The gameplay mostly involves searching for materials, constructing fortifications, and fighting enemies. The game is distributed in free-to-play business model, offering some additional facilities for optional fee.

Thea 2: The Shattering is a sequel to the 4X strategy with RPG and card game elements developed by MuHa Games. Thea 2 takes us to the same fantasy land as the previous game, where we will find many inspirations from the Slavic mythology. We play as one of the gods who, with the help of his or her chosen heroes, tries to survive in the land of Thea. In terms of gameplay, Thea 2 is an evolution of the mechanics from the first game in the series. We can play in the style of a nomad, focusing only on expeditions and adventures, or have a more strategic approach and build many villages and join the conquered territories to our kingdom. Gathering resources is crucial in Thea 2: The Shattering. We use them in the game's complex crafting system. The lists of ingredients required for crafting items are, like the game's world, generated procedurally.

A first-person action game that follows the convention of survival horror. Bigfoot is a debut project of an independent Ukrainian developer, CyberLight studio. As the name suggests, the game focuses on the legendary humanoid creature living deep inside the Rocky Mountains. After a group of tourists goes missing in one of the nearby national parks in, as the police say, the result of an accident, the main protagonist, accompanied by his friends, decides to go to the site and investigate the case more closely. The players are offered a vast open world, in which they can explore lakes, swamps, and creepy caves. The gameplay builds on hunting down the titular adversary. The main protagonists establish their base in an RV, and during their hunt, they use a shotgun, a wide range of traps, and some other pieces of gear. The player can confront the Sasquatch (as Native Americans call it) alone, or in a cooperative mode allowing up to three players to join their forces for the hunt.

A science fiction survival sandbox game that combines arcade elements with numerous logic puzzles. It was developed by Teotl, a Swedish studio known for such productions as Unmechanical or The Ball. The story of The Souls Project is set in the world of the latter game, although the action takes place in the distant future where the Earth is at the verge of an ecological disaster. In the game, we assume the role of a space colonist, a member of an expedition to find new inhabitable worlds. However, the entire crew dies in a crash, and we find ourselves completely alone on an unknown planet. The gameplay combines typical sandbox survival simulator elements - such as exploration and the necessity of satisfying the character's basic needs — with an extensive story and logical challenges that require smart environment manipulation.

Before the official release, the game has been systematically developed and updated for a long period of 26 years. The action of UnReal World takes place during the Iron Age in a northern region of Europe that corresponds to the territory of modern Finland. There is no plot – it is a typical roguelike life simulator, offering freedom in shaping the fate of our hero, who can take up many professions or combine their selected elements. While traveling through the procedurally generated lands, one of the game’s key aspects becomes survival and the necessity to satisfy the character's basic needs, like water, food, clothing, or shelter. The game is characterized by high levels of realism, a turn-based combat system, tactical complexity, and extensive character progression system that offers hundreds of various abilities.

This seemingly idyllic place turns out to be infested with ravenous zombies. The protagonists (you can choose from Abby, Jack or Kenji) need to rely on their determination and survival skills in this hostile environment. The gameplay of How to Survive features an open structure, giving you much freedom in the way you decide to complete the quests. There is a strong focus on survival aspects — the characters need to gather food and water, and also rest between battles with the undead. A simple crafting system allows you to create your own armor and useful items.

The things you do in The Wild Eight include exploring environment, discovering secrets, constructing useful items and tools using a complex crafting system, improving your character’s skills and fighting mutated animals. You must also gather resources and use them for creating a shelter for the entire group as well as provide enough food and warmth for them to survive. Although the key to surviving lies group work, characters controlled by players differ in personality and skills, and you never know if one of your companions turns out to be a ruthless egoist in a critical situation. The Wild Eight is characterized by its original cartoonish stylistics.

An independent exploration game with survival elements from an in-house team of the Indie Gala company. We play as a heroine who found herself on a Mediterranean island, not knowing how, why, and by whom she was kidnapped. She must uncover the truth behind this event and escape. Die Young employs first-person perspective and focuses on exploration. Aside from that, the protagonist must fight for survival, gathering food, water and useful equipment. Because she can’t use any weapons, our heroine is forced to run from dangers and climb on her surroundings to avoid danger – otherwise, she will meet a horrible end at the hands of opponents, with decapitations with axe being common scenes. What makes Die Young stand out from other games from the genre are its high-quality visuals, with detailed, moved by wind plants.

A third-person perspective action game with survival features, inspired by the cult PS2 game Shadow of the Colossus. The title is a debut project of the independent American studio No Matter. Prey for the Gods takes place on a large island covered with ice. During the game the player assumes the role of a female hero who discovers the secret for the endless winter that rules over the land - turns out that some powerful gods are responsible for it. In order to restore the old order, she must face them. Similarly as in Shadow of the Colossus, the essence of the game consists of duels with giant enemies. In combat the player must be creative and observant – they must find weak points of the colossuses. The game also allows the player to climb on the giant bodies of the enemies. The title features many modern solutions, such as survival elements and a crafting system that allows for crafting of various weapons that are useful in combat.
