A fantasy MMORPG developed by NetEase. The plot of Revelation Online tells of a typical struggle between good and evil, and the players assume the role of heroes whose task is to defend the world of Nuanor from the forces of darkness. The key gameplay element is exploration of the vast world that is divided into ten provinces and three big cities. We also have to perform story quests and take part in so-called raids, during which we visit dungeons, find treasures, and face powerful enemies. There are several character classes at players’ disposal, each having different abilities that are developed with our progress. The main distinguishing feature of Revelation Online is the fact that our characters can fly (although you have to gain the 29th level first) in addition to walking. Moreover, the developers prepared three different control schemes so every player can pick the one they prefer.

Adventure, 2.5D, Indie Games, Metroidvania, Platformers, Action Adventure, Science Fiction, Singleplayer.
An action adventure game with platformer elements, developed by the independent studio Over the Moon Games. The production is a direct sequel to The Fall which debuted in 2014. After the events of the original, ARID reaches the global network and her primary task is to save herself — the heroine, who is an advanced artificial intelligence, takes over various robots to do so. The gameplay of The Fall Part 2: Unbound is presented from a side view. The fun is focused on exploration of the places we visit and assuming control over various characters that have different abilities and limitations. The key to success is to use their individual capabilities not only while moving through locations but also when solving puzzles or fighting. The production is powered by the Unity technology, which provides decent graphics. Contrary to its predecessor, the title was released on many platforms simultaneously.

Adventure, Indie Games, Science Fiction, Singleplayer, Isometric View, Free-to-play.
A completely free, standalone expansion for Stasis – a dark science-fiction adventure game released in 2015. The plot of Cayne references the base game in a number of ways, but without spoiling it, so players new to the series can also experience the title in full. Story introduces a pregnant woman named Hadle, who wakes up in an obscure medical facility, where unknown men want to take her baby away. As can easily be imagined, the player’s objective is to make sure that this doesn’t happen. The gameplay is exactly the same as in Stasis, so we are looking at a classic adventure game, seen from an isometric view. During the campaign, designed to last for roughly 1.5 hour, we are mainly occupied with exploration of new locations and searching for items, which are necessary to solve the problems turning up along the way. From the audio-visual side, the game relies on the same, albeit beefed up, visuals. Nonetheless, Cayne has a completely new soundtrack, composed by Ivo Sadiski.

A real-team strategy game with RPG and adventure features. The Hive takes place on a planet called New Eden, where refugees from Earth arrived after a global cataclysm destroyed their home. Instead of humans, though, we will be commanding an insectoid race inhabiting the planet, determined to obtain the heritage of other civilizations and become the dominant species on New Eden. The gameplay employs simplified RTS formula, with base building and economy development, as well as tactical battles of small numbers of troops. Units will gain experience through combat and each can be equipped with items which boost their parameters. Even buildings can be upgraded, using DNA fragments. We will also encounter puzzles that must be solved to unlock locations and minibosses to defeat. The Hive is a strictly single-player experience, with a campaign consisting of 10 missions.

A city builder strategy game with shooter elements, developed for Android and iOS devices. It was developed by On5, the creators of, among other titles, RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile, in cooperation with Atari. The mobile Lunar Battle is a modern interpretation of an Atari’s game of the same title that was released for arcade machines in 1982. This time around, it is an interesting combination of a strategy production and a shooter. The player’s task is to build a human colony in space and defend it from alien invaders. To do so, we gather resources, erect new buildings, and satisfy the population’s needs, controlling our budget in the process. A large amount of our funds has to be spent on armaments, including weapons for workers and spaceships. The latter we can control directly. In combat against aliens, the gameplay resembles classical shooters from arcade machines in which we control a ship and shoot incoming enemies. It is also possible to fight PvP battles on special arenas.

