Dead Island 2: How to get XP fast?

In Dead Island 2, you can level up your character. The information in our guide explains how to get XP fast and level up more easily to make the hero stronger.
Story quests
You can get the most experience points for completing the main quests. Each completed story quest will grant you several thousand experience points. The XP reward increases as you advance in the main storyline. Initially, you will get 2000 - 2500 XP, but later on you will get 6000 - 7000 XP and more.
Side quests and Lost and Found quests
You also get more P for completing side quests, which you must first unlock on your own. These are:
- Side quests - they have blue icons on the map.
- The Lost and Found quests are treasure hunt quests and are marked with red icons on the map.
XP rewards are smaller in this case (usually 1000 - 1500 XP per quest), but there are dozens of side quests in the game.
Killing monsters
Unfortunately, eliminating zombies is not a good way to gain XP. This is due to the fact that you get very little experience for defeating enemies. One eliminated zombie is usually worth about 20 XP. Elite zombies can give you about 40 - 50 XP.
Nevertheless, we do not advise ignoring monsters, because by eliminating them, you can complete challenges and obtain unique crafting ingredients (unique body parts of zombies).
