Alone in the Dark: The New Nightmare is a classic survival-horror. We play one of two different characters (Edward Carnby and Aline Cedrac). During the game we solve not too complicated puzzles, and we fight spectacular duels with terrifying creatures.

A classic survival horror movie from PlayStation, which started one of the most popular series in its genre. In the game we play the role of Harry Mason, who together with his daughter goes on holiday to the title town of Silent Hill. On the spot, the protagonist undergoes an accident, after which it turns out that his daughter has disappeared and the city is shrouded in dense, mysterious fog.

Film adaptation from 1996 released on PlayStation 1. Production is a typical walking brawl based on the theme of revenge, in which console owners face the prevailing enemy forces and take part in dozens of fights.

Adventure 13 December 1996

Clock Tower is the sequel to 1995's Japan-only survival horror. One of the game's most important features is its dark, depressing story, widely considered one of the scariest narratives in the history of video games.

Action 10 October 2000

A shooter with elements of horror, based on the popular Alien: Awakening from 1997. The production depicts the fate of cloned Ellen Ripley and a group of mercenaries trying to survive the clash with bloodthirsty aliens. The production allows players to play four different heroes, and each of them has a unique equipment. Among the opponents there are iconic xenomorphs, small hugger guys and hostile soldiers.

Adventure 14 July 1999

The first installment of the Echo Night series, created by FromSoftware in 1998. It's a first-person adventure game with horror elements, revolving around exploration and puzzle solving. The game's main themes are time travel and paranormal events.

Adventure 31 March 1997

Based on French film production, this is an adventure game in which players play the role of a child looking for their abducted friends. In the title there are no elements of the fight - the game is limited to exploring the city, solving riddles and searching for necessary items.

Adventure 12 March 1998

The third installment of the series of adventure horrors using point & click mechanics. The production does not relate to the previous parts and introduces a few new features, such as the option to switch between the two personalities of the main character.

A production based on the soot "Dead Evil", which depicts the further fate of the heroic Asha. The title is a survival horror film that uses proven mechanisms and motifs characteristic for the whole genre.

Opening the series Legacy of Cain adventure game in which the camera presents events from the bird's eye view. The main character is an aristocrat turned into a vampire, who is looking for a way to regain his humanity.

The first production by Squaresoft studio, which was addressed to adult audiences. Parasite Eve combines elements of horror with mechanics known from action games and RPGs in an innovative way.

Action 16 December 1999

Continuation of an unusual combination of horror and action game with elements associated so far with RPG productions. The title tells the story of Ayi Brei, an officer who traces monsters that threaten people.

RPG 30 November 1999

A Japanese role-playing game in the horror convention. The title is embedded in the universe with the time developed through the Shadow Hearts cycle. The action of the game takes place in 1898 and focuses on a young woman exploring the secrets of a gloomy monastery. In terms of mechanics, production combines the exploration of a prerendered environment with real-time, three-dimensional battlefields.
