Saints Row 2022: The Peter Principle - walkthrough

The Peter Principle mission in Saints Row takes place in a museum, where you'll have to take part in some intense battles. Our walkthrough explains how to defeat Los Panteros and the Idols, how to solve the cannon puzzle, where to find the Codex and how to escort it.

Quest rewards

Go to the museum

Start the mission by selecting it from your smartphone. You must head to the museum in Lakeshore North. Use the staff door instead of the main entrance.

You'll end up in the security room, where you must talk to the guard.

Join the gala

Head to the main hall, where the gala's taking place. Talk to Atticus, then grab a drink from the table.

Defeat Los Panteros

You'll be attacked by Los Panteros. Engage them in combat. Don't worry about the civilians, them getting hurt doesn't fail the mission. Use AoE skills if you have any.

Find the Codex

The route you must take to reach the Codex is linear, so there's no way you'll get lost.

You'll encounter more gangsters along the way (use Takedowns if you need some healing).

Defeat the Idols

Eventually you'll reach a larger room, where a group of Idols will appear. You should especially watch out for the bikers. We also recommend you get up to the higher floor quickly to dispatch the enemies attacking you from above.

Find the Codex - continuation

You can now continue your trek through the museum. You'll find some guards along the way, who can serve as potential allies. "Recruit" them by approaching them and interacting with them (Triangle/Y on the controller). Their help should make the enemy encounters easier.

Activate the Codex case

Eventually you'll reach the room with the Codex case. Interact with it. The mission objective will update, tasking you with escorting the case as it moves towards the exit. Kill the encountered enemies as you do so, watch out for these on the upper levels.

The cannon puzzle

After one of the encounters the Codex will move away from you. You must activate a cannon to reach it again.

Examine the locked door and start searching the room. There are a few objects you can examine, but we've pictured the most important one above - a rocket.

Load the cannon with the rocket and activate it. The explosion will unlock a new way forward. Go through the hole.

Return to the Codex

You'll have to get through some intense encounters on your way to the Codex, as elite enemies with armor bars start appearing here.

Watch out for the foes wielding heavy weapons (example pictured above) - use your heaviest weaponry and other offensive techniques. Remember to dodge whenever you can and stay mobile. You can also wait the enemies out until their weapons overheat, leaving them helpless for a short time.

Pick up the minigun

After the battle you can pick up a unique weapon - the minigun. Use it to shred the nearby door.

Kill Los Panteros, talk to Myra and face the remaining enemies. The minigun lets you fire in long bursts. You don't need to stay in the room where Myra is. Instead, you can back off to the previous room and wait for the enemies to come to you. Winning this battle triggers a cutscene and ends the mission.
