A continuation of the 2014 tactical strategy game developed by Killhouse Games, which recreates the routines of SWAT anti-terrorist units. The action of Door Kickers 2: Task Force North takes the players to the Middle East, where the player-controlled squad, comprising representatives of many special forces, follows the trace of a dangerous terrorist organization. One observes the action from a top-down perspective and experiences all the events in real time with the option to utilize the active pause system. Like the first installment, the game has been divided into two parts - equally important to carrying out a mission is proper preparation, which includes selecting units with adequate skills and dispatching them properly across the map. The creators introduced many improvements and novelties that make the whole experience even more realistic. Among these, one can find new pieces of gear, the option to operate under the cover of night, jumping through windows, and the new mechanics allowing one to group his units.

A turn-based tactical strategy game with RPG elements and a spin-off installment of the Fallout series. It was developed cooperatively by Micro Forté and 14° East. The action takes place in the post-nuclear universe of the future, in which we become a member of the eponymous group that seeks to rebuild the world destroyed by the nuclear apocalypse. The players’ task is to locate long-forgotten technologies that will enable them to destroy dangerous foes. To do so, we have to complete a series of subsequent missions that will test our tactical abilities. In Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel, we can make use of a large weapon arsenal and numerous armored vehicles, while the party members, in a typical RPG manner, increase their attributes and skills thanks to the experience points gained in combat. The game can be played either solo or in a network multiplayer for up to 18 players.

An extensive turn-based strategy game that came out as the fifth installment in the Civilization series, a popular franchise created by Sid Meier. Sid Meier's Civilization V was developed by Firaxis Games Studios supported by the publishing company Take Two Interactive. In accordance with the tradition of the series, player becomes the leader of a selected nation and leads it throughout a period of several thousand years. Gameplay mechanics underwent no major changes, and the new solutions (such as implementation of neutral city-states, hexagonal map grid, and the limit of one unit per field) are mostly results of evolution of previously employed ideas. Some visible changes were made to the visuals, which are now powered by a brand new graphic engine.

A mobile turn-based strategy game developed by EA Capital Games, the creators of the web-based Heroes of Dragon age, among other titles. Our task in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is to collect famous characters from the Star Wars universe and fight battles with subsequent opponents. In the game, we create teams of heroes of both the light and dark side of the Force with each of them having different unique attacks and abilities. In addition, the game features a character development system that allows us to increase statistics and skills of our subordinates as well as pick their equipment. The game somewhat resembles classical RPGs, although the gameplay is devoid of story and exploration, focusing solely on combat. In Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, lets us compete against the AI in single player missions and against other players in the PvP mode.

A continuation to a bestselling turn-based strategy game created by Jon Van Caneghem and his New World Computing studio. Heroes of Might and Magic II: The Succession Wars is set several years after the events depicted in the original game. When the ruler of Enroth, Lord Morglin Ironfist dies, a conflict over the throne breaks out between his sons. The player is given a choice, whether to fight for Roland's rebellion (he got banished from the kingdom) or stay loyal to Archibald, who considers himself the rightful heir to the throne. The gameplay formula has not changed significantly, but the creators introduced several novelties and improvements. The four hero classes from the original game were supplemented by a necromancer and a wizard, along with castles characteristic for these new classes and new creatures. Also, the second installment expands the list of skills available to heroes and introduces modifications to the system behind the use of spells. Additionally, the player is now capable of upgrading their units.

An independent economic strategy game in which we develop and manage a network of factories on a hazardous planet. The title was created by two Czech programmers who drew inspiration from such classics as SimCity, Civilization and Transport Tycoon. Our responsibilities include taking care of resource supply, vital to erecting more buildings, constant development of our property, and introducing new technologies we invent in special research facilities. We also have to ensure our plants’ security for they are being constantly targeted by the planet’s natives. All of the aforementioned elements are joined together by a quite complex system of dependencies — because factories are more than buildings, they require equipment, armaments and adequate transportation network. The game’s 2D graphics are minimalistic and keep the player occupied with gameplay.

An expansion to XCOM 2 developed by Firaxis Games. Its story focuses on the titular Chosen – a new type of agents working for ADVENT, who try to capture the leader of the XCOM group. To achieve this, those merciless specialists kidnap his followers and torture them to gather valuable information. They are so effective that they can even affect the strategic layer and destroy our global operations. XCOM 2: War of the Chosen introduces three rebel factions (Reapers, Skirmishers, and Templars), with which we must keep good relationships if we hope to gain their assistance. Aliens also received reinforcements, with three more deadly species in their ranks. Additionally, ruins of long gone metropolises are inhabited by the Lost, consisting of mutated humans who hate both us and ADVENT. Thanks to this expansion, the campaign has been expanded with new locations and objectives. There are also additional abilities for the soldier class and a newly introduced SITREP system, which randomizes some parts of missions to bring more variety to the game. The list of novelties is closed with a special challenge mode, in which the players engage in tasks given by creators themselves.

A strategy game with RPG elements, in which you manage a fortress of the eponymous Assassin Brotherhood and lead a self-composed team of assassins. The title was developed by the Canadian team at Behavior Interactive Studio. Assassin’s Creed Rebellion is set in the 15th-century Spain, where you confront the Inquisition. The Brotherhood is made up of over forty characters, featuring both famous characters from the Assassin’s Creed video games and the movie as well as twenty completely new individuals. The fortress under your command is the main base of operations for your men, from which they set out for missions in teams of up to three members. As you accumulate experience and gain higher character levels, you are able to expand the fortress with new rooms and purchase equipment. On the other hand, while performing specific tasks (which require heroes with specific abilities), you gain DNA fragments (unlocking more Assassins), raw materials (for improving existing units), and crafting materials (needed to create better equipment). Against a background of other Assassin's Creed games, Rebellion is distinguished by its graphics design, based on Chibi stylistics.

An original strategy game with RPG elements, taking place in a unique dieselpunk universe of 1920+, created by a Polish concept artist Jakub Rozalski. The game portrays an alternative history of Europe at the turn of the 19th century, in which humanity used their knowledge and means to build powerful walking machines, used not only in battle but also e.g. in agriculture. Thus the gameplay features not only the cavalry, airplanes and prototype tanks, but also rather primitive and awkward mechs, seemingly not of this age. At the same time, the game is firmly grounded in Polish history and references important events such as the Battle of Warsaw.
