They Are Billions: The Oasis
Oasis is another story mission of the main campaign in They Are Billions, during which you will not encounter any enemies until the final hordes attack. It will appear on the 60th day, giving you plenty of time to prepare. In this chapter you will find walkthrough and advice related to The Oasis mission in story mode of They Are Billions.
How to unlock and goals
Unlock method: It gets unlocked after completing The Narrow Pass mission.
Mission objective:
- Colony size: 2600.
- Survive the attacks of all hordes.
The mission

- During the mission, as mentioned in the introduction, you won't come across a single enemy, except the final hordes - so you can expand without worrying about fortifications.
- Use the units to discover the entire map - this will allow you to plan your expansion in a proper and optimal way.

- Start the colony expansion as usual - build 3 Tents, then Fisherman Cottage and Hunter Cottage. Then, use the surplus of gold to build several more Tents. When you get the next batch of gold, build a Sawmill.
- Start your expansion to the south - where you will find a stone deposit for the Quarry. You will find iron deposits west of the starting point. Several additional deposits are scattered throughout the map.
- It is worth building a lot of Sawmills here - wood will be useful for building numerous fortifications and improving houses. Use a large amount of green space to build Farms.
- Extend your influence to the whole map - this will be useful for building fortifications as well as for building a sufficient number of houses to reach a population of 2600 units.

- Start constructing fortifications around 45th day of the mission. Due to the lack of significant narrowing and terrain obstacles, it is worth to surround the whole colony with a wall - you have a lot of time for this (same for unit recruitment).
- When it comes to defense units, it is worth focusing on the recruitment of Soldiers and Snipers, in a ratio of about 1:1. If you have free funds, it is also worth building a few Ballista, which will enhance your defense.
Tips

A few tips related to The Oasis mission in They Are Billions:
- It is not worth recruiting Rangers here - their main advantage is the speed of movement and noiseless elimination of enemies, but both of these features will be useless here.
- Build at least a double-layered wall while constructing fortifications. In front of the wall, it's worth setting up several rows of Stakes Traps and, if your resources allow, placing several Wasps at close intervals - the cannons will help you defend against infected attacking the walls.
- If you have this option unlocked, it is worth improving at least the outer layer of the wall with Stone Wall. It has much greater durability (almost 3 times) than a wooden wall, so it can withstand the pressure of enemies for a longer time.
- It is worth to build the Inn as early as possible. In addition to offering you a substantial bonus on population growth and gold, it will allow you to recruit additional units - Scouts, Soldiers and Snipers of Veteran rank, as well as higher level units such as Thanatos, Lucifer and even a Titan. Their presence will significantly strengthen the defense.
