Sekiro Shadows Die Twice: Shichimen Warrior Boss Fight
Shichimen Warrior is one of the bosses in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. You will encounter this enemy in the place where the beginning of Ashina Depths corridor and Abandoned Dungeon connect. This boss uses magic and Terror - Shichimen Warrior isn't easy to defeat unless you get specific items. Read this chapter to learn the strategy that will help you defeat Shichimen Warrior.
Where can I find Shichmen Warrior?
Location: Ashina Depths / Abandoned Dungeon [Sculptor's Idol: Bottomless Hole]
Rewards: Ceremonial Tanto

Shichimen Warrior is a powerful mini-boss found in the place where Ashina Depths and Abandoned Dungeon connect. You can face this enemy at the beginning of the game after you reach Ashina Castle. If you want to go through Ashina Depths, you will have to defeat Long Shadow Longswordsman boss. However, you can reach Shichimen Warrior by going through Abandoned Dungeon. Go past Dungeon Memorial Mob, go down into the caves, jump down, and follow the corridor on the right to reach the boss's arena.

Activate Bottomless Hole Sculptor's Idol before you enter the arena. This bonfire is located on the hill. If you die during the fight, you will be able to access it right after you revive.
How to defeat Shichimen Warrior?
Shichimen Warrior is a challenging opponent who relies on Terror. The mini-boss keeps summoning spirits. If you touch them, they will deal you Terror damage. When the purple bar representing Terror gets full, you die.

The mini-boss has three main attacks:
- Summoning orbs - you can avoid them by, e.g. hiding behind the rocks. When Schichimen Warrior is in the middle of the summoning process, the area around him causes Terror damage.
- A beam - the mini-boss uses it only when you are far away from him; a very powerful and accurate attack.
- Attack with the staff - if you get close to the enemy and start attacking him, he will use his staff instead of magic.
- Sometimes, the mini-boss can teleport and reappear in a different place.

We recommend fighting this enemy at later stages of the game (preferably after you visit all the locations and acquire the items listed below). There are a few items that will make this fight easier. Also, you will need more strength and health. Stay close to the enemy - attack him after you leap towards the mini-boss. You also need to stay close to avoid devastating ranged attacks.
Items useful in this fight: Loaded Umbrella upgrade: Phoenix's Lilac Umbrella, Pacifying Agent or Molted Purple Gourd.
