EverQuest II is a follow-up to an immensely popular MMORPG, released five years after the original. It was developed by Daybreak Game Company, a studio which created the whole franchise. The game is set in the land of Norrath, perfectly known to all the fans, which was enhanced with many new locations. The list of changes also includes the character creator: before the beginning of the game, the players can select the race, looks, and gender of their avatar – the statistics and specialization of the character are determined later on in the game. EverQuest II also introduces new means of transportation (you can travel both on horseback and aboard a boat), as well as new events (such as gladiator duels), and the whole gameplay premise has been altered in many aspects; for example, experience can now be gained by peaceful conduct as well – for instance by developing craftsmanship, trading skills, magic abilities, or elements of the inventory. If compared with the prequel, Ever Quest II can boast substantially better graphics, spearheaded by high-resolution textures, complex weather effects, and rich animations.

The game lets you join a team and either complete story-related missions together or compete against others in one of PvP modes. A great deal of vast locations – both well-known to the Star Wars fans as well as brand new ones – await to be explored.

The game is set in a fantasy realm, whose people managed to avoid an invasion of evil thanks to the titular Ark. After years of peace, the leader of demonic legions, Kazeroth, tries to use the artifact to take over the world. The players have to find it and prevent the imminent disaster. The game employs isometric camera in gameplay, resembling such classic hits as Diablo or Torchlight. There are 18 character classes, each representing an original take on classic RPG archetypes. In the game you get to explore (both lands and seas), collect resources and treasures, and fight against mighty bosses, as well as other players in the PvP mode. Lost Ark features high quality graphics powered by Unreal Engine 3.

Gameplay isn’t much different from what we can see in other games from the genre, though we can get our own land to build a house and take one of the many available jobs. One noteworthy feature is a vast and varied world, which is shaped by players’ actions alongside the plot.

Similarly to its 2005 predecessor, players start their journey in Guild Wars 2 by creating a hero, choosing from 5 playable races and 8 classes. The gameplay has been designed mainly with small character parties in mind, making it easier to earn experience and precious loot. The game stands out with its high quality visuals and atmospheric soundtrack composed by Jeremy Soule.

The action of EVE Online takes place in a universe called New Eden, which consists of over 5,000 star systems. On the beginning of the adventure you create your own hero by choosing his/her e.g. face, past, and origin. At first you get just a small spaceship and some credits. Your mission is to explore remote places of the universe in order to complete various story missions given by NPCs. These independent characters represent a broad spectrum of factions in which you gradually build up your position. With progress, you successively develop your avatar by acquiring new skills. The game also features ship customization. You can also upgrade vessels with new modules that influence performance, weaponry, and armor. There is no idleness in space, as creators constantly add new missions and challenges.

Contrary to the previous expansions, Warlords of Draenor does not introduce new races, focusing instead on a completely new land called Draenor and offering dozens of new quests, monsters and bosses. When exploring Draenor, which is divided into seven zones, the player visits mainly dried wastelands, forests filled with wildlife, frozen highlands and new dungeons. Significantly, the expansion introduces strategy elements allowing the players to build and manage their own fortresses. Within the place, the players can construct various buildings, such as inns, armories or stables. What's more, the players can also establish trading routes and hire henchmen willing to obtain weapons, treasures and materials for them. Additionally, the level cap was raised to 100. Both in terms of the mechanics and visuals, Warlords of Draenor represents the next stage in the evolution of the popular MMO game.

Its economic and political structures are shaped by the players themselves. What makes TERA shine among other MMORPGs is the game's combat system. Effects of our attacks are based on our relative position against the enemy, which makes TERA more like an arcade game in terms of combat. That is why it is advisable to use a gamepad when playing.

The plot picks up where it was left off in the previous add-on: after having escaped from Draenor, the Orc shaman Gul’dan found refuge on the Broken Isles, eventually opening the portal hidden in the Tomb of Sargeras and releasing the demon horde. Faced with another invasion of the Burning Legion, the already weakened Azeroth needs to rely on the players for help. Their task will be to stop Gul’dan before the forces of evil can triumph. The most crucial novelties introduced in the expansion are: the Order Hall, unique to your character class, where you gather an army of NPC followers, as well as artifacts, which come as rewards for completing a series of dangerous missions. Additionally, the game introduces some changes to the progression system (introduction of ranks), along with raising experience level cap to 110. Of course there are also new dungeons and raids.

Your character is thrown in the middle of that conflict. Although the hero will belong to one of four archetypes, the character progression offers a large degree of freedom (no classes or professions). As you play, you get to explore the vast world, tale part in various missions, and fight opponents with a wide arsenal of weapons characteristic for the period. Much emphasis was put on the complex economy, crafting system with 10 specializations, and social features, e.g. creating player guilds.

In accordance with the typical MMORPG formula, the game lets you pick a character class and develop the hero’s attributes as you gain experience. The developers provided a variety of missions and a dynamic combat system. The game’s high-quality visuals are powered by Unreal Engine 3.

A fantasy action RPG enriched with a number of MMO elements. In the game, we assume the role of the last defenders of Aelkein - unique heroes that fight a bloody battle to save their world from a fallen god. The game takes place in an open world divided into various lands, where we undertake the main story quests, as well as some cooperative ones (for example: boss raids). There are four character classes at the players’ disposal, each having unique equipment and skills that belong to three different skills trees. Additionally, Devilian offers a quite powerful crafting system, the ability to use animals as mounts, and a number of other, typical MMO features, such as forming guilds and alliances or trading with other players.
