A science-fiction action game with survival elements. The title was developed by Fenix Fire. In Osiris: New Dawn the player assumes the role of an astronaut participating in Osiris 2 mission. He is sent to a remote area of space in order to find out what happened to the Osiris 1 expedition. During the journey the astronaut is forced to land on an unknown planet inhabited by various predatory beasts which evolve during the night, becoming even stronger and more dangerous. The player starts the game with small supplies, so in order to survive, he must gather resources and use them to build structures and construct useful items. The gameplay concentrates on exploration and combat, using various weapons, vehicles, planes and robots. In contrast to other games of the genre, the survival aspects are only an addition. on which the player doesn’t need to focus too much.

The player assumes command of one of the starships; however, as a result of a mechanical failure, the vessel crashes on an uncharted planet and the protagonist, as the sole survivor, is put against impossible odds to stay alive. Gameplay-wise, Empyrion: Galactic Survival combines elements of adventure, strategy, and space simulation games, putting emphasis on survival aspects and the extensive crafting system. In the game, we arrive at various kinds of planet, where we have to face different dangers in the form of hazardous climatic conditions or hostile alien races.

As we play, we travel from town to town, camping on the way. We also collect and craft various items during our adventures. The game is slow-paced and focuses on being more relaxing than challenging. A survival sandbox game, in which the player assumes the role of an astronaut, who is trying to stay alive on a desolate planet. Developed by Craneballs, Planet Nomads offers the player with a procedurally-generated open world. One has to tend to his character’s basic needs - this means satisfying both hunger and thirst, as well as taking care of his general health condition. The main protagonist can fall ill, get a concussion, and break a limb, so one has to take notice of the threats posed by the environment, in the form of the planet’s fauna and flora. Additionally, one has to avoid poisonous gases, extreme temperatures, and radioactive radiation. In comparison to other games from the survival genre, Planet Nomads stands out in terms of its gameplay mechanics, allowing the players to erect structures using over a hundred different segments; this is also how one can create a vehicle to explore the planet more easily, and a spaceship to set off to a space voyage. All of this, however, requires resources - in order to find them, a player has to venture beyond the safe areas and scavenge the planet’s recesses that are much more dangerous. As the game progresses, one gains access to certain gear improvements - the multi-tool used for gathering resources, the protective space suit, and the jetpack. The game offers an additional treat in the form of the ability to destroy elements of the environment, composed of voxels. Planet Nomads offers support for mods.

As we play, we will meet other characters that we can trade with or cooperate, and later construct shelters. Buried Town makes use of unique, grayish visuals.

A MMORPG/shooter hybrid developed by the independent studio Cybertime Systems as an attempt to fill in the void left after the famed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series. sZone-Online takes us to a post-apocalyptic future, where risky scientific research has caused a worldwide cataclysm. A few generations later, the planet slowly returns to life, with humanity creating special anomaly zones that isolate dangerous mutated beings along with unlucky humans that inhabit the area. The player joins the ranks of so called Stalkers, and depending on his preferences, he can focus on lone treasure hunts, or join the conflict of interest between a few groups that fight for the control over the zone. We can choose from several specializations that determine not only the abilities of our character, but also the play style, and focus on enabling us to complete hundreds of story quests in an open world with an area of over 40 square kilometers. We can choose from numerous weapons, outfits, and special artifacts, along with an extensive crafting module present to fulfill any requests the player may have.

An MMO in Medieval setting, classified as a sandbox survival simulator. The game does not introduce a very refined plot; the players' characters, deprived of any memories, find themselves on the coast of a mysterious island, where it's everybody for themselves in the struggle for the royal throne. As in pretty much any survival game, the essential element of the gameplay is the need to obtain food, and the resources necessary to construct simple tools or, eventually, your own fort. The fort serves as a shelter, but it can also be attacked by other players struggling for supremacy on a given game server. Depending on your preferences, you can fight at close quarters or at range. Every confrontation requires an appropriate tactic. The game features a large dose of brutality; dismemberment and decapitation are shown in an extremely graphic manner. The whole production is characterized by detailed, fully three-dimensional visuals and realistic physics.

In Death Road to Canada the player's task is to travel the eponymous route from Florida to the city of Ontario in Canada and to survive the hordes of zombies attacking us along the way. In the game we control a team of up to five characters (human or animal), each of which has its own unique virtues and vices. Therefore, apart from having to search for other survivors, constantly gather supplies, and eliminate subsequent hosts of living dead, an extremely important element of the game is ensuring that our group members won't quarrel with each other. Gameplay is undoubtedly more attractive due to the fact that almost all of its elements are randomly generated, so each time we start the game a different story awaits us. The game features old-fashioned pixel graphics, reminiscent of the classic arcade hits.
