An economic tycoon game that enables the player to assume the role of an airport director. The title was developed by Swedish developer Apoapsis Studios, and it challenges the player with designing and expanding a well-working airport complex consisting of many coexisting installations: runways, control towers, bus stops, sidewalks and roads to connect it all, etc. The most important part of the airport is the terminal – the building in which the passengers are checking in, waiting for the plane, visiting bars, shops and toilets. The freedom in designing the look and layout of the terminal enables the player to decide about the placement of each seat and plant. However, the placement of the key objects is most important: information points, security gates, toilets. The player must also hire personnel and cleaners. At some point it is possible to sign contracts with airlines and create air connections with other cities. Arriving planes will bring and take many passengers – each with unique traits and needs.

The gameplay builds on battles taking place in special 2D arenas. The player assumes the role of a warrior who represents one of the ten available combat styles that differ from one another in terms of special abilities and weapons used. When in battle, one can use his bare fists, cold steel (e.g. swords and katanas), ranged weapons (e.g. shuriken throwing stars, throwing knives), and a wide range of both offensive and defensive spells. The key to success lies in swift dodging and blocking enemy blows, as well as mounting counterattacks. Additionally, the battlefields can be demolished, which opens new strategic opportunities to the players. The gameplay becomes gradually more dynamic - the longer one plays the game, the faster his character moves.

The only hope for the city comes in form of four heroes who have nothing to lose and try to clear the streets of the metropolis using their fists and more or less improvised weapons. We move towards the right side of the screen while eliminating hordes of enemies, with distinctive and powerful mutated bosses. The combat system is based on brutal and spectacular attacks that can be chained to create even more powerful combos. However, the key to success lies in using surrounding objects along with active and passive powers of each hero. We can play both by ourselves and in cooperation mode for up to four players. A 2D platformer which is the first major project of an independent Czech studio FiolaSoft. The player assumes the role of a crew-member aboard a spaceship named Endera. The craft crashes on an object known as Entity, which is located inside a black hole. The protagonist's goals are to fix the damage caused by the collision, save crew-mates, and destroy the black hole from within, as it poses a threat to the planet Earth. Although the experience is almost entirely conventional, the developer decided to bring innovation in terms of the puzzles present, as the player manipulates gravity in this game. One can reach inaccessible parts of the map through rotating the game world in an appropriate manner. Since certain puzzles may pose a tough challenge, the player can seek help from Auriel - a talkative AI that remains at the protagonist's side throughout the adventure. Original audiovisuals constitute another distinctive feature of the game - the graphic style is funny and colorful and the soundtrack combines symphonic and electronic elements. It is worth adding, that the time spent on completion of a given level is recorded, so the players can share their results with others in the community and compete for best performances.

Dauntless focuses on cooperation mode and performing quests, most of which come down to hunting monsters. Due to the fact that they possess not only brute strength but also intelligence, it is necessary to learn their behavior and weak points before engaging them. Time plays a huge role in the battles – the more we fight, the faster and more ferocious they become. Heroes can use many different weapons and combat styles, as well as special skills. Defeating opponents gets players energy, called archonite, which can be used to upgrade arsenal and armors – the bigger the monster, the bigger the benefits. Dauntless employs carton-like visuals.

The player’s objective is make sure a group of survivors remains safe. Gameplay offers freedom, and your decisions lead to one of six alternative endings. At the beginning you arrive at the survivor’s camp, which you need to expand and provide with a substantial amount of resources, like food, medicines, weapons, and building materials. To do so, you have to step outside your shelter and face hordes of zombies and bandits. Combat in Dead Age is turn-based and to some extent resembles that in the Final Fantasy franchise. Relations between characters - friendships, romances, and quarrels - along with alliances with other groups of survivors have an enormous influence on the course of battles. Gameplay is complemented with random missions, NPCs you come across, and the fact that the death of characters is permanent.
