The first non-standalone expansion for Cossacks 3, a real-time strategy game developed by GSC Game world. The biggest highlight of Days of Brilliance is the new single player campaign, based on Polish history in the 17th century. It allows us to take part in, among other things, the Battle of Klushino and the Battle of Vienna. In combat, we use the characteristic Polish units of the period, including the hussars. Moreover, the game features a set of five individual missions that recreate the key battles in Europe in the 17th and 18th century. Furthermore, Days of Brilliance extends the list of playable factions with two new ones, letting us lead Danish and Dutch armies (available for all owners of the vanilla Cossacks 3). Both have their own unique buildings, units, and musical themes. The DLC also enriches the remaining nations with a few new units.

A multiplayer action game developed by Pixel Federation. The players take part in space battles using ships built from a hodgepodge of parts found on space junkyards. The parameters and battle role of the individual ships is determined by the type of the ship (from a maneuverable frigate to a heavy battleship) and the chosen armament. Our ships can carry various weaponry, including rockets, lasers, or Gauss cannons. Additionally, we can also make use of useful modules, enabling us to immobilize an enemy or activate a defensive shield. The game revolves around team on team clashes – each match sees intense combat that involves locating our enemies and fighting on long distances – at the same time, the arenas contain numerous objects and space debris forcing us to maneuver or maintain a good heading. Aside from that, we are also given access to a special practice mode. Galactic Junk League is characterized by decent 3D graphics, while the game itself is distributed in a free-to-play model with microtransactions.

We learn to use the heroine’s abilities, including powerful attacks, jumps or dodges, which help her in clashes against single enemies, as well as more demanding bosses. However, the game is varied by the addition of the aforementioned narrator, who tells us which way to go, and points us to next enemies. Interestingly enough, we can ignore these tips, which on the one hand, irritates the narrator, but on the other allows us to discover various secrets hidden around the levels.

Developed by Arcen Games, AI War II is a science-fiction RTS game and a fully-fledged continuation of the studio’s 2009 debut project. AI War II picks up the story 355 years after the events from the previous installment. In the game, a player yet again takes command of the human army that during the past centuries has been preparing for war against the Artificial Intelligence faction. An enemy, who is much more powerful than expected, decides first to deal with other factions, which gives human operatives time to look for weaknesses in the AI’s tactics and defenses. In terms of its gameplay, AI War II builds on the foundation provided by the first installment of the series, and at the same time, it introduces a large number of novelties and improvements. Since the enemy forces are nearly inexhaustible, player’s task is not to annihilate the enemy but to systematically advance to consecutive strategic objectives. Unlike its predecessor, AI War II delivers a fully 3D experience and allows the players to lead to battle not only humans but also the powerful Spire faction, as well as the, missing until recently, Zenith civilization.

The player is taken to Gamearth, a planet which fell victim to space invaders who call themselves Nexgen. Rise is the only hope the inhabitants of Gamearth have - he is an 11-year-old boy equipped with a holy artifact - a pistol known as Shine. The gameplay formula in Rise & Shine was based on jumping across platforms, avoiding traps, solving simple puzzles and fighting enemies. The protagonist's weapon undergoes modifications that change the way the pistol works. As a result, the player can use ammunition enriched with electric charge or remotely controlled bullets. The experience comes with a high difficulty level and the player encounters both "cannon fodder" in large numbers and powerful bosses here. All of this is complemented by high-quality 2D visuals characteristic of their cartoonish art style.

A science-fiction arcade RPG developed by Radical Fish Games. We are taken to a distant future, to a world where humanity spends its free time by playing a futuristic MMO called CrossWorlds. Our hero – Lea – returns to the game after a long break, as the game’s administration suggests that her loss of memory may be averted by logging back to the game. Nevertheless, it quickly turns out that some of the CrossWorlds users remember her, and will attempt to make her life miserable to the best of their abilities. CrossCode mainly focuses on arcade combat and solving puzzles. Lea is a Spheremancer, a class whose main ability is to create energy spheres that can be fired in short succession. The heroine can also create a shield that absorbs the incoming attacks, or perform quick dodges. As always, we can improve our abilities by acquiring new skills found on a special tree, as well as equip more powerful gear. The game is especially characteristic for its eye-friendly pixel-art graphics. Interestingly enough, the game is seen from a two-dimensional perspective, with unaccented third dimension that comes into play when a hero climbs to an elevated location.

