Dead Island 2: Where is Hicks?

When going through the Beach Offensive story quest in Dead Island 2, you will have to find Lt. Hicks. Our guide explains where the quest items associated with Hicks are, where Hicks is hiding, and how to complete the access code to open the gate in the fort.

Explore the Venice Beach base

As you explore the Venice Beach district, you will begin the Beach Offensive story quest, which involves visiting the beach fort. You will learn that you will need an access code to remove the lockdown in order to unlock the rest of the base.

First, you must examine the command tent. There are 3 traces in it:

1. Duty Roster;
2. Lockdown Protocol;
3. Weekly Report.

Find Lieutenant Hicks

You will now learn that you need to find Lt. Hicks, who is in possession of the access code. You have to find 2 tracks to make the search bar to fill in 100%. These are:

Hicks' Bag - you will find it in the tent on one of the beds.

Photo - it is on the crate in the tent.

Defeat Hicks and get the access code

Now you can visit the toilets in the northern part of the search area. Hicks-zombie will jump out of one of them. Defeat the monster.

Examine the corpse and you will find the Lt. Hicks' Dog Tags.

By finding all 3 items (2 from the tent and the dog tags), the main character will manage to complete the access code. You will unlock the Army Lockdown Code and you can use it on the panel at the locked gate.
