The game was developed by Double Damage Games, a studio that hires co-creators of such titles as Torchlight, FATE, and the first two Diablo games. Gameplay is focuses around galactic exploration. Depending on your preferences, you can pick up a career of a merchant, mercenary, smuggler, soldier, or even combine these professions to increase your income.

In Unexplored 2: The Wayfarer's Legacy, we enter a procedurally generated land and try to destroy mysterious Staff of Yendor on our way through a variety of adventures. The characteristic feature of the game is the ability to return to the already visited version of the world in the skin of a new hero, which brings with it both numerous advantages and disadvantages.

The player assumes the role of a warrior, who, along with a party, decides to explore a mysterious tower that may hold a key to stopping the apocalypse. Gameplay mechanics in Tower of Time mostly rely on exploration of the game world, completing missions, fighting foes, and developing your heroes. Characters represent different classes and have a variety of attacks and special skills at their disposal.

The player enters a fantasy universe, known from the previous games from the studio, connecting Roman Empire stylistics with post-apocalyptic fantasy. In this installment, we assume the role of a prisoner sentenced to spend the rest of his life as a slave in an enormous mine. His only hope is fighting his way back to the surface.
