AC Shadows: How to gain knowledge points?
Knowledge points are used to unlock more and better abilities for Naoe and Yasuke. If you're wondering how to get them, read our guide page for Assasins Creed Shadows.
Last update:
Each skill tree starts with the most basic abilities. However, over time, you will unlock new passive bonuses and active skills, expanding your build. This requires Knowledge Points. If you don't know how to acquire them, you will learn this in our Assassin's Creed Shadows guide.
Temple
Many places with the temples symbol offer a task that involves collecting all the lost pages in the area. When you collect them all, you will receive a knowledge point. Use eagle vision to easily locate them - they can appear both in buildings and on roofs, near stones or other objects.
Kuji-Kiri
These are meditation spots that Naoe can interact with. Then you have to complete a mini-game, which involves pressing the appropriate keys. Usually, before gaining a knowledge point, you will have to complete a short mission, which looks like Naoe's memory. Only after its completion, interact again with Kuji-Kiri and complete the mini-game to receive a knowledge point. On a separate page of the guide, you will find all the meditation spots in Japan.
Shrines
These are places where you can pray, usually there are several in a given area. If you interact with all of them, you will receive a knowledge point.
Kofun
These places resemble tombs or caves, in which a treasure is hidden. Usually, you will have to go from point A to point B to find the reward and receive knowledge points. You can find a list of all Kofuns on the page All kofuns, tombs.
Hidden Trails
This is a special activity that involves moving from one point to another, often involving climbing. They usually have different names, like for example, the Path of Valor. Follow the yellow paint marked on the rocks, bridges, and other objects to reach the chest, which will reward you with items and a knowledge point. You can find the list of all Trails on the page All paths, hidden trails.
Kata
This is a unique side activity exclusive to Yasuke. It involves pressing the buttons appearing on the screen in the correct order. This is a very similar task to Kuji-Kiri, where as Naoe you also have to press the displayed keys at the right moment. For completing this mini-game, you will receive a knowledge point. You can find the list of all Kata on the All Kata page.
Horseback Archery
This is the second side activity designed exclusively for Yasuke. These are horseback archery challenges. As the name suggests, you will have to shoot targets (usually ceramic vases with painted circles) from a horse. When you shoot down all of them, you will receive a knowledge point. Don't worry about controlling the mount, luckily it will move automatically on its own. You can find the list of all archery challenges on the All Horseback Archery page.
