Developed by Wiking Entertainment, an adventure action title prepared for VR googles. The production tells a story about the crew of the spaceship Sentra, which has been sent to the Red Planet with the objective of retrieving the remains of the Phobos, a research probe. Once they got there, they find remnants of an alien civilization that come back to life due to contact with humans. The backbone of Unearthing Mars is exploration, but you will also have to display different skills – during gameplay, you shoot, solve logic puzzles, and control a rover or a lander. Even though the initial moments are realistic, further into the story more fantastic elements emerge, such as war machines constructed by the legendary Martians. The title uses the power of Unreal Engine 4, which makes the game it look amazing.

A side-scrolling horror/adventure game. Detention is a debut project of Taiwanese studio Red Candle Games. The action of the game takes place in Taiwan during the 1960s, in the middle of martial law that lasted 37 years. We are taken to Greenwood, a high-school placed in a mountainous area. The players assume the role of two students who discover that the school became inhabited by wicked monsters known from local legends. Their mission is to survive, as well as to discover the origins of the mysterious evil. Detention is built on exploration, gathering items, and solving riddles, all performed through a classic point-and-click interface. Our protagonists are practically helpless in open combat, so their only way to deal with the danger is to hide and lay traps, and escape if need be. The two-dimensional visuals are quite interesting, as the developers were inspired by the mythology of China and Taiwan, as well as Taoist and Buddhist beliefs.

Developed by Arcen Games, AI War II is a science-fiction RTS game and a fully-fledged continuation of the studio’s 2009 debut project. AI War II picks up the story 355 years after the events from the previous installment. In the game, a player yet again takes command of the human army that during the past centuries has been preparing for war against the Artificial Intelligence faction. An enemy, who is much more powerful than expected, decides first to deal with other factions, which gives human operatives time to look for weaknesses in the AI’s tactics and defenses. In terms of its gameplay, AI War II builds on the foundation provided by the first installment of the series, and at the same time, it introduces a large number of novelties and improvements. Since the enemy forces are nearly inexhaustible, player’s task is not to annihilate the enemy but to systematically advance to consecutive strategic objectives. Unlike its predecessor, AI War II delivers a fully 3D experience and allows the players to lead to battle not only humans but also the powerful Spire faction, as well as the, missing until recently, Zenith civilization.

Note that transformed characters shouldn’t get exposed to direct sunlight, because these can weaken or even kill them. The Sims 4: Vampires also brings along a brand new location (Forgotten Hollow), with such features as a grim graveyard, new interior decorations as well as extra customization options for Sims – some of the things that you can adjust are the length of fangs, skin complexion and eye color.

Occasionally, the player has to face powerful bosses – fighting these foes revolves around weakening their armor and pieces of skeleton. Running with Rifles: Pacific is an expansion pack for a tactical action game released for PC in 2015, entitled Running with Rifles. The add-on takes the player to one of the fronts of the World War II, namely the Pacific War. The game’s developer took care to faithfully recreate both actual armament and gear used in the period as well as uniforms worn by soldiers of the U.S. Army and Japan at that time. Besides, players are thrown into battlefields which are based on islands where actual military operations were taking place in 1940s. Not only their names match, but also do details and the topography of the terrain. Although the original gameplay mechanics did not change – Running with Rifles: Pacific is still a top-down shooter with elements of tactics, such as commanding a squad or taking cover – the new setting provides quite a different experience.

An original RPG with elements of roguelike; it was developed by an independent developer Andrew Morrish. The player is taken to a relatively unusual fantasy world, but what distinguishes Kingsway among other similar games, are the very unusual gameplay mechanics. The game resembles a simplistic operating system and the entire action takes place in several different dialogue boxes (the player can customize them). For instance, traps and enemies are presented in the form of pop-up windows, equipment is managed through placing particular things in separate folders; as for the quests, information concerning them is given to the player via the in-game email box. Nonetheless, the game's procedurally-generated environment is filled with conventional adversaries; the protagonist represents one of several specialties and they gradually acquire more and more powerful weapons. Additionally, the protagonist's personality is shaped by the player's decisions - this is relevant to the fact that death is permanent in this game.

