The second season of Batman: The Telltale Series, which debuted in 2016. In this adventure game by Telltale Games (the developers of such titles as The Walking Dead: A Telltale Games Series and The Wolf Among Us: A Telltale Games Series) the player follows the dark story of Bruce Wayne and his superhero alter-ego. This time Batman has to challenge both Joker and Riddler as well as a merciless federal agent who has just came to the city of Gotham. The story is split into five episodes, the first one of which launched in August 2017. In the game you get to explore small locations, talk to characters met there, play through QTE sequences and, of course, make difficult moral decisions that determine how the story unfolds. Batman: The Telltale Series - The Enemy Within features actors that made the appearance in the first game. Batman is starred by Troy Baker, while his arch-nemesis Joker by Anthony Ingruber.

Another episodic adventure game developed by the experienced American studio Telltale Games, who had produced many highly acclaimed video games based on famous films, books, and comic books, such as Back to the Future, The Walking Dead, and Game of Thrones. Batman: A Telltale Game Series takes you into the grim city of Gotham, however, unlike Rocksteady’s popular action game series, Telltale Games’ production focuses on Bruce Wayne himself, showing his moral dilemmas and the burden imposed on him by the constant fight against corruption and crime. In terms of gameplay the title does not stray far from the studio’s previous productions. As always, the key element of gameplay is making tough choices that influence the way the story unfolds – and not just within one chapter but across the entire season.

When the panic begins to spread in the society, the task of capturing the guilty, falls, of course, on the shoulders of our protagonist. A humoristic adventure game with a classic point-and-click interface. It was developed by Daedalic Entertainment, a studio that specializes in this genre. The story of Deponia can be described as one big comedy of errors and, at the same time, the most unbelievable love story ever shown in a video game. Fans of works by Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, and of The Simpsons animated TV series, will easily find it interesting. The title refers to a planet filled with heaps of garbage among which the main character, Rufus, lives. His greatest wish is to be rich and live someplace high, above the surface of the hated planet. Once upon a time, a beautiful girl, Goal, falls from the sky, and for Rufus it will mean the beginning of an extraordinary adventure that will quickly prove to be much more than a mission of walking a woman home. The story is shown using attractive, hand-drawn graphics, through which, among others, it provides a large dose of wacky humor.

A three-part episodic adventure game by Telltale Games that came out as an expansion to The Walking Dead: Season Two. The game takes us back to the world where human population was decimated by a zombie virus. As the title suggests, it focuses on one of the most recognizable characters from the original graphic novel – Michonne, the series' relentless, sword-wielding heroine. Since the original story revealed only shreds of her past, the game tries to fill in the gap by depicting the events that caused Michonne to leave Rick, Ezekiel and the rest of the group, and why she came back. Gameplay mechanics is the same as in the previous installments in The Walking Dead series, therefore, you mainly explore, talk to other characters, and make tough choices that determine how the story unfolds. The game does not include logic puzzles, which usually are the landmark of the genre, instead featuring simple action sequences.

We play as the leader of a motorcycle gang, who, along with his companions, is being accused of killing the owner of the last remaining company that produces classic motorbikes. Our job is to clear our name and find the actual person responsible for that murder. Audiovisuals of the original game were visibly refreshed and improved. New high-resolution backgrounds were created for the remastered version, and every animation frame was re-drawn by hand from scratch.

The result of the independent Polish studio Pixel Crow's cooperation with 11 bit studios, the creators of This War of Mine. Beat cop is a point-and-click time management game. You play as Jack Kelly, a former NYC detective who was framed for murder and demoted. Hated by everyone around, Jack is trying to reconcile his duties with conducting a private investigation in order to discover who framed him. The plot of Beat Cop is non-linear and its many endings depend on your decisions. Interestingly, the game was inspired by American crime TV shows from the 70s and 80s, which is reflected in its atmosphere and humor. The time-management element of the production is most visible when you're patrolling the streets of Brooklyn, while during the investigation segments it becomes a detective/adventure game. Beat Cop has a distinct retro feel thanks to its pixel-art graphics and oldschool soundtrack.

The only salvation seems to be traveling back in time in order to prevent the tentacle from being born. However, after the time machine malfunctions, the situation gets more complicated, as the heroes get trapped in three different historical periods. An extraordinary point-and-click adventure game and a spiritual successor to the legendary The Neverhood, a game developed in 1996 by Doug TenNapel. What distinguishes the game, is its unique artwork – in-game locations and character models were made of plasticine and brought to life using time-lapse technique. This time-consuming work was done by a number of puppeteers, animators, and sculptors. Thanks to their work, the developers managed to recreate the unique atmosphere of the original game, which, apart from interesting story and a cast of likeable characters, offered a large doze of wacky humor.

The characters present are a stronger feature of this game - apart from others, the player assumes the role of Ransome - a clown suffering from a curse which makes him unable to get rid of his stage make-up. Franklin is another of the characters the player will be in control of in this game; one day, he (Franklin) discovers that he has died. The player will also assume control of two detectives investigating a case of a body found nearby; Dolores on the other hand, needs to read the testament of her rich uncle. When it comes to the story, the creators mixed a unique taste in humor with different possible endings. All of this is complemented by visuals modeled after LucasArts' classics, as well as an interface resembling the legendary SCUMM system.

An adventure game designed by Benoit Sokal, the famous Belgian comic writer, in cooperation with studio Microids. Syberia is the first chapter of the adventures of Kate Walker, an American lawyer hired by the company that produces automatons – mechanical toys. She is tasked with finishing the formalities related to taking over a factory located in a small city in Europe. The game begins when the protagonist arrives at the factory and learns that its owner, Anna Voralberg, is dead. In order to complete her mission, Kate must find her heir. The task pushes her to embark on the greatest adventure of her life. During the journey she will visit various climatic and mysterious places located in the Eastern Europe and she will meet many interesting people. Since it's a typical point-and-click adventure game, the gameplay consists mostly of exploring locations, solving riddles and speaking with non-playable characters. Syberia is famous for its climatic graphics with pre-rendered, hand-drawn backgrounds.
