An RPG text adventure game set in a post-apocalyptic world, designed by the creators of the MISERY mod for the video game S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat. The action of the game takes place on the territory of today’s Russia, now a country devastated by an ecological cataclysm that wiped most of humanity out of the face of Earth. During the game, the player gets to discover the true reasons behind the cataclysm and attempts to help in rebuilding the human civilization. In The Seed, the events are presented to players in the form of a text and it is up to the player to decide on the main protagonist’s actions - the history branches off and leads to one of over a dozen possible endings. Simultaneously, the gameplay revolves around RPG mechanics, thus the main protagonist exhibits a set of features, acquires useful pieces of gear, and interacts with other characters. Moreover, The Seed delivers some survival elements – one has to gather provisions, deal with various diseases, and avoid areas with high levels of radiation. The audiovisuals are enriched with animated sequences and sound effects.

The action of the game is set in a world in which the human kind is almost gone because of an outbreak of a virus that transforms people into strange and dangerous beasts. You assume the role of a survivor traveling from town to town to look for fuel and other important resources. Gameplay is divided into two separate aspects: the first one concerns keeping your train - the only means of transportation you have available - in good shape and taking care of its passengers. The other one involves exploration and fighting. Once in a while, you will stop at different places to thoroughly search them. Outside the train you can come across a variety of useful objects, or meet other survivors, but you will also stumble upon bloodthirsty creatures, which will need an immediate introduction to your broad arsenal of weapons.

A turn-based RPG set in a world taken over by zombies. Dead Age is developed by Silent Dreams, the developer responsible for e.g. The Dark Eye: Skilltree Saga and the Grotesque Tactics series. The player’s objective is make sure a group of survivors remains safe. Gameplay offers freedom, and your decisions lead to one of six alternative endings. At the beginning you arrive at the survivor’s camp, which you need to expand and provide with a substantial amount of resources, like food, medicines, weapons, and building materials. To do so, you have to step outside your shelter and face hordes of zombies and bandits. Combat in Dead Age is turn-based and to some extent resembles that in the Final Fantasy franchise. Relations between characters - friendships, romances, and quarrels - along with alliances with other groups of survivors have an enormous influence on the course of battles. Gameplay is complemented with random missions, NPCs you come across, and the fact that the death of characters is permanent.

A Minecraft-inspired sandbox simulation game that emphasizes survival aspects. It was developed by the independent developer Pathea Games and tells the story of a group of colonists whose ship broke down while landing on an uncharted planet. Those who survived the crash have to keep fighting for survival in an unknown and hostile environment. The gameplay mechanics are typical to the genre and involve primarily exploration, gathering resources, constructing various items, vehicles, and weapons. Building shelters and other defensive structures is also important for it increases our chances against aliens and wildlife. Multiplayer co-op is clearly the game's major focus, although the developers did implement a single player story campaign. The game is powered by the Unity 3D engine and uses the voxel technology for terrain modeling.

With them the game brings along unique hunting equipment designed to deal with new types of opponents. As you play theHunter: Primal you traverse vast open spaces, and there is even more stress put on sandbox and survival features than before. Similarly to the original game, interactions with other players are an important gameplay aspect. Thea 2: The Shattering is a sequel to the 4X strategy with RPG and card game elements developed by MuHa Games. Thea 2 takes us to the same fantasy land as the previous game, where we will find many inspirations from the Slavic mythology. We play as one of the gods who, with the help of his or her chosen heroes, tries to survive in the land of Thea. In terms of gameplay, Thea 2 is an evolution of the mechanics from the first game in the series. We can play in the style of a nomad, focusing only on expeditions and adventures, or have a more strategic approach and build many villages and join the conquered territories to our kingdom. Gathering resources is crucial in Thea 2: The Shattering. We use them in the game's complex crafting system. The lists of ingredients required for crafting items are, like the game's world, generated procedurally.
