The seventh installment in the arcade music game series by SEGA. To play the game you need a good sense of rhythm and quick fingers to push the buttons appearing on screen. As usual, the main characters are the virtual vocalists, Miku Hatsune being the most prominent. Their digital voices are generated by professional music software, which has been used by fans to create thousands of songs from many genres; several dozens of them make an appearance in the game. Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X is the first title in the series featuring a story campaign, in which you help Miku and other characters discover the digital idol world. As the game progresses, you unlock new cutscenes and events, similar to the previous installments. The production features several hundreds of outfits and accessories for the characters, and completing an outfit matching a song gets you a bonus. Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X utilizes the same graphic engine as the other games in the franchise, although its visuals are better.

While fighting, the player can switch between the characters, using their unique abilities for attacking, healing and defense. Between skirmishes, the player develops their characters, recruits new ones and gradually equips them with better weapons and armor. A science-fiction rhythm game developed Mad Fellows. Aaero does not offer an elaborate narrative layer, focusing on allowing the player to control a small ship hovering above ground and fight the enemies that appear on the screen. The ship’s movements can be controlled with the analog sticks. The player is tasked with following the precise track and sticking to a white ribbon, which boosts the score multiplier. Occasionally, the player has to face powerful bosses – fighting these foes revolves around weakening their armor and pieces of skeleton. The key to success lies not only in good reflexes and agility but also good hearing, as the gameplay is accompanied by an audio layer – the more aligned with the rhythm player’s actions are, the higher he scores.

The plot of Runner3 is a continuation of the adventures of CommenderVideo, the hero from the previous games. The gameplay didn't change much when compared to the previous titles but there are a few new features and improvements which are the result of community feedback. During the game, our character runs automatically to the right and our goal is to lead him through dozens of various levels and avoid numerous traps by either jumping over or sliding under them. As usual for this series, all actions are performed accordingly to music's rhythm. Each action creates a sound and the soundtrack's tempo determines how fast our hero runs and the number of hazards that await him.

We play as the titular rapping dog who tries his best to win the heart of his crush, Sunny Funny. PaRappa is aided by his two friends, cat enthusiast Katy Kat and the chubby bear PJ Berri, in his musical stunts. Gameplay did not change at all and remains the same as in the original game: PaRappa has to do many things to impress Sunny Funny. All of that happens to the beat of music and requires the players to have a sense of rhythm and good knowledge of the game's controls. The biggest improvement introduced by the remaster are the game's visuals, which are now in much higher resolution. The game also allows us to use the DualShock 4 controller as a metronome.

A new installment of The Idolmaster – a popular series developed by Bandai Namco. Similarly to the previous installments in the series, the game mixes elements seen in managers, visual novels, and rhythm games. The player assumes the role of a producer, whose mission is to lead the careers of thirteen young idols that were sent to a special training camp. The game begins with the choice of a leader, while gameplay itself was divided into several segments. The girls are sent to lessons and auditions, and can take part in concerts or special events after fulfilling all the prerequisites. Moreover, the story chapters enable us to get to know the girls better, which is especially important, as our relations also affect their achievements. We can improve the girls’ individual abilities by engaging in singing lessons that involve performing songs in a manner similar to what we could encounter in other rhythm games. Concerts take place in the exact same way. Aside from voice, the girls can also equip costumes that increase their abilities and presence of which further translates into a bigger number of fans. The game is characteristic for its high quality visuals, with three-dimensional cel-shaded models and fluent animations, as well as an extended soundtrack consisting of thirty features from the previous installments of the series and a number of brand new music tracks.
