You assume the role of a boy who is trying to escape a mysterious island that conceals a sinister past. During the course of the game you will solve numerous puzzles, using a magical artifact that allows you to manipulate the environment and time. The title, despite being an action game also includes many platformer elements.

The film's prototype was created by the famous Luc Besson, the director of a memorable work called The Fifth Element, based on his children's book.

Rayman 2: The Great Escape is a continuation of Michelangel's 1995 console platformer. This time the title character has to deal with mechanical pirates who have mastered the peaceful Land of Dreams. The player's task is to help Rayman regain his lost power and free his friends from the invaders' hands. The game was produced by Ubisoft and uses a 3D graphic engine.

In order to steer his actions, players visit randomly generated undergrounds full of treasure as well as fancy traps and dangerous enemies. The HD edition has been enriched with new, previously unavailable elements.

Players have the opportunity to test their driving skills on two wheels overcoming dozens of two-dimensional obstacle courses. The creators took care of simple mini-games enriching the game and a functional multiplayer mode for up to four participants.
