An unordinary action-adventure game which uses the style and tune of the 60s. The title was created by an independent studio Compulsion Games known for creating Contrast, a title that used similar style. In the game, the player travels to a fictional town in which, due to indoctrination and a wonderful drug, the citizens are constantly happy and all traits of dissatisfaction are immediately eliminated. The protagonist is one of the defiant citizens who are resistant to the system. In order to survive in the surrounding world, he must observe it thoroughly and understand its rules. The action is shown from first-person perspective and the gameplay is focused on exploration, and gathering various items and using them. While doing it, players must behave according to the social norms so that other citizens don’t become suspicious. The world of the game was characteristically exaggerated, but the game tells about many very important topics.

This seemingly idyllic place turns out to be infested with ravenous zombies. The protagonists (you can choose from Abby, Jack or Kenji) need to rely on their determination and survival skills in this hostile environment. The gameplay of How to Survive features an open structure, giving you much freedom in the way you decide to complete the quests. There is a strong focus on survival aspects — the characters need to gather food and water, and also rest between battles with the undead. A simple crafting system allows you to create your own armor and useful items.

A first-person action game that follows the convention of survival horror. Bigfoot is a debut project of an independent Ukrainian developer, CyberLight studio. As the name suggests, the game focuses on the legendary humanoid creature living deep inside the Rocky Mountains. After a group of tourists goes missing in one of the nearby national parks in, as the police say, the result of an accident, the main protagonist, accompanied by his friends, decides to go to the site and investigate the case more closely. The players are offered a vast open world, in which they can explore lakes, swamps, and creepy caves. The gameplay builds on hunting down the titular adversary. The main protagonists establish their base in an RV, and during their hunt, they use a shotgun, a wide range of traps, and some other pieces of gear. The player can confront the Sasquatch (as Native Americans call it) alone, or in a cooperative mode allowing up to three players to join their forces for the hunt.

This is the debut production from Axolot Games. The game itself is a multiplayer-focused sandbox mechanic simulator featuring elements of survival. The player takes control of a mechanic sent to a fully automatized agricultural planet to fix and maintain the machines working there. As it soon turns out, the robots inhabiting the planet went insane and the protagonist's task is to make a good use of his knowledge of machines in order to survive the attacks of mechanical enemies. Scrap Mechanic offers two completely different game modes: survival and creative mode. The latter offers pure entertainment and allows us to build machines without having to bother ourselves with threats. The survival mode resembles games such as Rust or Hurtworld, focusing on exploration, resources gathering, building different machines for various purposes, fighting, and cooperating with other players.

The story is set in the 24th century, when Earth struggles with overpopulation, climate change, and natural resource depletion. Having found a wreckage of an alien ship, powered by an unknown energy source and containing a map of a distant galaxy, humanity dispatches a powerful space expedition. The player assumes command of one of the starships; however, as a result of a mechanical failure, the vessel crashes on an uncharted planet and the protagonist, as the sole survivor, is put against impossible odds to stay alive. Gameplay-wise, Empyrion: Galactic Survival combines elements of adventure, strategy, and space simulation games, putting emphasis on survival aspects and the extensive crafting system. In the game, we arrive at various kinds of planet, where we have to face different dangers in the form of hazardous climatic conditions or hostile alien races.

The gameplay concentrates on exploration and combat, using various weapons, vehicles, planes and robots. In contrast to other games of the genre, the survival aspects are only an addition. on which the player doesn’t need to focus too much.

The in-game character gets hungry, cold, tired, and in need of shelter, and the primary goal is to provide for his basic needs, which boils down to collecting items and employing the game's advanced crafting system. An action survival game developed by a Square Enix subsidiary – the development team consisted of such industry veterans as Yoji Shinkawa (the Metal Gear Solid franshise), Toshifumi Nabeshima (the Armored Core series) and Takayuki Yanase (Xenoblade Chronicles X). This game is set in the universe created for the Front Mission series. The players assume the role of three heroes trapped in a war-torn Russian city. Left Alive presents the events in the third-person perspective. As you complete consecutive missions you must fulfill diverse, non-linear objectives. An essential part of gameplay is combat – on the battlefield you get to use both firearms and self-made traps, as well as other deadly gadgets against your enemies. Alternatively, you are free to put down your guns and use a stealthy approach. Apart from enemy infantry, from time to time you must fight the so-called Wanzers, i.e. powerful mechs, iconic for the Front Mission series – interestingly, there are several occasions in the game, in which you can control one of those and strike fear in your opponents’ hearts. Other strengths of the game are high quality of graphics and atmospheric soundtrack.

A spin-off to the popular series from Konami, mixing cooperation-oriented play style with stealth and survival elements. Metal Gear Survive creates an alternative version of the events seen in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeros, in which the oil rig housing the self-appointed country has been destroyed by XOF, a ravenous military wing of CIA. As a result of unexpected worm-hole rupturing the sky, the remnants of Militaries Sans Frontieres are teleported to an alternative, bleak dimension, inhabited by zombie-like monsters and scourged by numerous dangers. Our squad traverses post-apocalyptic locations, fighting off enemies using a wide arsenal of weapons, which includes firearms as well as melee weapons and bows. However, this time the players are cut-off from the support of the mother base – we need to gather the scarce resources, and use them to craft new weapons and equipment.

Remake of a unique horror action adventure game from Ice-Pick Lodge, which originally launched in 2005 for PC. Its new version was created according to the developers’ first concept, which was previously impossible to realize in full, due to technological and financial limitations. Pathologic takes you to a small town, whose citizens suffer from a mysterious disease. In order to combat the epidemic the local authorities hire a group of independent individuals, whose task is to stop the spread of the virus before it is too late. All characters work independently from each other and conduct their own investigations. When compared with the original version, Pathologic Remake offers much better graphics, generated by the Unity engine. Emphasis was also put on new quests and plots, better gameplay balance, and improved AI of NPCs, as well as professional voiceover, the lack of which was the biggest fault of the original game.

Gameplay is based on three basic activities: find, act, and build. In Crashlands you can go fishing, grow crops, tame animals, and fight opponents using the equipment you constructed and upgraded with the in-game crafting system. The game stands out with its colorful, cartoonish artwork. Crashlands employs the popular free-to-play business model with microtransactions.
