How to unlock: Talk to Erasmus

Quest giver: Erasmus (number 16 on the map)

Attention - this quest is available only after joining the Guardians

Erasmus will send the hero to search for quartz

After you join the crystal mages, talk to Erasmus, who should be on the first floor of the main building (number 16 on the map). During the conversation, you will be asked to obtain three different types of Quartz. The mage will give the hero the Wind Hand spell, which will be useful in obtaining them. Erasmus will suggest talking to Ilvar, from the mage camp, to unlock new skills connected with Astral Vision. These skills are not necessary to complete the quest, but they will make it easier to located the Quartz.

Attention - after joining the Guardians, you can learn spells and skills from Erasmus.

Shadow Quartz

To complete this quest, you have to visit Taranis, Kila and the Calador bay. It is obviously best to start from Taranis, where you can find Shadow Quartz. Head to the Deadlands, located in the south-western part of the map. Watch out for the monsters living there. Start to collect Shadow Quartz by lifting it or using the Wind Hand spell, received from Erasmus (drag the spell onto your quick bar). This spell will allow you to collect items that are far away and it is useful when gathering Quartz from trees or ceilings.

Attention - you don't need to collect all the Quartz. To complete the quest, you will need only five of each type.

Astral Quartz

To collect Astral Quartz, you have to reach the Kila island. If you don't want to wait until the territories behind the big gate guarded by Baraka are unlocked, you can explore the caves in the eastern part of the map. The entrance to the caves is located near the pirates' beach and in the first part of the jungle.

Gold Quartz

Now, head to the Calador bay. It is best to collect Gold Quartz from the ruins in the western part of the map, as you won't have to wait until the eastern part is unlocked.

After you've collected at least five samples of each type of Quartz (Shadow, Astral and Gold), return to Erasmus and give it to him. You have to wait one day until Erasmus prepares the new spell and it is good to use a bed at least once. Return to the mage and he will be able to teach you something new.

Attention - after the quest is completed, you can still deliver Quartz to Erasmus. You will obtain 40 gold and 5 glory points for each.

Attention - From now, Erasmus can teach the hero a new spell - Wave of Energy.
