Saints Row 2022: Fast travel - how to unlock?

On this page of the Saints Row guide, you will learn how fast travel works in the game. You'll find out how to unlock new fast travel points and when you can use said mechanic to teleport to other locations on the world map.

Character hideouts

By default, you can fast travel to Saints' hideouts. The main characters' appartment is the first such hideout, but quite early in the campaign, you will move to an abandoned church, which will become your main base.

Simply highlight the hideout on the world map. You can move to it from anywhere. There's no signposts or other fast travel points that you need to use.

Unlocking fast travel points

You'll have to find all other fast travel points on the map and activate them yourself. As you explore the world map, fast travel location icons may appear. They are called Discoveries and are one of the types of optional activities.

Reaching the location isn't enough, as you also need to take a photo of the object associated with a given fast travel point.

Select your phone, then its camera. Next, locate the object from the thumbnail and position yourself in the right place or zoom in or out until a green border appears (the example in our screenshot pictures a rock formation in the shape of a panther's head). Only then take the picture.

If you have successfully completed the activity, you will receive XP and the given fast travel point will become active, i.e. you will be able to travel to it from anywhere else in the game world.

Temporary fast travel locks

Access to fast travel may be blocked:

1. if you are currently fighting or being chased - you first need to defeat or lose your opponents;
2. if you are currently on a mission - you first need to complete the mission and return to free map exploration mode.