South Park: Phone Destroyer is a mobile strategy game based on a controversial animated TV series for adults. Developed by RedLynx – creators of the Trials game series – this South Park game installment is based on a free-to-play business model and features some microtransactions. During the game, the players have to collect cards representing characters known from the TV series and use them in order to build decks. Cards can be played during real-time battles, resulting in new characters appearing on the map and advancing on the enemy forces. The gameplay comes down to battles between two factions fighting each other from opposing sides of the screen. The creators prepared a typical for this kind of video games multiplayer mode. At the same time, the game offers an extensive story campaign, which, compared to similar games, is an unusual thing. Like the animated TV series, the entire game features the atmosphere of absurd comedy – jokes are plentiful, while the script riffs almost everything and everyone. Also, the visuals are kept in the same style as in the TV series, which should not come off as a surprise – South Park: Phone Destroyer has been created in cooperation with Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the fathers of the original TV series.

An unusual hybrid of a shoot'em up and an action RPG. The players are taken to a planet which was torn into pieces as a result of a global cataclysm. Those who survived the catastrophe had to conform to the harsh rule of megacorporations. In opposition to those, smaller and larger tribes emerged, whose members earn their living as mercenaries and smugglers. The protagonist is a smuggler himself, who pilots a combat ship while taking part in air battles, fighting armies belonging to the corporations, and trying to make it out alive. The game is played from a side view, and the experience is based on dynamic action, as the player constantly moves to the right and eliminates everything that stands in their way. The game was divided into randomly generated missions and the player fights different enemies while completing them. Among the adversaries, heavy cruisers are the toughest, because they serve the role of bosses here. To achieve victory, one has to maneuver their ship (it represents one of three classes) effectively, juggle different weapons, attacks and special moves skillfully, as well as to make a good use of the seventy active and passive abilities. Drifting Lands has eye-pleasing visuals, as it offers a colorful, cartoonish graphic style.

A real-time strategy game developed by Acquire in cooperation with Sony. The title is set in the universe created for the purposes of What Did I Do to Deserve This? for PSP. V! No Heroes Allowed R! takes us to a fantasy world. The sinister Overlord Badman wants to take it over, and so he summons the God of Destruction (the role of whom assumes the player) whose task is to eliminate heroes that try to thwart his summoner's plans. The gameplay is shown from the isometric perspective. Raising an army is at the core of the gameplay. Contrary to most RTS titles, we do not have direct control of individual units. Instead, we can sort of “suck in” a group of monsters with the controller and then drop them in a place of our choosing. Moreover, there is a number of special skills at our disposal. We unlock them by collecting the so-called Dragon Orbs. The game features a characteristic, fabulous visual style.

A survival sandbox game, in which the player assumes the role of an astronaut, who is trying to stay alive on a desolate planet. Developed by Craneballs, Planet Nomads offers the player with a procedurally-generated open world. One has to tend to his character’s basic needs - this means satisfying both hunger and thirst, as well as taking care of his general health condition. The main protagonist can fall ill, get a concussion, and break a limb, so one has to take notice of the threats posed by the environment, in the form of the planet’s fauna and flora. Additionally, one has to avoid poisonous gases, extreme temperatures, and radioactive radiation. In comparison to other games from the survival genre, Planet Nomads stands out in terms of its gameplay mechanics, allowing the players to erect structures using over a hundred different segments; this is also how one can create a vehicle to explore the planet more easily, and a spaceship to set off to a space voyage. All of this, however, requires resources - in order to find them, a player has to venture beyond the safe areas and scavenge the planet’s recesses that are much more dangerous. As the game progresses, one gains access to certain gear improvements - the multi-tool used for gathering resources, the protective space suit, and the jetpack. The game offers an additional treat in the form of the ability to destroy elements of the environment, composed of voxels. Planet Nomads offers support for mods.

