Assassins Creed Shadows: Which quests are the main ones?

Where are the main missions in AC Shadows? Our guide should help you better understand the information found on the Objective Board. You will be able to choose those quests from the journal that lead to the finale of the Shinbakufu storyline, as well as the endings of Naoe's and Yasuke's storylines.

How to recognize main missions on the Objective Board?

1. As a reminder, the Objective Board in AC Shadows game replaces the classic journal. It allows you to view all quests on one large screen, but it also has its drawbacks and one of them is poor readability. We will try to easily explain to you which quests on the board are treated as main missions.
2. The most important category is Shinbakufu (1 in our picture). There are a total of 12 main objectives that you need to locate as part of the main plot, but it's not like you can immediately set off to their locations. You always have to first complete a series of smaller missions that will appear on the Objective Board under the icon of a given target.
3. Advancing in the main story also requires completing tasks from other categories on the board. These are primarily personal quests for Yasuke and Naoe (2 and 3 in the picture). These can be tasks related to, among others, the protagonists' past or the assassins' storyline.
4. The last important category is the League (4 in the picture). The most important friendly characters are listed there, including recruited allies. To complete the main storyline, perform missions for Junjiro and Tomiko, which will ultimately allow you to finish act 3 and the epilogue.
5. All remaining things, including other groups for elimination (e.g. Yokai, The Twisted Tree), are optional. You don't have to complete them to advance to the next act.
