Action, 2D, Shoot 'em Up, Side-scroll, Singleplayer.

A dynamic, side-scrolling shooter created by Pyramid studio. Planet Darius has been invaded by Belsers – an alien army that entrenched itself in the oceans and seas of the whole world. To combat the threat, the planet's inhabitants have prepared a new lethal weapon, the so called Burst System. The gameplay of DARIUSBURST Chronicle Saviours focuses on eliminating hordes of enemies – aside from normal cannon fodder, the enemy ranks are sometimes reinforced by tough bosses. Every level contains various power-ups that increase the firepower of one of the nine available fighters, and influence the attained score. Additionally, a number of varied weapons has been left at our disposal, from rocket launchers through laser cannons and up to energy wave generators. Using the trademark Burst System, which has a lot more stopping power, is limited by a special gauge, filled as we take on subsequent enemies. The game, divided into chapters, contains the entire contents present in DARIUSBURST: Another Chronicle, supplemented by new additions in form of new modes, missions, and vehicles. Among the game modes we can find the story campaign, as well as a set of challenges, and the Chronicle Mode. The latter is a set of 3000 levels unlocked by the players all around the world.

Action, RPG Elements, Strategic Elements, Internet, MMO, Multiplayer, Free-to-play.

An MMO game featuring elements of action, real-time strategy and role-playing. The game was created by NetDragon; it is a free-to-play title that uses microtransactions. Tiger Knight: Empire War is set in the second century AD. The player picks a side and assumes the role of a general - the game features Rome, the Parthian Empire, the Kushan Empire and the Chinese Han dynasty - those were the largest empires of the period. The gameplay formula was based on two pillars. Spectacular, fast-paced action is the first of them; the player takes part in direct combat against enemy forces. The game stands out with an extensive combat system - not only is one's effectiveness dependent on the weapon and technique we use, but also on the kind of armor the enemy is using. The second of the pillars is constituted by the strategic aspects. What is significant here, is that the player has to command armies comprised of both regular soldiers and commanders gifted with special abilities. Being able to apply adequate tactics, as well as putting one's units into a formation that corresponds to the topography of the battlefield is the key to success here. Furthermore, the game comes with a set of diverse modes - those allow us to take part in multiplayer skirmishes, as well as to cooperate with our team during a full-spectrum conflict against the AI.

Set of two survival horror games, Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs. First of those games is set in a grim castle, with players controlling Daniel, an amnesiac who must find and defeat the mad owner of the building. Its add-on, Justine, puts us in a role of a woman who is part of a psychological experiment. Lastly, Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs follows the story of a businessman Oswald Mandus, who contracted an exotic illness. After he wakes from a long sleep, he finds out that his mansion is abandoned, and he starts looking for his children. Both productions are first-person adventure and survival horror games, in which our characters can’t use weapons, and in face of enemies, their only hope of avoiding death is to run and hide. As we explore dark locations, we must solve many puzzles and manage the sanity of our character, which drops down as we witness more and more terrifying events.

The game is a classic side-scroller, but unusually, we take control of two characters simultaneously: the main heroine, as well as the levitating wisp i.e. St. Elmo’s fire. Exploration of the levels involves jumping over chasms, avoiding traps, and solving various environmental puzzles. Additionally, our unusual companion lights the way, and collects smaller wisps to increase his power. The game is characteristic for its high difficulty level, as well as remarkably atmospheric two-dimensional visuals.

It also maintains the behavior of the group when it is attacked by the player. The key to success is to develop the correct strategy and observe the activity of the unusual opponents. Ghost Blade HD is a shoot'em up game developed by indie devs from Hucast Games. We take on the role of the Earth Defense Force's best pilot whose job is to defeat Shira, a rogue A.I. that was installed on an abandoned space station located on the outer rim of the Solar System. In Ghost Blade HD we control one of the three superbly armed combat space ships. Gameplay focuses on eliminating hordes of enemies and gigantic bosses. To win, we have to not only shoot almost all the time, but also avoid the rain of bullets and laser beams fired at us. Along with the primary Story Mode, the game also offers Score Attack, where we have to beat the high scores set by other players from all around the world. We can play alone or in coop with another player. The game features cartoonish, eye-pleasing visuals and a dynamic soundtrack composed by Rafaell Dyll.

