You cooperate with other players or compete against them, trying to rebuild West Virginia decades after a nuclear disaster. Fallout 76 features many elements from Fallout 4, but the plot is less relevant and the game focuses on building outposts.

Divinity: Original Sin II - Definitive Edition (PS4)

A direct sequel to Divinity: Original Sin and another installment in the popular RPG series launched in 2002 by the Belgian developer, Larian Studios. The story takes place once more in the fantasy land of Rivellon and presents events that occur between the first and second game in the franchise. This time around, we assume the role of a sorcerer, who uses the forbidden powers of the Source and is constantly pursued by the Order. We can determine the race and origin of our character, both of which influence the attitude of the encountered NPCs towards him or her to a large extent. The gameplay mechanics do not deviate significantly from the previous game in the series, although the developers did introduce a few novelties, such as a modified combat system, new element combinations as well as Source Powers. Contrary to its predecessor and other titles of the franchise, the production has a clearly darker atmosphere.
Cyberpunk 2077 (PS4)
A science-fiction RPG title based on tabletop role-playing game Cyberpunk. This production was developed by CD Projekt RED studio – the team who gained worldwide acclaim thanks to its successful The Witcher series – actively supported by the co-writer of the original system, Mike Pondsmith. The story takes you to the year 2077, featuring technically advanced, albeit corrupted world of the future. The game is set in Night City, a place known well to the fans of Cyberpunk universe, where ominous intrigues and secrets thrive. While exploring the game’s open world, you learn the complex, multi-threaded narrative through numerous dialogues, which often put you up against tough moral choices. Classes and character progression system, combat model, as well as dozens of in-game augmentations were inspired of the original role-playing system. The visual side of the game is built on enhanced version of Red engine, previously used in The Witcher 3.
Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire (PS4)

From now on, he or she has to pursue a new goal, which is to hunt down Eothas as well as find answers to questions that can bring chaos to the world of gods and mortals. Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire takes the player to the eponymous Deadfire archipelago in the far east. In this new region you can travel not only on foot, but also by ship. While controlling your party of characters, in the classic isometric view, you get to explore different locations, complete missions of varying importance and fight with opponents met on the way. Note that the world of Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire lives a life of its own, and the choices you made in the first game have consequences here too. Some changes and improvements were made to the User Interface and dialogue system as well as the visuals, which now feature dynamic weather.
Final Fantasy VII Remake (PS4)
A modern remake of one of the most popular jRPG games of all times, developed for PlayStation 4 by the long-standing publisher of the Final Fantasy series, Japanese company Square Enix. The game is set in a universe that combines technology and fantasy elements. The player becomes a former soldier and mercenary, who joins an insurgent group called AVALANCHE. Its objective is to put an end to activities of the Shinra corporation that drains the planet’s energy, leading to an imminent end of the world. The remake stays true to the original mechanics, which boil down to exploration, conversations, character progression, and turn-based combat. The game features brand new graphics, as pre-rendered backgrounds gave way to fully 3D locations. Furthermore, the cartoonish character designs were dropped and look much more realistic.
The Bard's Tale IV: Barrows Deep (PS4)

The fourth installment in the legendary RPG series launched back in the mid-80s. The title was developed by inXile entertainment thanks to the funds raised at Kickstarter, and its production was overseen by Brian Fargo, the creator of the initial entry of the franchise. The action takes place in the fantasy world known from previous installments of the series. The city of Skara Brae is its center. From there, the players set out to conquer numerous ruins and dungeons leading a party consisting of various races and classes, which influences the course of the plot as well as the attitude of the encountered NPCs. The available locations are grid-based in design, while combat takes place in an unusual, phase turn-based system that allows our party members to perform two actions simultaneously and thus achieve a synergy effect of various skill combinations. Bardic music also plays an important role during the fights. The ballads were recorded in Gaelic language.
Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr (PS4)

The game is an action RPG created by Neocore Games. The player takes control of the titular Inquisitor, who investigates the mysterious Caligari Sector. The gameplay focuses around exploring randomly generated areas, doing various quests, and fighting hordes of enemies, among them (enemies) the players can also encounter huge bosses. Besides the single-player campaign, the game includes a co-op mode and a PvP mode as well.
Kingdom Hearts III (PS4)
A third main entry in the popular jRPG series, started in 2002 on PlayStation 2 console. The production, developed by Square-Enix, is a closing act of the story taking place in a unique fantasy universe, which combines the worlds of several movies and TV dramas created by Disney with the Final Fantasy series. The main characters are Sora, Riku, and Kairi from the previous games, along with well-known Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, or Goofy. We witness the final face-off between light and dark, the latter embodied by an organization named XIII, led by master Xehanort. While the visuals have been significantly enhanced, Kingdom Hearts III employs the mechanics and fighting system known from its predecessors. We observe the game’s world from third-person perspective, while during the real-time battles we can count on the support from our two allies, each with a unique set of skills.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age (PS4)

The action of Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time takes place in a fantastical land of Lotozetasia, while the player assumes the role of a inhabitant of the Ishi village. On his 16th birthday, he discovers that he is an incarnation of a hero who saved the world from annihilation many years ago. Since then, the youngster’s life takes a radical turn, and his further fate is uncertain. Accompanied by loyal friends, the protagonist embarks on a journey which will seal his destiny. The production is very sandbox — at its core are exploration of the environment, conversing with non-player characters, and performing quests given by them. Turn-based combat is an integral part of the gameplay. To win a battle, we have to adequately develop our character and adjust our equipment accordingly.

