How to Get Onyx Tear in V Rising

V Rising is a highly regarded game that has gained popularity among fans. It offers players the opportunity to construct their own vampire sanctuary. As the title is still in early access, it is continuously being developed and receives regular patches. Recently, a major content update called Secrets of Gloomrot was released, introducing many new resources and items, including the Onyx tear. In this guide, we will provide you with detailed instructions on how to acquire this valuable material.

V Rising - What is Onyx tear

Onyx tear is a new item added in Secrets of Gloomrot update. It can be dropped or crafted. This object is necessary to create legendary weapons (from shattered remains). So, you should gather as many as you can.

How to get Onyx tear in V Rising

As in the case of many powerful item in V Rising, to create Onyx tear you have to get the blueprint first. To get it, you need to to defeat Nightmarshal Styx the Sunderer (level 79, it raised in Secrets of Gloomrot). He can be found roaming the North-East region of the Cursed Forest. When you have the blueprint, you can use it to craft an Onyx tear on the Anvil. It costs:

  1. 3 Dark Silver Ingot,
  2. 3 Gold Ingot,
  3. 3 Power Core
  4. 1 Blood Merlot

However, Onyx tear can be also dropped by some high-level bosses (70+ level) and of course by Nightmarshal Styx the Sunderer himself. Nevertheless, it is a rare loot.
