Star Wars: Battlefront - Rogue One: X-Wing VR Mission

A free expansion for Star Wars: Battlefront, available only on PS4 with PlayStation VR. In contrast to the basic version of the game, X-Wing VR Mission is not a shooter in which the player controls various characters. Instead, the DLC the player takes control of the titular starfighter and participates in a large-scale space battle. A space destroyer, among other spacecrafts, also participates in the battle. The player must not only control the vehicle, but shoot various opponents as well. Thanks to the VR technology, the player can feel like a real X-Wing pilot. The action is shown from a first-person perspective and during the game the player can freely look around the cockpit that was recreated with details and precision.

Hustle Kings VR

A special version of Hustle Kings, a pool game developed by XDex Studio Europe. It utilizes the PlayStation VR virtual reality headsets. The title is a realistic pool simulation in which we can play in several varied kinds of this game such as snooker, killer, blackball, or the American eight. Although these variations are all different in terms of rules, the gameplay always involves pushing balls into pockets, and the VR technology takes it to a whole another level, making the experience feel like an actual game of pool. The production offers a multiplayer mode that lets players compete and take part in online world leagues and tournaments. Moreover, the developers prepared a number of interesting things like unusual tables and pool “puzzles” that are solved in the special mode called Puzzle Challenge.
Quar: Battle for Gate 18

A turn-based strategy game which supports VR goggles. It was created by Steel Wool Games - a developer popular for Flyhunter Origins. Quar: Battle for Gate 18 is set in a fantasy world inhabited by a civilization of humanoid creatures known as Quar. Alykinder's crusade offers chances to end an 700-year long internal conflict over leadership - the crusaders aim to conquer all the lands belonging to Quar. The story campaign comprises of numerous, varied missions that culminate in the titular Battle for Gate 18. Between subsequent levels, the player returns to the base in order to cater for the soldiers and take care of technological development. Although the game is played from an isometric view, switching to the first-person perspective is possible when the player wants to walk around the buildings and among their subordinates. The game offers eighteen types of units, including infantry equipped with rifles, cavalry or armored vehicles for example. In terms of the art style, the game's setting references World War I.

A spin-off of Final Fantasy XV, released in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, utilizing the PlayStation VR gear. The production was developed by Square Enix. Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV resembles a fishing simulation game, in which the characters known from the standalone installment — Noctis Lucis Caelum, Gladiolus Amicitia, Ignis Stupeo Scientia and Prompto Argentum — roam the world in search of the eponymous beast. The gameplay focuses on fishing, which means you have to use bait and fight with the fish trying to break the line. You can also scan the lakes with a special device, which allows you to detect noteworthy creatures. After a successful hunt, you can rest by the fire and eat some fresh fried fish, while listening to the NPC talk.

Carnival Games VR

Another installment of the Carnival Games series, developed by Cat Daddy Games studio with virtual reality sets in mind. Similarly to the previous installments, we are once again left with a set of fifteen arcade mini-games, mostly focusing on throwing various items and shooting moving targets, but we can also find a somewhat simplified basketball or wall climbing among the available modes. Aside from taking part in subsequent games, in Carnival Games VR we can freely traverse an open location introduced in the game. The flames of rivalry are further stoked by the addition of online ranking list, in which we fight for the best results against players from all around the world.
Apollo 11 VR

A game that recreates the first human spaceflight to the Moon using virtual reality. Apollo 11 VR shows the events preceding the historic journey, such as: launch of the Apollo 11 spaceship using a Saturn V rocket, the flight to the Earth’s natural satellite, or the landing and the first walk on its surface. The title is described as a new kind of documentary film, featuring only uncomplicated mechanics that fit more to virtual reality than a fully-fledged video game. The events are seen from a first-person perspective, and the players have the full freedom to look around their surroundings. The camera switches to TPP mode only during combat. During the takeoff and landing, we can operate on-board equipment (however, the procedures has been simplified). While on the Moon, we can take a walk, and conduct simple research. Apollo 11 VR takes place in a detailed 3D environment, with a climatic soundtrack and authentic conversations accompanying the gameplay.
Fated: The Silent Oath

An episodic action adventure game by Frima, set in the mythical world of the Vikings. The title was designed with VR headsets in mind. Fated: The Silent Oath was developed by a former writer for the Assassin’s Creed series and focuses on a certain family that faces Ragnarok, which is the Nordic counterpart of the end of days. We assume the role of the father who tries to protect his loved ones from the wrath of gods. The action is shown from the first-person perspective. While playing, we engage in activities that are typical of the genre, such as exploration, having conversations, and solving puzzles. There are some arcade sequences, as well. At the same time, the title is full of emotions, putting a great emphasis on such emotions as bravery, love, sacrifice, compassion, despair, or joy.

A simple adventure game by Bandai Namco Entertainment, developed for PlayStation VR, at first as a technology demo. In Summer Lesson you play as a teacher, who's tutoring two independent heroines. One of them is a Japanese high-schooler who needs help with her English. The other one is an American exchange student, who came to Japan and wants to learn Japanese. You meet her at the porch of a country house. The gameplay is very simple, and you interact with the virtual environment by making gestures. From time to time, the students ask you questions, which you can answer by nodding or shaking your head. Sometimes you also choose an answer by looking at one of the icons floating in mid-air.

