True to its title, the add-on takes us to Venice – a 15th century Italian city state, which the creators recreated with all details - and allows the players to visit places like Piazza San Marco or Doge’s Palace. Due to the unique location of the metropolis, many places can only accessed with new means of transport - gondolas.

Players take on the role of the leader of one of the 26 factions and participate in a 300-year struggle for dominance. In Poland the game was released under the title Polish Empire: From the Teutonic Knights to the Flood and contained a number of significant changes compared to the original edition.
