Assassins Creed Shadows: How to change the time of day?

The last few installments of the Assassin's Creed series allowed players to speed up time and switch between different times of the day. Did a similar mechanic also appear in the installment set in feudal Japan? On this page of the guide, we will answer this question for you.

Can you change the time of day in AC Shadows?

Unfortunately, Assassin's Creed Shadows has no option to change the time of day, nor to instantly speed up time. The daily cycle in the game lasts about 48 minutes, divided into:

1. 24 minutes of day;
2. 24 minutes of night.

Proper planning of the day has its advantages. It's easier to sneak around enemies when it is dark. We therefore recommend that you use the night for raids on enemy territories, and the day for performing side tasks or other activities such as expanding your hideout.