The gameplay focuses on exploration, inventory management and avoiding enemies – the teenager sneaks behind their backs, distracts them using various items and takes advantage of numerous available hideouts. The game also includes a Sanity meter – when the meter is full, it may result in protagonist’s demise. Claire includes different difficulty levels and a New Game Plus mode that allows the player to begin a new game without losing the acquired equipment.

A mobile free-to-play economic strategy with comedy elements. Con Man: The Game bases on a license of Con Man, an internet series created by Alan Tudyk. The title makes fun of science-fiction movie genre. We assume the role of a Wray Nerely, a star of a cancelled series, who despite the loyal following from his fans doesn’t receive any new casting proposals. For a change, his friend from the set – Jack Moore makes a great movie career. In Con Man: The Game our task is to organize fan conventions that are frequented by the character from fictional series and movies, among them Wray Nerely and Jack Moore. The game includes a number of other plot threads and characters from Alan Tudyk’s series. The con has to be prepared – by inviting celebrities, setting up thematic stalls, summoning cosplayers, and so on – then making sure that it all runs smoothly. As a reward for our troubles, we gain new fans, and receive money needed to organize even more conventions. The game features a distinct satirical vibe, and fantasy fans will find a lot of tidbits and funny references.

When it comes to mechanics, Ashes of Ariandel doesn’t introduce any major changes to the base game, focusing on complex combat system and clashes in which every encountered enemy can be a major hindrance to our hero. Another paid DLC for Endless Legend, a turn-based strategy 4X game from Amplitude Studios released in September 2014. The main feature of this add-on is a new playable faction in form of Morgawr – an aquatic race specializing in naval battles and animal control. Like previous sides of the conflict, Morgawrs have unique buildings, units, technologies and characters. Most importantly, though, the arrival of this race came along with expansion of the game’s world to include seas and oceans, and naval fights allow for usage of naval or air units, and even sea monsters. There are a few exclusive mechanics for such skirmishes that were not present in base game. All of this with dynamic weather mechanics, as well as presence of unplayable faction of Fomorian, which tries to stop our expansion on seas.

Mechanics-wise, Krai Mira is similar to classic Fallout games. The game utilizes an isometric view, and the feeling of déja vu is only strengthened by the mostly brown color palette. The gameplay focuses on exploring the environment, completing main quests and side quests, as well as fighting enemies in turn-based combat. As the game progresses, the protagonist gains experience points and levels up while gathering better weapons and armor — curiously, you can create a makeshift armor out of an appropriately prepared tire. NVIDIA VR Funhouse supports both fan mods and the Steam Workshop service, thus different mods can be found, including those delivered by the game's creators. The game is played entirely from the first-person view and makes use of dedicated motion-tracking controllers. The player's actions are constantly monitored and a score is assigned to them. A tactical shooter created by the indie developer Downpour Interactive. The game was developed for VR multiplayer matches, where the players use VR goggles and dedicated motion controllers. In Onward, players fight on modern battlefields in different environments, under changing weather conditions, and with the addition of a day-night cycle. Unlike the other first-person shooters on the market, Onward is deprived of many conveniences that are characteristic of the genre: no HUD, no ammo indicator, no crosshair. Additionally, the respawn rate for a single match is strictly limited. Thus, the key to success lies in working out effective tactics, using surroundings to your advantage, and maintaining clear communication between you and your teammates - all of this is a must. Visuals are on a quite satisfying level, and the usage of realistic weapon sound effects is a nice touch.

