A virtual adaptation of a Polish board game of the same title. It has been developed by independent studio Grey Wizard Innovative belonging to Piotr and Ewa Zygadlo, both experienced game developers (Artifex Mundi, Grim Legends 2: Song of the Dark Swan). Galaxy of Trian is set in a science-fiction universe, in which humanity gained access to advanced technology of an alien race, Trian, and uses it to strengthen rivaling nations. Gameplay mechanics match the tabletop original. The game is a turn-based strategy played on two-dimensional board, on which the player adds triangle pieces each turn, representing planets, space stations, trade routes or nebulas. Each piece has a different score value, and the key to success is connecting them to create constructions that are worth more points. Game ends when both sides of conflict run out of pieces to place, and the winner is determined by their final score.

Racing, Arcade Elements, Singleplayer.
A racing game for mobile devices, developed by Aquiris Game Studio and inspired by the 16-bit classics of the genre such as the Lotus series, Outrun, and Top Gear. In Horizon Chase, the action is observed from a camera placed behind the car, and our task is to complete subsequent tracks as quickly as possible. We have several vehicles of various performance at our disposal. With them, we race on deserts, city outskirts, and motorways. The driving model is purely arcade, while the gameplay is very fast-paced. Visually, the developers combined the camera behavior and track design from classical two-dimensional racing games with fully three-dimensional objects in the form of angular, slightly textured models. The final result presents itself quite curiously — it blends modernity with clear references to the classics. The game features a soundtrack created by Barry Leitch who composed music for the several aforementioned productions.

Another installment of the farming simulation game series from GIANTS software. Contrary to most of the major entries in the franchise, Farming Simulator 16 was created solely with the PS Vita handheld console and mobile devices in mind. In the game, we traditionally assume the role of farm owner, and our task is to turn his possessions into a true agricultural empire. Achieving this requires us to sow and harvest, and then invest the money we’ve earned into the farm’s development as well as new vehicles and devices. The title features over 50 fully licensed agricultural machines of various type that we can personally drive while working in the field. Compared to its predecessor, the game offers new sorts of crops, but the biggest novelty is the introduction of forests, along with a pretty big set of hardware for felling and processing trees.

A mobile strategy game by Gameloft, in which we lead one of three factions and try to forge a powerful empire. In its general premise, the title doesn’t significantly deviate from the standards of other common mobile MMO strategy productions. The player’s tasks include continuous development of infrastructure, researching new technologies, raising a powerful army, and conquering other players’ territory. In March of Empire, we can assume the role of a king, a tsar, or a sultan, and the choice has a quite big influence on our starting parameters and the further course of the game. Moreover, Gameloft’s title is characterized by a slightly more developed plot and gameplay depth that is influenced by such factors as seasons or weather conditions. The tactical layer is also more extensive — in battles, we can apply various formations, each having its pros and cons. The game features rich social options and the possibility of forming alliances.

A colorful, two-dimensional platformer game for mobile devices, created by Mobge Games - a Turkish developer. With its relaxed atmosphere, the game describes daily life and habits of Vikings. As a platformer game, Viking Mushroom offers twenty-five different levels filled with opportunities to jump and climb. The player encounters large numbers of traps, enemies and collectibles as well. The titular mushrooms are significant here, for they were eaten by Scandinavian warriors in order to acquire superhuman powers, according to the tradition. The game recreates such situations, for each of many kind of mushrooms available gives access to a set of useful abilities. The game offers colorful visuals, resembling the Rayman series in this aspect. What deserves special attention is the fact that both the plot and certain gameplay mechanics are rooted deeply in the tradition of Vikings and supported by research conducted on their culture.

A re-imagining of a 2D platform puzzle game for Wii and NDS, which is a remake of a classic hit originally published in 1989 for Famicom (NES). The game tells the story of a boy and his bizarre, jelly-like fella called Blobert. He needs to find a way to save his planet Blobolonia from an evil emperor, who imposes an unusual diet on his people - composed entirely of sweets. The two heroes set out on a dangerous journey with the purpose of finding the objects necessary to defeat the emperor while his minions try to stop them. The key to success in this classic platformer is to use Blobert’s special abilities, which can be developed by feeding him with a variety of colorful jellybeans. After aligning one, the titular bears appear in slots where the block were, unlocking more blocks and giving various bonuses in points. As the game progresses, bears become bigger and bigger, greatly increasing our score. The whole difficulty of Alphabear comes from the fact that letters stay on board for limited amount of rounds, and failing to remove each results in it turning into an immovable obstacle that blocks part of a board and prevents enlarging of said bears. There are several varied game modes, changing each day, and the title is distributed as free-to-play production. Alphabear stands out with its colorful and good visuals, something rather uncommon in puzzle games.

A turn-based strategy game for mobile devices, based on the popular TV series by AMC Network. The Walking Dead: No Man's Land takes us to a post-apocalyptic world overrun by the living dead, while the production’s plot is strictly connected to the TV series. Gameplay-wise, it is a classic turn-based strategy game. While playing, we command a small group of humans who fight hordes of hungry zombies. Given that we are outnumbered, the key to success lies in crowd control and avoiding confrontation with overly numerous groups. Between missions, we develop and manage our base. It is necessary to construct buildings, gather resources, issue commands to other survivors, and manage what little resources we have. The Walking Dead: No Man's Land doesn’t go easy on the player — every death is permanent and human losses are inevitable. This fact often forces us to make hard moral choices about who lives and who dies.

