In most cases we are playing as a character who has to defeat some enemies and reach a specific point. We can use a wide range of weapons, including pistols, rocket launchers, swords, knives and like. Action-adventure is a particular category within action games genre. In The Riftbreaker we find ourselves on an alien planet Galatea, and in order to prepare it for colonization, we have to build a resilient base on it and regularly repel the attacks of its inhabiting, aggressive creatures.

The producer of the title is the Japanese studio Grasshooper Manufacture and its founder Goichi Suda, better known under the pseudonym Suda51.
