Several years after the events of WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne, Azeroth is still being shaken by the conflict between the new two opposing factions. The Alliance assembles Men, Dwarves, Night Elves, and Gnomes. On the other side of conflict there is the Horde, consisting of Orcs, Taurens, Undead, and Trolls.

The game is set in a fantasy realm, whose people managed to avoid an invasion of evil thanks to the titular Ark. After years of peace, the leader of demonic legions, Kazeroth, tries to use the artifact to take over the world. The players have to find it and prevent the imminent disaster. The game employs isometric camera in gameplay, resembling such classic hits as Diablo or Torchlight.

On the beginning of the adventure you create your own hero by choosing his/her e.g. face, past, and origin. At first you get just a small spaceship and some credits. Your mission is to explore remote places of the universe in order to complete various story missions given by NPCs.