Magic: The Gathering – Puzzle Quest could not, of course, do without typical elements of a card game. Thus, we collect cards during the game that represent characters, spells, artifacts, etc. Then we use them to build our own deck, which is used during a duel allows us to achieve different effects and employ different combat strategies.

In Masochisia, the player explores the virtual environment, talks to NPCs, solves simple puzzles and makes different choices. The story is non-linear and the player is the one to decide which path is the protagonist going to take, and what will be the ending of this gloomy adventure. The game discusses subjects such as mental illness, depression, or both physical and psychological violence that children experience because of their parents' behavior. All of this is complemented by cartoonish, though grim-looking visuals, as well as a caricature-like art style.

A relaxing adventure game for mobile devices, created by Activision, based on a license of the popular British TV series Downton Abbey. The game takes place in the titular mansion, owned by an ancient and rich family. One day, the nobility, as well as the servants visit a nearby village to take part in a local ceremony. Somebody has robbed the mansion during their absence, with all the rooms missing various valuables. A unique mix of puzzle and arcade game with addition of roguelike’s features. It has been developed by the Canadian team at Illogika Studios. The game takes us to the titular submerged metropolis ruled by sentient machines. We play as a girl named Styx and her faithful companion Dron on their quest for revenge. Subaeria’s gameplay is based on exploration. We observe the 3D world from an isometric perspective, and since the heroine can’t use weapons, she must try to manipulate hostile robots (known as The Cleaners) to make them fight each other. This is where the little drone comes into play, as it can be used to control the robotic adversaries. The gameplay is complemented by good-looking 3D visuals.

An unusual logic game developed by a Polish studio Paplus International. The developers were inspired by the popular Monument Valley. The plot of Ghost of Memories tells the story of a lone adventurer who acquires an ancient scepter during one of his travels. The artifact speaks with the voice of a woman trapped inside the scepter’s head. She offers to unlock the powers dormant in the item if the hero decides to free her. Thanks to its power, the traveler can manipulate reality and create inter-dimensional portals, which help him face encountered difficulties and various traps. During the game, we observe the situation from an isometric view, while the player focuses on solving environmental riddles that involve various mechanisms and physical phenomenon, such as optical illusions. The developers prepared a relatively small selection of levels (15 available); however the level of detail and advancement of the encountered puzzles should outweigh even this downside.

An online FPP/TPP shooter from set in the survival horror universe of the Resident Evil franchise, developed by Capcom. Game mechanic combines the elements of the rather coldly received Operation Racoon City and popular online shooters like Counter-Strike. The gameplay revolves around fast and eye-catching skirmishes with teams of armed mercenaries representing powerful corporations competing on the field biological weapon development. The matches take place at relatively small maps, based on most iconic locations featured in Resident Evil games. Our arsenal is composed of a wide variety of standard and non-conventional weapons, both for melee and ranged combat. There are also zombies in Umbrella Corps, controlled by artificial intelligence. Interestingly, they are more than a simple decoration as they can be used to our advantage during fights.

Action, 2.5D, Indie Games, Platformers, Action Adventure, Science Fiction, Singleplayer.
A retro-futuristic platformer game by Cococucumber, an independent Canadian studio. In Planet of the Eyes, we assume the role of a robot who crash-lands on a completely alien planet after the malfunction of an interstellar shuttle. Trying to find a way out of the situation, the protagonist explores the beautiful but also incredibly dangerous place where a myriad of logic puzzles and complicated traps await him. Mechanics-wise, the game somewhat resembles the cult Limbo. While playing, we move mostly to the right and face challenges created by the developers. Sooner or later we will witness various variants of the hero’s death, but the production was designed is a way that doesn’t frustrate players and can be completed in 2-5 hours (depending on our skills).

A huge (approximately up to for 200 hours of gameplay) DLC expansion for The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth from Nicalis studio. It isn’t standalone title, requiring the base game to play. Afterbirth introduces many novelties, including a new final area with a unique boss and ending. However, it doesn’t change the game mechanics, as we once again play a roguelike arcade title, exploring randomly generated locations, discovering secrets and fighting enemies. The gameplay is diversified with additional content in the form of new character, Lilith, new monsters and bosses, as well as previously unavailable items, challenges and locations. What's more, the DLC also modified the interface and expanded the soundtrack. Lastly, players received a new game mode called Greed Mode, in which they take great risks to obtain unique rewards.

Adventure, A Fairy Tale, Indie Games, Singleplayer.
An adventure game from Eda Keya and Twisted Tree Games studio, taking by the handful from Russian fairy tales and legends. Forest of Sleep tells a story of three children on a journey through a land filled with magical creatures. Our heroes must traverse enchanted forests, visit bizarre kingdoms, fulfill unusual requests from NPCs and sing many songs during campfire nights. There are no arcade elements in the game, so we mainly explore and solve puzzles, while our interactions with NPCs and items play a major role, dynamically shaping the story. What makes Forest of Sleep stand out the most, though, is the lack of typical narration and dialogues, as well as its unique visuals that are reminiscent of children's books.
