How to unlock the quest: Through conversation with Killian

Quest giver: Killian (point 6 on the map).

After completing the side quest called "On a Knife Edge", speak with Killian again, who can be found in the fishing village (point 6 on the map). During the next conversation you will be able to accept a throwing knife challenge, although the quest will be unlocked only when you decide to play for real gold.

The rules for this mini-game are really simple. You have 5 throws at total, and you need to have more points after all of them than Killian managed to accumulate. For each throw you can get from zero (if you won't manage to hit the shield at all) to five points. It's recommended to aim at the areas giving 4 or 5 points (they are marked on the above screenshot). After you're done aiming at the target, you have to throw the knife at the right moment - do so when the blue bar is in the proper place. According to the moment the key / button responsible for throwing was pressed, the knife will go straight ahead, or a little to the up / down.

If you've managed to collect more points than Killian, you will be given 250 gold (excluding the 100 gold you will get either way) extra from completing the quest (it's a one-time only bonus, you will be given "only" 100 gold for future victories).
