Another installment in the annually released farming simulator series developed by GIANTS Software. This time, however, the creators decided to develop a game exclusively for handheld devices like PS Vita or Nintendo 3DS. In terms of mechanics, Farming Simulator 18 highly resembles the previous installments, especially the handheld version of Farming Simulator 16. The game sees the players running their farms in an attempt to make a profitable business out of it. To achieve this, the players have to take care of a number of things, such as soil and plant cultivation, harvesting and selling the crops, and finally the successive development of the farm. Farming Simulator 18 does not lack the series’ representative feature, namely a wide range of licensed agricultural machinery of the world’s top makers, which are available for the players to utilize while working in the field.

A spin-off to the bestselling Grand Theft Auto series, at first developed for Nintendo DS and PlayStation Portable handhelds and later converted to mobile devices as well. The story takes place in Liberty City, a place well known to the fans of the series. As Huang Lee, member of a Chinese criminal group, the player is trying to prove his worth, avenge the death of his father, and reclaim a valuable sword that for centuries was the symbol of his family’s power. The gameplay mechanics are similar to previous installments in the series, except for the missions being slightly shorter and the fact that the player can repeat failed actions. Other important changes include an auto-aim system, simplified driving mechanics, and the necessity of destroying police cars. A new interface and various mini-games were added to the game as well. The graphics of the game utilize cel-shading technology, combining the classic top-down view and isometric perspective.

An online shooter which is a debut project of the Latvian studio Darkflow Software, created in cooperation with Gaijin Entertainment, the studio responsible for War Thunder. Enlisted takes place during World War II. The initial phase of the project is marked by two extensive campaigns released separately: Operation Typhoon (Battle of Moscow), and Operation Overlord (Battle for Normandy), while the next campaigns are in development. The game is a multiplayer-only title, but attempts to create interesting combat objectives, more in the vein of single player games, for groups of players. For example, we are tasked with a swift relocation to strategic positions, or to secure an area before the reinforcements arrive. The game is seen from a first person perspective, but a TPP mode is also available. Enlisted employs the Dagor Engine, used previously in War Thunder. The engine is able to generate large maps with destructible environments, and supports up to 100 players during a single match.

A sequel to a first-person action game, which in turn was a remake of a popular FPS from 1997. Polish developer Flying Wild Hog comes back with a continuation set five years after the events of the first game. In Shadow Warrior 2 you play as Lo Wang, who now leads a lonely life of a mercenary working for the local Yakuza. Gameplay mechanics did not change much, so the protagonist takes down on his enemies using a wide arsenal of firearms and melee weapons. The sequel retains the progression system featured in the first game as well as weapon customization. What is new, is the four-people co-op mode, in which a group of players fights off enemies while trying to complete mission objectives. In both single player campaign and co-op mode the locations are procedurally generated, which makes each playthrough unique.

Another spin-off to the legendary series of sandbox action games, developed by Rockstar Games for the PlayStation Portable console. As the title of the game suggests, its action is related to GTA: Vice City. The title takes place in 1984, two years before the events shown in the other game. The main protagonist is Victor Vance – an ex-soldier who currently works for various gangsters. By completing various jobs given to him by mafia bosses he slowly rises through the ranks of the criminal underworld. The gameplay isn’t very different from other installments of the series. However the developers added many new features such as the ability to swim, fly a helicopter or enter buildings. This made the game mechanics even more similar to the mechanics of full-fledged installments in the series. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories offers a large number of weapons and gadgets as well as a varied soundtrack that accompanies the player while driving cars.

They are divided into several different classes and can be upgraded and modified. Anthem focuses more on co-op than on single player and uses the popular Frostbite engine.

The game takes us back to the universe known from the previous game, where technology and magic coexist, and rivaling factions fight over water supplies. The player becomes a young technomancer – a representative of the cast of genetically modified warriors, who guard the ancient knowledge of their forefathers. His task is to find some precious artifacts from the Earth. You can join one of 6 playable factions, each possessing their own strengths and weaknesses that have significant influence on the way you play them. Gameplay mechanics are not much different from the ones used in Mars: War Logs. The main difference is that The Technomancer offers more complex story missions with lots of secondary plots.

The follow-up to a hit action game from 2012. Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is a production of an independent studio Dennaton Games, the developer duo of Jonathan “Cactus” Söderström and Dennis Wedin. The player controls a bandit, who, provided there is a payoff, undertakes a number of risky jobs. Depending on the mission conditions, the hero can be either forced to avoid a direct confrontation, or brutally eliminate all enemies. The latter task will be achieved with weapons, and various elements of the environment. Similarly to the predecessor, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is marked by a simple retro 2D graphics. Due to the large dose of violence, the game is intended only for adult players.

War Thunder stands out from its competitors thanks to its high-quality visuals and realistic flight physics.

The objective of the game is to work for the Leone mafia family, increase its influences and build up Tony’s reputation in the criminal underworld. The gameplay of GTA: Liberty City Stories employs the well-received mechanics of the series and offers an open world filled with story missions and side activities alike. As always in the series, there are many vehicles (including motorcycles, motorboats, trains and ferries) and weapons to use. However, due to the limitations of the PSP console, some things were slightly simplified.

In comparison to the first Killzone, the number of available weapon types is larger and new vehicles were added.

Their new game retains similar artwork style and equally unique atmosphere. You play as a young boy trying to escape the guards pursuing him. However, it is not him, but a giant, griffin-like creature named Trico, who is the central character in this story. The little protagonist is able to climb, jump, and squeeze through holes between rocks, but in some cases he needs help from the griffin, who can remove larger obstacles or carry the boy into seemingly inaccessible places. The authors put much emphasis on the character's interactions with Trico and the creature’s artificial intelligence, as he has his own individual character and reacts differently depending on the situation.

A dynamic action game developed by French studio The Game Bakers. The title has a combat system based on Japanese hack-and-slash games. Furi takes place in an original fantasy realm and the player assumes the role of a warrior who tries to escape from a gigantic prison. Many guards are standing on his way and he must defeat them in order to obtain the keys to his freedom. The gameplay is focused on combat with the use of melee weapons and guns. The duel system is action-focused, offering a large number of varied attacks and the possibility to combine them into combos. What’s interesting, in the game the player doesn't have to fight many opponents at once. All fights are 1 on 1 encounters. Child of Light is a 2D RPG that combines the elements of modern platformers and Japanese role-playing games. It was developed by Ubisoft Montreal, a subsidiary of Ubisoft which also collaborated in the development of Far Cry and Assassin Creed games. Child of Light tells the story of Aurora, a young girl who has to save the kingdom of Lemuria. When playing, we influence Aurora's development and witness her rough journey to adulthood. The game is presented in a perspective typical for platform games, and the turn-based combat system is inspired by the jRPG genre. During her adventures, Aurora explores a vast, living world, where she encounters friendly fairies, gnomes, and sneaky monsters. Child of Light offers single player and multiplayer modes. In the latter, the second player takes on the role of a friendly firefly.

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls is the first expansion pack for the best-selling action RPG game, Diablo III. The add-on created by the Blizzard Entertainment’s development team has added a fifth act to the main campaign, in which Malthael, the Angel of Death, is determined to put an end to the war between celestial beings and demons; the Black Stone binding Diablo’s soul is supposed to help him achieve this goal. The expansion also introduces a new playable character – Crusader – and raises the limit of character’s experience level to 70. In addition, the creators decided to modify the loot system; now we find it less often, but it is more valuable and better suited to a particular hero. Some changes have also been introduced to the visuals, making them much darker than in the original version of the game.
