Ask Mauricio for another task

This quest can be unlocked when completing the "Advancing Among the Guardians" quest, namely after defeating the golem. Return to Mauricio, who should be either in the mage quarters (number 16 on the map) or outside the building. Ask him for another challenge. This time, your task will be to reach three different water sources and take samples.

The sample from the beach

You have to gather samples from three watering holes in Taranis (number 16d on the map) and you can visit these places in any order. The easiest water source to reach is the one on the beach, in the south-eastern part of the map, as it is located not far from the port. There might be some monsters nearby, but they should be easy to defeat. Collect the first sample (Saltwater) (100 glory points).

The sample from the waterfall

To collect the second sample, head to the waterfall in the central part of the map. To reach it, you have to either go through a goblin cave or approach it from the north, taking the path near the cliff. Gather the second sample (Pure Water) (100 glory points).

The sample from the wastelands

Lastly, head to a watering hole located in the south-western corner of Taranis. You will reach a wasteland, so you have to be careful, as they are inhabited by powerful creatures and the watering hole is located near the liar of one of the Shadow Lords. You will find it near a shipwreck. Collect the last sample (Indefinable Sludge) (100 glory points).

Return to Mauricio with all the samples and give it to him. The Mage will tell you to meet him the next day, so it is good to use a bed at least once to make the process quicker. Talk to Mauricio again and you will receive an additional reward.

Attention - from now on, Mauricio can teach the hero a new spell - Hail of Shards.
