1. Red jugs with white shields appear quite regularly in the game world. Their most common use is to inflict damage on nearby opponents. It's best to wait until the enemies approach the jars, and then use any ranged attack (e.g. kunai, teppo). The explosion will kill weaker enemies and severely injure elite opponents.

How to lift a red jug?

1. Explosive red jars can also help in solving environmental puzzles. An exploding container can contribute to tearing down a weakened wall or a barricade, and unlock a new passage.
2. Unfortunately, Naoe cannot pick up red jugs and no interaction prompt will appear when approaching them. To use them, you need to unlock Yasuke first and switch to him. Only then will the interaction prompt appear.

1. Depending on the type of puzzle, you can approach the barricade and place a red jug there, or throw the jug (by holding L2/LT and pressing R2/RT on the controller). The second option comes in handy if the jug has to go across a chasm or land on a higher shelf, because Yasuke can't climb while holding a jug. In the end, always use a ranged attack (e.g. any bullets from Yasuke's teppo).
