A turn-based 4X strategy game set in ancient China and developed by Ntronium Games. Oriental Empires focuses on faithfully recreating historical events concerning the Chinese empire - the game encompasses a period of three thousand years between 1500 B.C and 1500 A.D. The player becomes a leader of a small tribe and their goal is to build up a powerful empire. To do so, they have to cultivate land, gather resources, build new towns, as well as recruit and train the army. It is also necessary to establish laws, conduct research on technologies or satisfy their subordinates in terms of their religious needs. The player's ultimate task however, is to convince the Chinese society that the player-controlled emperor is the actual Son of Heavens and the rightful ruler of the world. Because the player is not the only one willing to become the emperor, it is necessary to subjugate hostile parties first. This can be achieved either by diplomacy or great battles involving thousands of units.

The players assume control over United States’ 1st Infantry Division, also known as “The Big Red One” during its WWII tour of duty, including Northern Africa, Sicily, and D-Day landings. The game takes place in real time, with the player receiving control over numerous types of units such as infantry, artillery, armored units, or engineering battalions. Our units can amass experience and be refitted with new types of weaponry, which makes them more viable and useful on the battlefield. The developers have not introduced any major changes to the mechanics, keeping the classic top-down view and gameplay seen in other installments of the series. Nevertheless, the players are left with more freedom as to the choice of the location and method of approaching the enemy, while our actions are influenced by weather conditions, type of terrain, or well-being and morale of our units. It should be mentioned that Close Combat: The Bloody First is the first installment of the series that uses a 3D graphical engine, which also offers more detailed models and animations of the individual units.

A several-hours long story DLC included in the Season Pass to the action game Batman: Arkham Origins released in 2013. Just like the original game, the expansion was developed by WB Games Montreal. The story of Cold, Cold Heart features Batman’s trying to stop Mr. Freeze — one of the super villains from the original comic books — whose actions threaten lives of guests at the New Year’s Eve "Humanitarian of the Year" gala. In terms of gameplay, Cold, Cold Heart copies the mechanics used in Batman: Arkham Origins, therefore we get to freely traverse open locations, solve environmental puzzles, sneak into guarded rooms, and fight powerful opponents using high-tech gadgets. A novelty introduced in the expansion is the new version of Batman’s suit that enables the hero to operate under extremely low temperatures. In order to enjoy the contents of Cold, Cold Heart you have to have the original game installed. As for the graphics, DLC uses the same technology as Batman: Arkham Origin, that is Unreal Engine 3.

An action-platform game developed by independent Swedish studio Image & Form. The game takes place in an unusual universe that combines the traits of steampunk and Wild West settings. Once human civilization had fallen and the Homo sapiens was reduced to cave-dwelling troglodytes, weird creatures that are mostly robots became the new dominant species. One of them is the main protagonist of the game, Rusty. While looking for remains of human civilization, he starts a journey deep into the ground, where he looks for interesting treasures. During the game the player is traveling through caves, avoiding traps, fighting enemies, collecting minerals and making sure to always have access to light. The protagonist can use various useful tools that enable him to decide in which direction should the tunnel be dug. After filling the backpack we return to the surface and trade the minerals we've found for various goods and upgrades for the protagonist.

A classic jRPG created by Japanese studio Compile Heart as an enhanced and expanded version of Fairy Fencer F – a game released in 2013 on PlayStation 3. The game is set in a world that once was the arena of conflict between two mighty deities. The weapons they forged are called furies, and the people wielding them are known as fencers. The game’s main hero is a fencer named Fang, who encounters another representative of his profession – Tiara, a person obsessed with collecting all the furies she possibly can. Gameplay combines typical jRPGs elements with visual novel narrative and an elaborate combat system, in which characters move around battlefields freely, but take commands in turns. When compared with the original version of the game, Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force was expanded by the addition of two alternative story chapters, letting you see a brand new ending. Changes also include some elements of gameplay and combat system.

The second expansion to Age of Empires II: HD Edition from 2013. Unlike the first DLC, which was a commercial remake of a fan-made modification to the original Age of Empires II, The African Kingdoms was built from ground up entirely by the developers of the original game, Hidden Path Entertainment. The expansion takes us once more to the Middle Ages, however, this time we travel to a completely different region of the world – the African continent. There, you take command of such nations as the Berbers, Malians, and Ethiopians, as well as the Portuguese. Each nation has its unique architecture, technology, and units (e.g. camel archers). In terms of gameplay mechanics, the DLC introduces an innovation - varied surfaces. Your choice to construct buildings on rock, sand, or other terrain will now affect the construction's stability.
