They Are Billions: Steel Fortress

The Steel Fortress is another tactical mission in They Are Billions, during which you will control the hero selected at the beginning of the campaign. Unlike The Prison mission, there will not be anyone to save here - you will be alone throughout the whole mission. How to unlock and goals

How to unlock: unlocked after completing the Valley of Death mission

Mission objective:

1. Get the object of the mission: Mission artifact.
2. The hero must get out of the fortress alive.
3. (optional) Get valuable items for the Empire (scores: 330).
4. (optional) Get ancient technology (scores: 600).

Note - as part of tactical missions, additional items to collect are scattered randomly at the start of the mission. For this reason, this section does not contain information about their location - because it is just random.

The mission

You will encounter runners at the very beginning of the mission - so be careful.

1. At the beginning of the mission, there will be available only a narrow path leading to the fortress. But be careful, because you will encounter dozens of enemies here, some of which are runners.
2. Once you enter the room, collect grenades from two boxes.
3. In this room there is the entire horde of enemies. Their elimination can be simplified with the help of explosive barrels-there are a dozen or so of those here, and after a shot at them barrels explode, killing all nearby enemies.

You can reach the mission artifact very quickly.

1. The mission artifact is located in a small room in the western corner of the fortress - the path to it is short, but it is blocked by numerous enemies. Use explosive barrels and grenades to eliminate them effectively.
2. After all, collect the mission artifact and go back - usually you need to return to the place of the start of the mission. If you want to gain extra Empire or Science points, you should explore the map in more detail - and explosive crates will make eliminating enemies far easier.

Tips

Use numerous barrels to effectively eliminate enemies.

And now a few tips that will facilitate the completion of the Steel Fortress mission, namely:

1. Use explosive barrels to save grenades for locations where you won't find the former. There are a lot of enemies to be eliminated here, thus consider saving grenades.
2. When planning to eliminate enemies with a barrel, it is worth drawing them towards the barrels - thus, one barrel is able to eliminate even 30 infected at the same time!
3. This is one of the missions that can be completed in just a minute or two. Just maneuver, respectively, around the sandbags located everywhere here (that slow enemies down), open the door with the artifact, drag the enemies guarding it out, and then collect the artifact and quickly get away. If you don't care about additional points, the Steel Fortress mission can be completed very quickly.
