Code Name: S.T.E.A.M. is an original mix of action game and a turn-based strategy developed by the Japanese studio Intelligent Systems. The game is set in a steampunk world. Action in Code Name: S.T.E.A.M takes place in the 19th century London invaded by aggressive creatures from outer space. During our adventures we control a four-person unit of soldiers which is a part of the elite S.T.E.A.M formation. Our job is to fend off the invaders. Combat is turn-based. In battle, we have to wisely manage our resources and rely on tactical actions, like flanking or ambushing our enemies. As we play, our soldiers get more powerful equipment, making them more effective in combat. We observe the action from a third-person perspective, just like in many action games. The game features fully-3D visuals.

Another entry in the tactical jRPG series that has been developed since 1990, as well as the second game for the Nintendo 3DS console to be made by Intelligent System. Its story is divided into two paths: Hoshido and Nohr, each available in one version – Birthright and Conquest. Both let us play in a fantasy world as Corrin (default name of the main hero or heroine) a member of one of the titular factions. Gameplay focuses on exploring the land and turn-based battles. As we progress with the plot, we gather experience points and develop our character. While Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright is a full-scale sequel, players who want to learn the whole story should also buy the Conquest edition, available with a discount as add-on.

Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest is another game in the popular tactical jRPG series developed by Intelligent Systems. The plot has been divided into two paths: Hoshido in Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright, and Nohr in Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. In Conquest, we play as Corrin, a member of the Nohr faction. Exploration and battles on vast maps are the core elements of gameplay in Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest. The player's additional quest is to start a revolution in the kingdom. To do so, he or she needs to complete various missions, such as base defense or breaching the enemy line. Even though Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest is a full game, to see the story of the opposing faction players have to buy Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright, an expansion that can be bought for a lower price if you already own Conquest.

A tactical jRPG developed by SEGA company in collaboration with Imageepoch studio. Game takes place in a fantasy real, which has been an oasis of peace and harmony for centuries. This state, however, was tainted by the sinister witch Hilda, whose ominous song gradually destroys the existing reality. Main protagonist of the game, knight Alto, is given the task of stopping her. In order to confront his opponent, the hero must recruit several other witches his team, all of them with their own combat songs. Gameplay is divided into two main segments: the world exploration is presented in a classic isometric perspective; when we encounter an enemy however, camera switches to a 3D view and tactical turn-based combat begins. Visually, Stella Glow is designed in a typical manga style, featuring super-deformed character models.

This tactical RPG is the eleventh entry in the acclaimed Fire Emblem series, and the first to be developed for Nintendo 3DS. In contrast to the previous installments in the series, the game is not a remake but an entirely new chapter in the history of the franchise. The story takes place 2000 years after the events of the original Fire Emblem and Fire Emblem Gaiden, focusing on a group of soldiers from the kingdom of Ylisse. The player controls a customized character suffering from amnesia, taken in by the king of the realm and serving him by defending the kingdom from monsters and forces of the hostile nation of Plegia. The gameplay, like in the previous titles in the series, focuses on tactical movement of characters across battlefield and fighting enemy units. Other features include the ability to build relationships between the characters to improve their abilities, adjustable difficulty levels, a mode that disables permanent death of characters, and multiple camera perspectives in battle.

Another installment in a series of SEGA's jRPGs that emphasize both tactical and strategic aspects; the franchise has its origins in 2009, on the Nintendo DS handhelds. The plot combines threads from the previous iterations, and is set in three different epochs. Thus the player is taken 10 thousand years back and visits the underwater kingdom of Atlantis. Then the game fasts-forward to 2100, and the action now takes place in Tokyo. A fictional fantasy world known as Eden is the third of the settings. The story focuses on the endeavors taken by Nodens (a Japanese corporation) to stop the titular dragon from awakening - its coming means total destruction of mankind. In terms of mechanics, the game is similar to its predecessors. The player takes control over a team of up to 9 characters, its task being exploration, completing quests, as well as fighting turn-based battles against multiple enemies. In combat, the player can make use of numerous attacks and special abilities that are developed with the player's progression.

Add-on for the twin edition of Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright and Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest, which requires one of those titles. It has been developed by Intelligent Games studio and lets us explore a new story line. The main character doesn’t work with Nohr or sides with Hoshido, instead working on his own to discover the truth behind the conflict of those factions. Compared to the base games, Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation doesn’t stray out too far gameplay wise, with the most notable novelty being My Castle – a special location where we can interact with our allies. As we form bonds with our friends, they are willing to offer more effective cooperation during fights. Interestingly, we can also meet other players there and fight against their armies through the Street Pass function. Add-on also offers Amiibo support, which gives us access to four characters: Robin, Ike, Lucina and Martha.

A colorful, cartoonish stationary first-person shooter developed by small Australian studio Nnnooo. The gameplay in Blast ’Em Bunnies focuses on eliminating waves of aggressive rabbits. During the game the player cannot move freely, being tied to a single firing position. Eight types of enemies can be found in the game; they differ from each other in terms of speed, toughness, and tactic, and becoming increasingly stronger with each wave. The main objective of the game is to eliminate the opponents before they get close enough to hurt the player. Four wacky weapons are used to exterminate the rabbits, including a carrot shotgun, a watermelon rifle, a turnip mortar, and a bean railgun. However, access to weapons and ammunition must be bought for in-game money earned in subsequent levels.

Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia is a remake of the 1992 Fire Emblem Gaiden, the second game in the famous jRPG series and was never before translated into English. Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia takes place in a fantasy world divided between two opposing factions. The game focuses on two childhood friends who, as adults, are fighting for the opposing sides. Their stories intertwine, allowing us to see what happens on both sides of the conflict. Like in every game from the series, gameplay focuses on turn-based battles where we control a small group of heroes. There are many of them available for recruitment, but only a handful can be used on the battlefield. We can level up our characters, explore the world, visit towns, and complete side quests between the battles. Unlike its precursor, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia features 3D visuals and fully voiced dialogues.

The action of Mercenaries Saga 2: Order Of The Silver Eagle is set in a classic fantasy realm and the player assumes the role of a warrior named Claude - the captain of the Kingdom’s Order of the Silver Eagle. The story begins with a hunt organized in honor of the world’s ruler, during which an assassin makes an attempt on his life. The monarch is hurt by a poisoned blade and the protagonist needs to find a legendary antidote. Mechanically, this is a classic tactical RPG inspired by series such as Final Fantasy Tactics, Ogre Battle, and Fire Emblem. The key element of the game are the turn-based battles fought on small levels with an isometric view. During combat, you command a party of several warriors. In order to be successful, it is vital to use their special skills cleverly and take advantage of the environment. The characters receive experience during combat, which enables you to develop their skills and statistics. Mercenaries Saga 2: Order Of The Silver Eagle features a retro style with huge pixels and simple character models.