In the game, we traverse locations in search of new beasts. The fun boils down to catching encountered creatures and training them to make a team that will then be sent to fight other trainers' creatures. In total, there are over 900 monsters to catch, all divided into several categories (fire, water, shadow, etc.). Strengths and weaknesses of every one of them are based on rock, paper, scissors rules — each creature is especially effective against one kind of enemy and weak against another. Therefore, our team has to be composed in a way that makes it ready for all possibilities. Battles are fought agains AI-controlled opponents as well as other players. Graphics-wise, Neo Monsters resembles other Japanese two-dimensional RPGs. The production features manga style visuals, while the story is told with static dialogue scenes. A game created by Dawid Szymanski, an indie developer, in collaboration with New Blood Interactive. The game represents the action genre and was inspired by the classic games that came out in the 90s. The plot in DUSK is only an excuse for flashy and brutal gameplay, and during the game we have to face hordes of enemies with supernatural abilities. The levels are diverse: we can choose from a modern city infrastructure, through churches, to dark undergrounds. We also have access to various weapons such as pistols, machine guns or grenade launchers, but we can also use sickles and crossbows. Besides the campaign, we can also play in a competitive multiplayer and Endless Survival Mode, in which we have to face subsequent hordes of enemies. The graphics aren't that impressive as they clearly refer to the aforementioned classic games.

You control the players running around the field and their task is to put the ball in between the opponent's goalposts. The game, however, is far from being realistic. Apart from goals, there is also e.g. a special point system, which grades accurate shots based on how far are you from your target. Additionally, some shots can be boosted, which slows time and makes targeting easier. The matches take place on round stadiums, and there are many gameplay options to choose from. A dynamic, side-scrolling shooter created by Pyramid studio. Planet Darius has been invaded by Belsers – an alien army that entrenched itself in the oceans and seas of the whole world. To combat the threat, the planet's inhabitants have prepared a new lethal weapon, the so called Burst System. The gameplay of DARIUSBURST Chronicle Saviours focuses on eliminating hordes of enemies – aside from normal cannon fodder, the enemy ranks are sometimes reinforced by tough bosses. Every level contains various power-ups that increase the firepower of one of the nine available fighters, and influence the attained score. Additionally, a number of varied weapons has been left at our disposal, from rocket launchers through laser cannons and up to energy wave generators. Puzzle, Experimental/artistic, Exploration Games, FPP, Indie Games, Singleplayer.
An original puzzle game with exploration elements, created by a small debuting team, William Chyr Studio. Manifold Garden takes the players to an irrational world where laws of physics are constantly being broken. The core of the game lies in exploration of unusual surroundings, unraveling its mysteries and rules but also solving numerous puzzles which requires the players to think unconventionally. The game is presented from a first-person perspective and the environment consists of architectonic creations that defy the laws of physics, e.g. never-ending steps or 3D labyrinths. Gravitation isn't always the same here, which means that we can walk not only on ground but also on walls and ceilings. However, in order to discover new paths that lead to new stages we should demonstrate our ability to think out of the box and go beyond clichés. The graphics, based mostly on contours, feature a cartoonish style.

A sequel to the oldschool RPG developed by Thylacine, the creators of the first installment in the series. Siralim 2 doesn't feature a complex plot; you play as the ruler of the eponymous kingdom, who sets out on a series of journeys, during which he has to recruit monsters and use them to fight his enemies. Interestingly, there is no final battle, and the locations and challenges are generated without end. The game features a bird's eye view, and the gameplay consists of exploring the dungeons, searching for treasure, completing quests, and combat. The battles are turn-based, but the protagonist doesn't fight in person, letting his monsters do it instead. Siralim 2 also features magic and crafting systems, and the money you earn can be spent on upgrading your castle, which means adding new building and rooms, unlocking new equipment, missions, and characters.

Strategy, 2D, Card Games, Roguelike, Singleplayer.
A unique indie game by Nerial and Devolver Digital, and a combination of three genres: strategy, roguelike, and card games. Reigns takes place in an exaggerated medieval setting. You play as a king, and your objective is to manage your kingdom. You have e.g. to pass on judgments, care for the needs of your subjects, manage the economic development and diplomatic relations with your neighbors, and your decisions have various consequences, including your death, which forces you to start anew. The gameplay is quite unusual, as it's based on drawing a random card, each containing a petition regarding one of the kingdom's aspects. By sliding the card to the left or right, you either say yes or no to the petition. The game features simple yet very fitting visuals.
