A space simulator created by Chris Roberts and the Cloud Imperium Games developer team. The plot of Star Citizen is set in the 30th century. Humanity, united under the banner of United Earth Empire, has begun the colonization of the universe, encountering many alien races in its course. It is a unique opportunity for adventurous pilots to gain fame and wealth, as well as the treasured status of an intergalactic empire citizen. The gameplay combines elements of spaceship simulator, shooter, cRPG, as well as economic strategy. The game offers two modes. Squadron 42 is an offline campaign, in which the player-controlled character joins an elite squadron of star fighters. For MMO aficionados, the developers have created the Galaxy Mode, allowing them to play with thousands of others. Spectacular visuals of Star Citizen are generated by the CryEngine 3 engine.

Set in science fiction realities, an MMO simulator developed by Crowd Control Productions from Iceland. The action of EVE Online takes place in a universe called New Eden, which consists of over 5,000 star systems. On the beginning of the adventure you create your own hero by choosing his/her e.g. face, past, and origin. At first you get just a small spaceship and some credits. Your mission is to explore remote places of the universe in order to complete various story missions given by NPCs. These independent characters represent a broad spectrum of factions in which you gradually build up your position. With progress, you successively develop your avatar by acquiring new skills. The game also features ship customization. You can also upgrade vessels with new modules that influence performance, weaponry, and armor. There is no idleness in space, as creators constantly add new missions and challenges.

Starlink: Battle for Atlas is a science fiction action game developed by Ubisoft. The game takes place in a distant future in the titular Atlas planetary system, a place full of breathtaking alien worlds. This part of the galaxy is on the brink of destruction due to the invasion of the machines known as the Forgotten Legion. Our job is to stop the machines and defeat their leader, Grax. Starlink: Battle for Atlas is an action game where we control our own, self-made space ship. We use it to fight not only in space, but also in the atmosphere of many planets. The game’s world is open and dynamic, and changes under the influence of ours and our antagonists' decisions. What makes Starlink: Battle for Atlas a unique game is the fact that it is integrated with spaceship minifigures that are sold separately. Those minifigures are modular, which allows us to manually change their parts and pilots. These changes are instantly taken to the virtual world.

Developed by Nosebleed Interactive, a space shooter enriched with elements of so-called clickers. Vostok Inc. is set in the distant future and the player assumes the role of a newly chosen chairperson of the titular company. The protagonist's goal is to gather a gigantic fortune through the completion of assigned tasks. The gameplay formula was based on two pillars. When exploring space, the player travels among 40 planets, encountering different threats, such as hostile vessels or powerful bosses. In combat, the player makes use of large array of weaponry developed over time in a complex crafting system. The other, strategic layer of the experience involves landing on the encountered planets in order to colonize them and acquire valuable resources. As the company develops, the player recruits new specialists. In the free time, one can play one of 13 old-school mini-games inspired by hits released a few decades earlier.

A science-fiction role-playing game by Michael Hoge, the creator of the Gothic series and the co-founder of Pirahna Bytes. The game, which started as a free time project, was developed with the help of his friends from small studio Pirahna Bytes Red. Spacetime takes place in outer space, and you play as the captain of a ship, who explores the galaxy, discovers new planets, and fights the encountered enemies. The game gives you a lot of freedom when it comes to gameplay and exploration. You can also develop your ship and recruit its crew, although there is no traditional level-up system, and the ship can go basically anywhere right from the start. The game utilizes a first-person perspective and the advanced Unreal Engine 4.

A top-down space shooter game designed specifically to deliver a co-op experience. The creators of the game, Climax Studios, were inspired mainly by titles popular long ago in arcades. The player takes on the role of an adventurer-pilot, who lives in the criminal center of the galaxy. The protagonist earns their living by selling valuable pieces of hardware salvaged from destroyed spaceships, oftentimes neutralized by themselves. Everything changes when an AI-controlled alien fleet declares a war on the civilized part of the galaxy. Smelling a great fortune to be made, the protagonist quickly sets out to save the world. The player's goal is to defeat the aliens, but definitely not for free. One flies here in a squad of up to four players. Moving across 2D maps, the player will face countless enemy ships belonging to the aliens, law enforcement, or rivaling pirate gangs. Everyone who stands between the player and valuable loot is the target in the game. Using the hardware collected, the player can create new weapons, shields, and engines, in order to make the ship's capabilities suit one's play-style.

Independent RPG, in which you assume the role of an Artificial Intelligence. The player’s job is to help the humanity in exploration of space. To do this, the protagonist is sent onto a space station, called The Ark, which is the base of operations. This is where you hire and train new astronauts, equip your spacecraft with necessary instrumentation and design its interior, as well as conduct research in order to improve the technology at hand. Next, you set off on a mission, the success of which depends on the actions you took on The Ark. The world in The Sentient is randomly generated, so nothing is ever 100% sure. Doing missions grants experience and knowledge, which translates to new possibilities. Due to permadeath feature, when your crew members die they are gone forever, so you should be careful not to lose an experienced employee. On the other hand, the bigger risk you take, the better reward you can get. The Sentient features 2D pixel-art graphics styled after 8- and 16-bit console games.

Another full-fledged installment in a series of popular space shooter games developed by Fishlabs Entertainment. In terms of the mechanics, this iteration does not bring any revolutionary features and remains similar to its predecessors in many aspects. Galaxy on Fire 3: Manticore is first and foremost a third-person space shooter taking the player to the Neox sector - where they become a bounty hunter and their role is to complete subsequent assignments for adequate rewards. The game is typically arcade and requires the player mainly to control their ship, though using different weapons and defensive gadgets in combat is also essential. The gameplay formula focuses on providing the player with a lot of freedom, apart from the game world as such. As a result, the player is capable of applying different methods of achieving their goals and complete various side missions.

An action game developed by RageQuit Corporation. It is an improved version of Strike Vector, a title that was released in 2014 on PC. During the game, the players are participating in dynamic air fights of futuristic vehicles that can switch between two modes of operation: a dynamic TPP fighter jet mode and a slower first-person perspective mode which gives greater precision of movement. Strike Vector EX offers a single player campaign, but the game is mostly focused on multiplayer mode in which more than a dozen of players can compete with each other. A characteristic trait of the game is the fact that despite the large size of the maps, they consist of narrow passages and complicated structures instead of large and open spaces. Getting through these structures at high speed requires good reflexes and nimble fingers.
