They Are Billions: The Highlands

The Highlands mission is another quite specific mission of the campaign in They Are Billions. During this mission, there will be two goals - to obtain a high (5,000) population ratio and to refute the hordes of infected. It is not necessary to kill all enemies or destroy the infernal sediment. Moreover, until the arrival of a Horde, there will be no enemies on the map. How to unlock: after the completion of The Wasteland of the Giants mission

Mission objective:

1. Reach a population of 5,000.
2. Survive all the hordes.

The mission

The whole map is covered with green areas - you have enough space for a Farm.

1. Like is several previous missions (such as The Oasis) there will be no enemies on the map-they will appear with the arrival of the final Horde of infected. So you have plenty of time to expand.
2. Use the units to quickly explore the entire map - this will allow you to easily learn the terrain and plan further expansion.
3. Start by erecting Tents, Hunter's Cottages and the Sawmil. Buy additional Tents for the remaining gold.
4. You will find stone deposits to the East of the start location, while iron deposits, in turn, to the West - build a few Quarries there to collect valuable resources.
5. Expand your influence onto the entire map - this is useful for the construction of fortifications, as well as for the construction of an appropriate number of houses, taking into account the need to reach the population at the level of 2600 units.
6. Around day 30-35 it is worth to start building fortifications. Surround the entire base with a two-row wall - If you do not have enough raw materials for the stone, build a wooden first, then it can be upgraded.
7. Behind the wall build stone towers and deploy Snipers on them - there are a lot of special infected to be killed here, who are best handled by Snipers. If you have excess iron, set a number of wasp cannons in front of the walls - this will greatly facilitate the fight against all will be punished.
8. If you have access to the Executor tower, it is worth to install at least a few of them, especially at the corners of the base and the Northern and southern edge- perfectly cope with all types of enemy, but they are expensive designs. In addition, for this purpose, you can use Titans.
9. In general, the final wave should not present any problems-you will have enough time to prepare here to install impenetrable fortifications without problems.

Tips

This type of fortifications cost a lot, but this mission allows you to collect a lot of raw materials before the final battle.

And now a few tips that will facilitate the completion of The Heights mission, namely:

1. Do not even think about recruiting Rangers - their main advantage is their movement speed and silent elimination of enemies, which are absolutely not useful here.
2. If you have enough resources, before the fortifications, it is worth to set up 2-3 rows of Stakes Trap or Wire Fence Trap - this will slow enemy units down, facilitating defense.
3. It is necessary to build an Inn as soon as possible. It significantly increases the amount of gold generated by the houses, and also allows - and above all - to recruit additional units-scouts, soldiers and snipers in the rank of veteran, as well as higher-level units such as Thanatos, Lucifer or even Titan Titan. Their presence will significantly strengthen the defense. It's important as this building allows you to recruit a set of units that you may not yet have access to - by not having unlocked the technology.
