Saints Row 2022: Take Me to Church - walkthrough

This page of our Saints Row guide features a walkthrough of the Take Me to Church main mission. Our walkthrough explains how to demolish the construction side, how to drift, jump and drive in the wrong lane to get documents from Blande, how to access the church and unlock a new hideout.

Quest rewards

1. XP and cash;
2. unlocking a new Saints HQ: the Church - from now on it will serve as your hideout, replacing the apartment, holding an armory, a garage and a bed to sleep in.

Take your friends to see the church

Select the mission from your smartphone, then head to your apartment and watch a cutscene.

After leaving the building, head to the abandoned church in Old Town Shoreline.

Get in the front loader

Enter the vehicle parked in front of the church - you must use it to destroy the construction site. Your targets are the makeshift buildings and supplies around the church. You can raise and lower the bucket with the L1/LB button while demolishing the area. Destroy everything in your sight until you fill the demolition bar.

Defeat Marshall security

You can keep using the front loader during this encounter to run over enemies and destroy their cars, though you can also fight them on foot. After the battle talk to your allies by the church and listen to the plan.

Find Blande

Head to the place where the official you're looking for is. Enter his car to kidnap him.

Scare Blande - drifting, driving in the wrong lane, jumping

You must scare Blande into handing over the church's deed. This is a three-part process.

Start off by drifting (hold X/A on the controller). We recommend doing so on long and wide stretches of road. Don't stop anywhere for too long, otherwise Blande will escape the car and you'll fail the mission.

The second part can be easily completed on the highway. You must drive on the wrong lane while avoiding other vehicles. We recommend driving in the middle, slightly tilting the steering wheel to avoid head-on collisions.

Your final objective is to take a long jump. Drive to the cemetery the game marked for you. Drive over large ramps. You'll need to jump a few times to fully fill the bar

The plan will work - Blande will hand over the documents.

Find a way into the church

Return to the church with the papers and talk to your allies. You must get into the locked building. Climb onto the lower roof and run over it. You must reach the pictured hole in the wall and go through it.

Carefully go downstairs and open the church's main door from the inside.

Kill the Idols

A large group of Idols will spawn nearby, forcing you to fight them. Keep reaching the areas filled with red dots, which represent your enemies. Use your heaviest weapons and most powerful skills to eliminate the elite, armored enemies. Remember to heal with Takedowns and revive your fallen allies.

Winning this encounter rewards you with the church as your new hideout.