Biomutant is an open world RPG developed by Experiment 101 and published by THQ Nordic. The game takes the players to a peculiar world inhabited by humanoid animals – the universe combines post-apocalyptic science fiction elements with themes from Wuxia movies. Upon starting their adventure, the player has to create their character from scratch and develop them as the story progresses – one can choose multiple cyber-implants and mutations enabling their character to use certain special abilities. During the story campaign, one can explore the vast open world and complete consecutive tasks. The most important aspect of the game, however, is fighting numerous foes and making a good use of the arcade combat system, which allows the player to utilize various firearms and multiple types of melee weapons. Also important are the companion droids, which can be developed and modified by players. Moreover, the game features a crafting system. The exploration is even more entertaining due to the access to multiple means of transportation, such as jet skis, balloons, and flying saucers.
NiOh 2 (PS4)
A sequel to the soulslike game from 2017. It was developed by the creators of the first entry in the series, Team Ninja. In NiOh 2, the players once again assume the role of a samurai who face hostile people and mythical, paranormal creatures.
Immortal: Unchained (PS4)

A 'souls-like' action RPG developed by Toadman Interactive, known for creating Bloodsports.TV. The game described herein resembles the Dark Souls series in many ways, however, in Immortal: Unchained the players use firearms instead of melee weapons in combat. One assumes the role of a being called the 'living weapon', released from the eternal prison, as it is the only one capable of stopping the cataclysm at hand. The gameplay is very demanding - when exploring the fantastical world the player's character is bound to die very often, and it is up to the player to draw conclusions from each death. A system known from the game developed by From Software introduces a facilitation into the game - after death, the player loses all their items, however, they can reclaim them by reaching the place of their death. On their adventure, the player gets to visit multiple locations connected with a network called Stream. The game is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC Windows.

The Caligula Effect: Overdose is a remake of the turn-based jRPG from 2016. In comparison to the original, this title has not only updated graphics but also an extensive campaign which is twice as big.
God Eater 3 (PS4)
An action-RPG title for PlayStation 4. It focuses on fighting against hordes of huge monsters using a rich arsenal of weapons and attacks. Battles are fast-paced and based on arcade controls, and players can go through the campaign by themselves or in cooperation with each other.

The game invites the players into an Europe-sized open world where they have to face the danger and survive. The players can start the adventure as either a human or an animal, such as wolf, bird or fish. Wild offers a non-linear gameplay with breathtaking visuals and a dynamic weather system.

The Banner Saga 3 is the third game of the turn-based strategy games series with RPG elements, developed by Stoic and inspired by Viking culture and beliefs. The plot continues the story from the previous games of the series. Once again, we lead a caravan of brave warriors who, in the face of the impending end of the world, have to defeat evil once and for all. When it comes to gameplay mechanics, not much has changed. The game is still a turn-based strategy with RPG elements. We will meet many NPCs, some of them will join us, and some will give us various quests to do. In combat, we lead a group of heroes who have different abilities and equipment. We can set up a camp to level up our warriors and equip them with better items between the battles. The Banner Saga 3 has a bit more darker, hand drawn 2D visuals that bring to mind Disney animated movies.

Death's Gambit is an oldschool 2D action RPG developed by White Rabbit, inspired by the classic games like Castlevania or Shadow of the Colossus and newer productions such as Demons' Souls. We play as the Emissary of Death, and our job is to purge the world from the immortals. The game takes place on a medieval planet, where we will have to face numerous knights, undead, and monsters. From time to time we will also encounter gigantic monsters that will require us to climb onto them and find their weak points in order to defeat them. Gameplay focuses on action, battles, and high difficulty level. The game requires us to plan our actions and think outside the box. Death's Gambit also has some RPG elements, like the character progression system, special abilities, or a wide array of weapons and equipment.
Deep Down (PS4)
An action RPG developed by Capcom Online Games in cooperation with SCE Japan Studio. The story of Deep Down presents a future in which humanity created a technology that allows people to travel into the past written in artifacts. The players assume the role of a group of time-travelling heroes to hunt treasures and fight monsters. The gameplay is specifically designed to allows cooperation of up to four players. The built-in social features allow communication with friends, calling them to aid us, and item sharing. Deep Down boasts high quality graphics powered by the Panta Rhei engine. The game is free-to-play and offers optional facilities for a fee.
