CryZone: Sector 23 is a development of ideas from the popular Crysis game modification. The plot of the main campaign takes the player to a closed zone contaminated with radioactivity. Disregarding the dangers, the main character searches for a way to bring his son back to life in this place.

The story starts three years after the events of the first game, in which the world witnessed the invasion of monstrous beats, halted only by the titular God Eaters.