Hyper Void is an arcade shoot’em up game inspired by the classics like Gradius, Salamander, Nemesis, Xeon 2: Megablast and Tempest. The game was developed by two brothers from the independent studio IN|Framez and is their first big production. We play as a spaceship pilot who travels through subspace tunnels. Our ship, which constantly moves forward, is presented from a third-person perspective. Controls are limited to steering right or left as we face numerous enemies. HyperVoid offers 29 playable levels, half of which ends with difficult boss fights. Our enemies’ formations, and the overall design of levels, are generated procedurally, making each playthrough a unique and challenging experience.
World War Toons
A co-op-oriented cartoonish FPS game, set during World War II, developed by Reload Games, a studio founded by former members of Infinity Ward. World War Toons does not feature a single player campaign, instead focusing on online battles between two player teams, representing the Allies and the Axis Powers. The gameplay is similar to many other online FPS games, although there's an emphasis on controlling tanks. There are several character classes available, each using different weapons, but your choice is not binding and you can change your class when you find the right weapon on the battlefield. Despite the WW2 setting, the game is not quite historically accurate and features a large dose of humor. The high-quality visuals have been created utilizing the Unreal Engine 4.

A first-person action-adventure game created by nDreams (a British developer), specifically for VR sets. The game is set in a secret research laboratory located somewhere in the deserts of Nevada. Here, far away from civilization, incredible government experiments are conducted by the titular organization that gathers scientists who tend to choose progress over ethics. However, when the scientists lose control of a deadly virus, the future of the Assembly becomes problematic. The player assumes the roles of two independent characters having their own rules and motivations. The choices those two make can influence their not only their own lives, but also the fate of the entire humanity. In terms of mechanics, the game is played from first-person view, which is typical for VR titles. For the most part, the player explores the virtual environment, solves puzzles, and makes moral choices shaping the further course of the story.

An interactive concert developed for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR. The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls: Viewing Revolution is a spin-off of the popular Japanese series The Idolmaster, and features the characters known from the previous installments and the anime series. The performances take place on a large stage in a concert hall full of people. There are many spots from which you can view the concert, including the perspective of an ordinary spectator standing by the stage. By using PlayStation Move controllers, you can also wave colorful flares to the rhythm of music. Before the concert starts, you can also choose the songs to be performed and the number of performers. The core edition of The Idolmaster Cinderella Girls: Viewing Revolution features three songs, each several-minutes-long, while six more can be unlocked by buying DLC packs.

A tower-defense strategy game with arcade elements developed exclusively for PlayStation VR. The player assumes the role of the steward protecting a stronghold controlled by either Vikings or Knights. The main objective is to keep the stronghold safe and eliminate the enemy forces, or to besiege the enemy to either take or destroy their castle. The main weapon that one gets at his disposal are the ballistae placed on a high tower, which can be loaded with various types of ammunition – apart from standard arrows, there are apples, flails, grenades, guided eagles, and flying sheep. One can lead to battle diverse units that vary in terms of their speed, strength, and special abilities. Both the type and the strength of the available army depends on the castle’s level of development. Each map delivers several primary and optional objectives that provide a player with additional rewards. CastleStorm VR delivers a multiplayer experience comprising both competitive and cooperative modes – the latter one allows up to two players to fight off endless attack waves, for as long as possible.
A 2.5D platformer in which players play Spectra - a young girl trying to stop an ominous force threatening the existence of the whole world. As we play, we travel through different locations, jump over platforms and fight enemies, making use of the unique abilities of the protagonist, who is able to take control of the environment. The title was created with the goggles of virtual reality in mind, and is characterized by eye-catching graphics maintained in cartoon style.
Reborn: A Samurai Awakens

Developed by Geronimo Interactive, Reborn: A Samurai Awakens is set in the year 2480, when the Earth falls victim to an attack from outer space. Yukimura Sanada, the game's protagonist, is a famous samurai resurrected as a cyborg whose job is to face and defeat the enemy. Reborn: A Samurai Awakens is a first-person action game requiring the player to eliminate hordes of robots (among them, bigger and more durable bosses), making use of a diverse weaponry. Apart from laser katana blades which can slice the opponents into pieces and repel enemy missiles, the player uses pistols and psionic powers. One is capable of using any two weapons simultaneously in combat. Success is achieved here through juggling the available weapons skilfully and performing effective counterattacks, which can stun the enemy. The game features both regular skirmishes and spectacular scenes in the form of Quick Time Events. All of this is complemented by decent graphics, especially with regard to the standards of VR games.
Legion Commander is an RTS game with a fantasy setting, in which the player can take control over one of the three available armies: orcs, elves and men. The production has been designed with the PlayStation VR googles in mind.

The Playroom VR

A casual action game developed by Japanese division of Sony Computer Entertainment for virtual reality sets PlayStation VR. The gameplay is focused mostly on co-op modes for varying number of players and is in fact a combination of several minigames. In one of them the player with the VR helmet assumes the role of a giant creature that chases other participants who control their characters with gamepads. The monster is very strong and can destroy buildings, but defeating him is possible if the other players cooperate. Other minigames enable, for example, playing as cat and mice or capturing ghosts. Similarly as most games that use virtual reality, The Playroom VR doesn’t impress with its graphics, using simple cartoonish visuals. However, the game offers a new playing method and interesting gameplay experience.
Another unusual simulation game and the debut production by indie studio Sunken Places, developed for VR headgear. In Classroom Aquatic you play as a diver, who is also an exchange student in an underwater dolphin school. As everybody knows, dolphins are highly intelligent, so tests are not much of a problem for them. Not so for you, so in order not to make a fool of yourself, you have to sneakily glance at you classmates' tests and copy the right answers. You also have to be careful not to get noticed by either the teacher or the other students, who may expose you. The game utilizes a first-person perspective and features humorous cartoonish visuals.