Consecutive plot sequences are revealed after the main protagonist reads texts and site-specific notes, which he finds on his way to discover the secret of mysterious inheritance. In The End is Nigh you play as a strange creature called Ash, one of the last beings that survived the end of the world. Traveling through the ruins of civilization, inhabited by bloodthirsty mutants, Ash gathers body parts of the dead to create a friend for himself. The production is a classic 2D platform game, in which you journey through maps full of enemies, gather items, and avoid various dangers. During exploration, which is made easier by the fact that Ash can climb walls, you collect cartridges, which allow you to access various minigames. The game also features many secrets to discovers, several alternative endings, a high difficulty level, and a large dose of black comedy.

Pokemon Ultra Moon is yet another installment of the popular RPG series developed by Game Freak for Nintendo handheld consoles. It was released along with Pokemon Ultra Sun as the improved versions of the 7th generation handheld consoles launch titles, Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon. Once again, we play as a novice Pokemon trainer who desires to become the very best trainer in the world. The game comes with an alternative version of the story we saw in the series' previous installment, offers new types of Pokemon (some available only in this version), and offers some new and changed locations. Nothing has changed in terms of gameplay. We explore the game’s world, do quests, catch more and more Pokemon, and take part in turn-based duels with other trainers. Pokemon Ultra Moon supports the PokeBank app that allows us to transfer Pokemon caught in other games of the series.

The third installment in a series of paintball games developed by XField Paintball SAS and advertised as the official video game devoted to that popular activity. The game was created in cooperation with professional paintballers and video-gamers themselves. XField Paintball 3 gives us an opportunity to take part in multiplayer competitions based on the official rules of paintball. The game is played from the first-person view and the experience combines elements of tactical shooters and sports games together. Two teams of up to 5 players each participate in a match; the goal is to take control of the entire territory with minimal losses. Developing an adequate strategy and coordinating the team's efforts constitute the key to success here, and the latter of these lies in the captain's hands. The remaining players take the roles of the so-called Rushers, Shooters or Tacticians. XField Paintball 3 comes with relatively average-looking visuals, rather poor in detail.

An economic strategy developed by an in-house team of Deck13 Interactive. The player takes control of a newly established trucking company specializing in road transport of various goods throughout the area of United States, represented by an extensive three-dimensional map. The game itself begins after the choice of a starting location, the first truck and a trailer, and the employment of a skeleton crew. Completing orders increases the reputation of our company, which, as the time goes, reinforces its motor pool (in all, we are offered over a hundred trucks and seven types of trailers), and acquires licenses to transport hazardous or fragile cargo. The world’s economy is dynamic and can surprise the player with recession or see him face one of the AI-controlled opponents. TransRoad: USA offers a range of gameplay modes, including a campaign, single missions, or a sandbox mode with unlimited playtime.

A MMORPG/shooter hybrid developed by the independent studio Cybertime Systems as an attempt to fill in the void left after the famed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. sZone-Online takes us to a post-apocalyptic future, where risky scientific research has caused a worldwide cataclysm. A few generations later, the planet slowly returns to life, with humanity creating special anomaly zones that isolate dangerous mutated beings along with unlucky humans that inhabit the area. The player joins the ranks of so called Stalkers, and depending on his preferences, he can focus on lone treasure hunts, or join the conflict of interest between a few groups that fight for the control over the zone. We can choose from several specializations that determine not only the abilities of our character, but also the play style, and focus on enabling us to complete hundreds of story quests in an open world with an area of over 40 square kilometers. We can choose from numerous weapons, outfits, and special artifacts, along with an extensive crafting module present to fulfill any requests the player may have.

Simulation, Machines and Equipment, Trains, Singleplayer.

The 13th full-fledged installment of a series of popular railway simulators developed by a German studio Trend Verlaag. Eisenbahn.exe Professional 13 allows us to assume the role of a train driver, traveling through various areas using a chosen train. We can choose from over 4500 models – from classic steam-powered engines, up to modern diesel or electric engines, each containing a faithfully-recreated, three-dimensional cockpit. The game is characterized by its realistic approach: we need to watch out for railway signs and the current conditions around the track. The world is alive, with vehicular, air, and marine transport taking place all around the player, while local fauna can be seen near the tracks. We can also experience a dynamic day-and-night cycle, and changing weather conditions. The extensive editor is definitely one of the highlights of the game, allowing us to build our own trains, as well as whole locations and tracks.
