The Neverhood

A unique point-and-click adventure game, developed in cooperation by the creator of Earthworm Jim - Doug TenNapela, DreamWorks Interactive film studio, and Steven Spielberg himself. The Neverhood takes us to a plasticine world, where we control a character named Klaymen. Our hero’s task is to retrieve the crown of his creator and father Hoborg, which, after it was stolen, allowed the thief, Klogg, to take over the world of Neverhood. The gameplay itself follows typical adventure game standards, with players exploring locations, collecting items, and solving various logical puzzles. However, the game’s unique feature is its innovative, fully plasticine world, created using more than three tons of plasticine and a unique stop motion animation technique, known as claymation.

Enslaved: Odyssey to the West

A third-person perspective action-adventure game developed by Ninja Theory. The game is a modern adaptation of one of the most famous classics of Chinese literature, the epic Journey to the West. The action of the game takes place in the 22nd century, after the third and fourth World War. During the gameplay, we assume the role of a lone man called Monkey, who gets imprisoned by the machines ruling the world. He manages to escape along with a young woman called Trip. After the escape, the duo is forced to rely only on themselves. Although in the beginning they cannot stand each other, over time they establish a specific relationship. In Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, we fight with pursuing machines and solve puzzles, while the protagonist duo complements each other. Monkey specializes mainly in fighting, while Trip is useful in situations requiring cleverness and intelligence. She can also hack computers and squeeze through narrow passages, which are impassable for her companion.

Five Nights at Freddy's

An original horror game created by Scott Cawthon, an independent gamemaker. The player assumes the role of a watchman who takes up a seasonal job at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. What is important about the restaurant, is that mechanical mascots are its main attraction. A seemingly easy job turns into a true nightmare during the very first night, when the protagonist discovers that the sympathetic animatronics come to life after dark and display a hostile attitude towards humans. Trapped in a cramped watch room, the protagonist has to avoid contact with murderous robots during five subsequent nights. The task is not easy, because using various devices, such as lighting and monitoring systems, as well as locking the door drains the power supply, which has to be appropriately managed throughout the entire night. Despite its simplistic mechanics, Five Nights at Freddy's provides a good dose of anxiety and is capable of frightening the player with ease.

Phantaruk

A sci-fi survival horror adventure FPP game and the first production of the Polish studio Polyslash. Phantaruk takes place in the distant future, when the idea of transhumanism is about to become reality, as humanity is striving to create a person with no biological limitations. You find yourself aboard a spaceship, which is also a secret research facility. It turns out that the vessel is in fact an abandoned death trap, haunted by a mythical beast—the eponymous Phantaruk, who kills everyone in its path. The gameplay is focused mostly on exploration and building up the atmosphere, while your objective is to find a way to escape the ship. The task is made all the more difficult because of a mysterious parasite living in the player character's body and gradually poisoning it. This fact forces you to constantly monitor your character's parameters and search for poison-neutralizing pills.

The player is put in the shoes of a detective hired by Hamilton after his chalet in the mountains has been devastated. After his arrival, the protagonist discovers that his employer as well as the entire local community went missing. The gameplay focuses on exploration, finding clues and solving puzzles. However, the game features survival elements as well - the player has to tend to the protagonist's health and face many different dangers, such as low temperatures, predators, etc.
