areas. The experience is diversified with a character development system, which is typical for the genre, as well as with zombie groups located on the maps. However, zombies do not simply serve the role of just another threat, because the players can use them against the opposition in a variety of ways. In Moving Hazard, using the dead to one's advantage effectively is crucial for success.

A nostalgic text-based adventure game developed by the independent developer Kyle Seeley. The game calls back to the beginnings of the internet boom and the first instant messengers that made it possible to befriend people online. The objective of the game is to develop an internet friendship with a student named Emily. The gameplay consists of typing commands and selecting dialogue sequences using interface that looks like classic communicators such as AOL Instant Messenger. The story encompasses five years of the virtual characters' lives and is non linear, encouraging the player to complete the game many times and experiment with different dialogue options. Emily is Away also draws from historical software layouts with its modest visual style and the lack of any soundtrack.