An arcade action-platformer created by Cogg Games Ltd and based on a series of comic strips by William Morris-Julien. The protagonist, a brave Eskimo by the name of Eekeemoo, is the last representative of an ancient order of Eskimo fighters. One day, the land where Eekeemoo lives gets attacked by the evil Dark Shard, who kidnaps his friends, steals the artifact known as the Star Heart, and sends hordes of the undead to this world. The player's goal is to relieve the world of them, free the protagonist's friends, and reclaim the artifact from the hands of the evil being. When exploring four worlds (swamps in the woods, a zone with volcanoes, mountains covered with snow, and the dark domain of the protagonist's nemesis), the player encounters many evil creatures trying to put an end to the protagonist's journey. What weapon the player uses to eliminate their foes depends on the character controlled; at the beginning, the player can experience the game world only as Eekeemoo himself, but as they subsequently free the friends from the hands of the Dark Shard, the player gains access to a troll called Yum Yum (fights with a club), the princess Nim (prefers ranged attacks), and a flying robot called D-Bot.

Card Thief is an original mixture of card and stealth games developed by Tinytouchtales. We play as an experienced thief who has four heists to do. The contents of particular heists is randomly generated so that we can replay them many times. During our missions we will have to hide in the shadows, put off torches, avoid being detected, and steal valuable items. Our actions, events, characters, and items are presented like in a card game. Each level is accompanied by a deck of ten cards randomly assigned from a set created by the developers. Our job is to use them to create a path for our thief that will lead him safely to our mission objective. Cards activated by the player also influence the game. They represent our equipment and skills, and we use them to change the situation during a given mission. The game also has a Light System that decides if our character should be detected, and character progression mechanics. The game's eye-pleasing 2D visuals were designed by Max Fiedler. Soundtrack was composed by Oliver Salkic.

An exploration-focused adventure game with FPP view, developed by The Station studio – an experienced team consisting of people who worked on titles like Crash Bandicoot, League of Legends, Destiny and the Prototype series. Its story has been set in a distant future and focuses on the activities of Axiom corporation, which finds the first alien civilization after years of searching. However, the station that was sent to establish contact with the Aliens has malfunctioned, and a prospector (the player character) is sent to investigate the case. What he will discover will change his view on surveillance, imperialism and morality. Gameplay in The Station is based on exploration and plot, with classic narration being limited to minimum. This means that the players discover the plot not through dialogues or cutscenes, but mostly through their environments, and they must bring all pieces of a puzzle together.

Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition is the remastered version of the classic cRPG game. It was created by Beamdog. Unlike the other remasters from the studio, Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition has no new story elements. Instead, Beamdog focused on the technical aspects. Visuals were improved (on PC we can even play in 4K), just like the user's interface. Game's soundtrack was also remastered. Chris Avellone, designer of the original game, supervised some of the changes introduced by Beamdog. Most of them were tweaks to the game mechanics and fixes of bugs that were left in the original release. In Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition we play as The Nameless One, a mysterious immortal hero who tries to find the truth about his past and the reason behind his immortality. We are accompanied by diversified characters (among them we will find Morte, a floating, talking human skull) in our adventures. Learning the stories of the citizens of this unique world and doing quests are the primary focus points of the game. Combat is present in the game, but it is just a small part of it and in most cases can be avoided. As we progress, we level up and advance our character and party members. It is worth mentioning that even though the game is based on the second edition of Advanced Dungeons & Dragons The Nameless One's character is based on our deeds in the game, not chosen during the character creation process.

Ragnarok Journey is a browser MMORPG developed by Gravity Interactive, being heavily inspired by Ragnarok Online. The game takes us to a fantasy world inspired by Norse mythology. We learn the story by doing quests and talking to various NPCs. In terms of gameplay mechanics Ragnarok Journey is a typical MMORPG, where, after we create our character, we explore the game's vast world, do quests, collect items and equipment, and develop our hero. We can level up manually or leave that element to the game's A.I. Combat is an inseparable element of the game. We will face many various opponents against whom we can use range weapons, cold-steel weapons, and magic. We can create our own guilds and do quests with other players.

