Strategy games. Victory depends here on player’s strategy and tactics. Main task is to control resources (e.g. troops, civil workers) in order to defeat an enemy or achieve some other goal. The gameplay can be turn-based or in real time (RTS). Specific types of strategy games are economic games and so called ‘tycoons’.

Another military strategy game in the publishing catalogue of Paradox Interactive, this one developed by the French studio Eugen Systems. Steel Division: Normandy 44 draws much inspiration from the Wargame series created earlier by the same developer, letting players take part in fights over Normandy in 1944. The game features playable armies of such nations as Nazi Germany, the United States, France, Canada, England, Scotland, and Poland.
Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault

An economic strategy game taking place in a post-apocalyptic world, where humanity has locked itself in fortified cities - the only way of surviving the attacks of alien monsters. The game was developed by Acquire, a Japanese studio known from Way of the Samurai, Tenchu, and Shinobido. In Aegis of Earth: Protonovus Assault, the player takes control of his own city, and fights against continuous waves of huge monsters. The cities are composed of a few districts that can be rotated 360 degrees.

Automation: The Car Company Tycoon Game is the debut of Camshaft Software. The game combines elements of strategy and simulation and casts the player in the role of a car-production company's owner. The game begins in 1946 and ends in 2020; the player's main goal here is to transform their company into a car industry giant. The gameplay as such is based on two pillars.
