They Are Billions: The Foundry

The Foundry is another tactical mission in They are Billions, during which you will control a special hero, selected at the beginning of the game. In this chapter, you will find a walkthrough and tips related to The Foundry mission.

How to unlock and goals

How to unlock: unlocked after The Lowlands mission

Mission objective:

1. Get the object of the mission: Mission artifact.
2. The hero must get out of the fortress alive.
3. (optional) Get valuable items for the Empire (points: 190).
4. (optional) Get ancient technology (points: 400).

Note - as part of tactical missions, additional items to collect are scattered randomly at the start of the mission. For this reason, this section does not contain information about their location - because it is just random.

The mission

Immediately after entering the Foundry, it is necessary to go to the room on the left - there you will find Grenades.

1. Once the mission begins, run to the Foundry - there is no side mission available from the beginning. Remember from now on to look for items to collect - they will be highlighted every few seconds, so it is easy to notice them.
2. After entering the building go left - in the room there, you will find a crate with Grenades. These will be useful in getting rid of the the infected inside the buildings.
3. In the other part of the Foundry you will find red spots on the ground. When the infected step on them, they burst into flames only to fall to the ground in several seconds. Use this to your advantage to more effectively eliminate the threat.

As in most missions like that, here you will find holes in the wall, behind which there are hidden objects.

1. In the southern part of the complex you will find a hole in the wall - go through it to collect the first aid Kit, and more Grenades.
2. The mission objective is in the northeast corner of the map. You can't enter normally - the passage will be blocked. Instead, go to the South-Eastern part of the map, where you will find a hole in the wall - go through it and continue along the way to get to the room with the artifact.
3. Collect the artifact and go back - as usual, you need to return to the place where the mission started. If you want to get extra Empire or Science Points, it's worth exploring the map in more detail.

Tips

Use the stains on the floor to set the enemies on fire.

And now a few tips that will help you complete the Foundry mission, namely:

1. Use the liquid metal stains, which are in some rooms - the enemies will step on them trying to get to you, which in a few seconds will lead to their death. The use of these spots greatly facilitates the completion of this mission.
2. Remember that the hero you control is insensitive to the mentioned splashes of liquid metal - you won't be able to step on them.
3. There are a lot of enemies to kill, but most of them can be avoided - it has no effect on the course of the final mission, so it's not worth your while to spend time fighting with hundreds of infected.