A cooperation-based action game set in a post-apocalyptic steampunk world. The players assume the roles of crew members aboard combat airships and fight for survival during air battles. The creators of the game, the American studio Muse Games, had planned to release Alliance as a DLC expansion for their previous game - Guns of Icarus: Online. Over time however, Alliance became a full-fledged game which adds to the concept of its PvP-focused predecessor through implementing PvE contents, including cooperation-based missions and seasonal faction wars. In the co-op missions, the players assemble into 4-member crews comprising representatives of 3 classes: the Pilot, the Gunner, and the Engineer; then they complete various objectives and battle the AI-controlled airships of the enemy. Completing a mission affects the power of the faction the crew represents. One's faction fights other parties for domination over the world. On the world map, the factions fight seasonal wars - those are divided into two stages: the struggle for control over resources, and the actual wars fought by factions linked together into alliances by the developers. Great events and special achievements of particular players can become part of the game's story, which is being written by the creators.

A third installment in the Pinball FX series. In the game developed by Zen Studios, the player can try out new, themed pinball machines, as well as import most of the machines from Pinball FX2 and Zen Pinball 2. The game attempts to translate the real pinball experience into a video game setting. The player is tasked with bouncing the ball with the so-called flippers located at the bottom of the table to hit multiple targets and keep the ball in the game for as long as possible, before it falls into the drain located at the bottom of the play field, below the flippers. The objective of the game is to earn the best score possible. In comparison to the previous installments in the series, Pinball FX3 puts a much stronger emphasis on the multiplayer experience as well as social aspects of the game. The players can enter friendly matches, compete within an online league and tournaments organized by the fans themselves. Moreover, the game delivers several single player modes allowing the player to increase their skills and familiarize themselves with general rules.

A first-person action game developed by Uppercut Games, the company also known for creating Submerged. The game was inspired by The Book of One Thousand and One Nights, and tells the story of a thief who is trying to steal a treasure from a cursed city haunted by evil ghosts and monsters. The players get to traverse randomly generated locations in search for loot and gold, fighting numerous foes on the way. What makes the whole experience a bit more difficult is the permanent death system - each failure means that the player loses all of their possessions and has to start over. City of Brass is not an unfair game though - the players learn from their mistakes and, with time, are able to find enemies’ weaknesses, move more dynamically around the map, as well as use both traps and elements of the environment to their own advantage. Moreover, on occasions, one is bound to encounter friendly jinn who sell better equipment and grant a wish, as a result of which a ghostly companion might join the player in the battles to come.

Yomawari: Midnight Shadows is a horror action-adventure game developed by the Japanese studio Nippon Ichi Software and a sequel to Yomawari: Night Alone. The game takes place in modern-day Japan and tells the story of two girls, Yui and Haru, who can't find the way back home from their trip to the mountains. To make matters worse, they get separated after a short while. In terms of gameplay mechanics, Yomawari: Midnight Shadows will test our dexterity and wit. As we play, we explore a city that drastically changes when the sun came down and try to make the girls meet. The campaign has segments where we will play as both Yui and Haru. Actions we take as one of them influence the fate of the other. Our heroines are practically defenseless, so we will have to do anything we can to avoid any kind of confrontation. The gameplay, however, does not focus only on sneaking around. From time to time we will have to simply run away or defeat ghosts with the help of various items.

A rhythmic adventure game in which the essence of the game are battles for words. In comparison to other productions of this type, this title stands out due to the original mechanics of the game. The songs take on the role of extended dialogue trees, in which subsequent issues are arranged in successive lines. Success guarantees not only the right rhymes, but also enriching the tracks with the right emotional charge, fitting in with the weakness of a particular opponent. Behind the creation of this position are the bands NanaOn-Sha (PaRappa The Rapper) and iNiS (Gitaroo Man).
