An unordinary action-adventure game which uses the style and tune of the 60s. The title was created by an independent studio Compulsion Games known for creating Contrast, a title that used similar style. In the game, the player travels to a fictional town in which, due to indoctrination and a wonderful drug, the citizens are constantly happy and all traits of dissatisfaction are immediately eliminated. The protagonist is one of the defiant citizens who are resistant to the system. In order to survive in the surrounding world, he must observe it thoroughly and understand its rules. The action is shown from first-person perspective and the gameplay is focused on exploration, and gathering various items and using them. While doing it, players must behave according to the social norms so that other citizens don’t become suspicious. The world of the game was characteristically exaggerated, but the game tells about many very important topics.

As a result of unexpected worm-hole rupturing the sky, the remnants of Militaries Sans Frontieres are teleported to an alternative, bleak dimension, inhabited by zombie-like monsters and scourged by numerous dangers. Our squad traverses post-apocalyptic locations, fighting off enemies using a wide arsenal of weapons, which includes firearms as well as melee weapons and bows. However, this time the players are cut-off from the support of the mother base – we need to gather the scarce resources, and use them to craft new weapons and equipment.

There is a strong focus on survival aspects — the characters need to gather food and water, and also rest between battles with the undead. The primary novelty is the possibility of interacting with other players who can turn out to be either precious friends or deadly foes. Don’t Starve Together allows us to play both with our friends and with complete strangers. Another appeal of the expansion is the fact that it comes with the previously released DLC, Reign of Giants, which expands the original title with new bioms, enemies, and a full year cycle. The production can be obtained free of charge by all owners of the vanilla game.

Its new version was created according to the developers’ first concept, which was previously impossible to realize in full, due to technological and financial limitations. Pathologic takes you to a small town, whose citizens suffer from a mysterious disease. In order to combat the epidemic the local authorities hire a group of independent individuals, whose task is to stop the spread of the virus before it is too late. All characters work independently from each other and conduct their own investigations. When compared with the original version, Pathologic Remake offers much better graphics, generated by the Unity engine. Emphasis was also put on new quests and plots, better gameplay balance, and improved AI of NPCs, as well as professional voiceover, the lack of which was the biggest fault of the original game.

The gameplay mostly involves searching for materials, constructing fortifications, and fighting enemies. The game is distributed in free-to-play business model, offering some additional facilities for optional fee.

A first-person action game that follows the convention of survival horror. Bigfoot is a debut project of an independent Ukrainian developer, CyberLight studio. As the name suggests, the game focuses on the legendary humanoid creature living deep inside the Rocky Mountains. After a group of tourists goes missing in one of the nearby national parks in, as the police say, the result of an accident, the main protagonist, accompanied by his friends, decides to go to the site and investigate the case more closely. The players are offered a vast open world, in which they can explore lakes, swamps, and creepy caves. The gameplay builds on hunting down the titular adversary. The main protagonists establish their base in an RV, and during their hunt, they use a shotgun, a wide range of traps, and some other pieces of gear. The player can confront the Sasquatch (as Native Americans call it) alone, or in a cooperative mode allowing up to three players to join their forces for the hunt.

Gameplay is divided into two separate aspects: the first one concerns keeping your train - the only means of transportation you have available - in good shape and taking care of its passengers. The other one involves exploration and fighting. Once in a while, you will stop at different places to thoroughly search them. Outside the train you can come across a variety of useful objects, or meet other survivors, but you will also stumble upon bloodthirsty creatures, which will need an immediate introduction to your broad arsenal of weapons.

This is the debut production from Axolot Games. The game itself is a multiplayer-focused sandbox mechanic simulator featuring elements of survival. The player takes control of a mechanic sent to a fully automatized agricultural planet to fix and maintain the machines working there. As it soon turns out, the robots inhabiting the planet went insane and the protagonist's task is to make a good use of his knowledge of machines in order to survive the attacks of mechanical enemies. Scrap Mechanic offers two completely different game modes: survival and creative mode. The latter offers pure entertainment and allows us to build machines without having to bother ourselves with threats. The survival mode resembles games such as Rust or Hurtworld, focusing on exploration, resources gathering, building different machines for various purposes, fighting, and cooperating with other players.
