Elden Ring Reaches Nearly One Million Concurrent Players on Steam

Elden Ring has defended its position as the top bestseller on Steam. The game also records increasingly better activity results. The developers of Risk of Rain 2 and Dread Hunger also have reasons to be happy.

Like every Monday a list has been released of the biggest (by revenue) bestsellers of the previous week on Steam. The leader remaines Elden Ring. Various editions of fromSoftware's game took two spots in the top 10, including the first.

Elden Ring continues to dominate on Steam

Elden Ring not only sells superbly, but also achieves impressive activity results. Yesterday a new record was set - at the hottest moment of Sunday the game was played on Steam by 953,426 concurrent users.

Most titles see their best performance on the first weekend after release, so the fact that Elden Ring improved its record on the second Sunday after the debut shows how big a success the newest work of FromSoftware turned out to be.

The reception of Elden Ring on Steam continues to improve

The reception of the game is also improving. It's important, because in this respect the debut of Elden Ring was not very successful. A few hours after the release only 59% of user reviews on Steam were positive, which is categorized as "mixed reception". At the time of writing, the share of positive notes jumped to 84%.

The game's technical condition is improving all the time, which is one of the main reasons for better and better ratings on Steam. The devs have released several updates, and many problems can be fixed on one's own - you can learn the details from our articles:

Excellent debut of Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void

Elden Ring was not the only hit of last week on Steam. The Risk of Rain 2: Survivors of the Void DLC recorded an excellent debut, ranking second. This is all the more impressive as the DLC currently costs less than $10 and the list is compiled by revenue.

The expansion has been received very warmly - on Steam, where 87% of user reviews are positive. The release of the expansion has also increased interest in the basic version. Risk of Rain 2 took the seventh spot on the top 10 bestseller list.

Thanks to Survivors of the Void many fans returned to the game. Risk of Rain 2's activity record on the last Sunday before the release of the DLC was a little over 9,000 players. In contrast, yesterday it was 59,547 concurrent users.

Dread Hunger results keep improving

Also Dread Hunger continues to amaze, as it broke into the top five biggest bestsellers of last week on Steam.

The game was released at the end of January and its debut was not very impressive - on the first Sunday after the release the game's activity record amounted to less than 8 thousand people. Four weeks later it was already 37 thousand, and yesterday, at the hottest moment of the day, 65,657 users played the title on Steam at the same time.