Another digital adaptation of the popular board game developed cooperatively by Engine Software and Ubisoft with Nintendo Switch in mind. The gameplay is based on the formula known from the board game original. We move tokens by as many fields as we roll on the dice. While playing, we trade real estates and build houses and hotels that provide us with income since any player has to pay rent if they step into another player’s property. The game takes place on one of three three-dimensional levels such as Classic City, Amusement Park, or Haunted Town. Monopoly for Nintendo Switch offers a wide range of game modes for up to six players. The title utilizes the unique features of Nintento’s console, including HD Rumble, its advanced vibration system.

Another spin-off in the popular series of dungeon crawlers, Etrian Odyssey, developed by Spike Chunsoft. The player assumes the role of an adventurer, who helps an unfamiliar woman in reaching the roots of the Yggdrasil tree, which is told to hide a gate to the world of gods. The events in Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2 are presented from an isometric perspective, and a significant portion of gameplay is about exploration of randomly generated dungeons as well as fighting turn-based battles. Interestingly, both heroes and their adversaries perform actions at the same time – therefore, when you move from one field to another, the enemy may be performing the same action. You take under your command a team of four adventurers, whom you can hire and replace in a town, which serves the role of your base of operation. In the course of the adventure the heroes gain experience and learn new skills as well as class-based special abilities. It is also noteworthy that upon dying the characters go back to the town, however, they also lose the entire equipment and gold they carried. Etrian Mystery Dungeon 2’s characteristic feature is its colorful, eye-pleasing graphics.

Forza Horizon 3: Hot Wheels is the second big DLC for Forza Horizon 3 developed by Playground Games. This time, the players can take part in races where they will drive Hot Wheels cars on crazy, twisted tracks. These are filled not only with launching pads, but also with speed boosters and spirals. The DLC comes with a new mini-campaign (including special challenges) and a dedicated location made of six islands connected by a network of roads. In Forza Horizon 3: Hot Wheels, players can drive the following vehicles: 1969 Hot Wheels Twin Mill, 2011 Hot Wheels Bone Shaker, 2012 Hot Wheels Rip Rod, 2005 Hot Wheels Ford Mustang, 2016 Jeep Trailcat, 2016 Zenvo ST1, 2007 Toyota Hilux Arctic Trucks AT38, 2010 Pagani Zonda R, and 1972 Chrysler VH Valiant Charger R/T E49. The expansion features high-quality visuals but in terms style, they are much than what we could see in the base game. Everything, including the orange road panels, is colorful here.

The Walking Dead: March to War is a free-to-play mobile multiplayer strategy game based on The Walking Dead franchise. It was developed by Disruptor Beam, a studio known for games like Game of Thrones Ascent or Star Trek Timelines. March to War features optional microtransactions. The game takes place near Washington, D.C. some time after the zombie epidemic began. We lead a group of survivors and try to keep them alive in the new, post-apocalyptic reality. In order to do so, we will have to expand and upgrade our base, manage our resources, and complete missions. We will also have to find and recruit other survivors. Each of them has their own story, personality, and abilities which we can level up. All deaths are permanent, so losing a high level survivor can be painful. The so-called Council system plays a crucial role in the game. The Council is made of characters we know from the comic books. Each of them is a skilled survivor, making them great leaders of mission squads. It is almost impossible to achieve victory by playing by ourselves. The Walking Dead: March to War forces to create alliances with other players in order to defeat common enemies.

A logic match-3 game set in the Star Wars universe. The production was developed by Disney and is distributed in the free-to-play business model. The gameplay is based on the characteristic solutions of the genre – on two-dimensional boards covered with square fields where various symbols appear at random. The player’s task is to create chains of at least three elements of the same type – the more made at the same time, the bigger the reward. Compared to other games of the genre, Star Wars: Puzzle Droids distinguishes itself with its extensive scenario – we can experience the story told in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie, although the plot – contrary to the movie original – is presented from the perspective of the BB-8 droid. Moreover, the title is more varied than typical match-3 productions. While playing, we unlock various missions and fight enemies. Also, we have a number of special powers at our disposal, which let us deal with increasingly difficult challenges. As we progress, we gain access to the droid’s memories which present interesting scenes from its life.
