A side-scrolling horror/adventure game. Detention is a debut project of Taiwanese studio Red Candle Games. The action of the game takes place in Taiwan during the 1960s, in the middle of martial law that lasted 37 years. We are taken to Greenwood, a high-school placed in a mountainous area. The players assume the role of two students who discover that the school became inhabited by wicked monsters known from local legends. Their mission is to survive, as well as to discover the origins of the mysterious evil. Detention is built on exploration, gathering items, and solving riddles, all performed through a classic point-and-click interface. Our protagonists are practically helpless in open combat, so their only way to deal with the danger is to hide and lay traps, and escape if need be. The two-dimensional visuals are quite interesting, as the developers were inspired by the mythology of China and Taiwan, as well as Taoist and Buddhist beliefs.

In every level your task is to reach the key, which opens the passage to the next stage. A multiplayer-oriented TPP action game developed by United Front Games. The plot of SMASH+GRAB takes place in a grim future, in a world governed by powerful corporations; however, the game features a satirical, exaggerated vide. The players assume the role of gang members participating in an underground entertainment show, in which criminal groups clash to see which team will be the first to steal 50,000$ from the storefronts. Two five-man teams participate in the game. Each group has a leader, his second-in-command, and three normal soldiers. During the fights, we can only use fists and improvised melee tools we have crafted ourselves. As we gain subsequent experience levels, we unlock new skills, accessories and elements to personalize the appearance of our heroes.

A virtual reality game from Futuretown studio that is based on classic minigolf, but set in fairy-tale like floating archipelago. Quite obviously, the whole game focuses on trying to get the ball to the hole throughout courses filled with obstacles. What makes Cloudlands: VR Minigolf different from similar games are unique controls. There are no pointers or tips – player’s moves are sent to the controller in 1 to 1 scale, meaning it resembles real-life minigolf. The game features both a career mode for single player and a multiplayer option (through network or on a single device), as well as editor to create your own courses to share with others.

A crazy version of virtual football, in which no holds are barred and where the rule of “foul” does not exist. Kopanito All-Stars Soccer is a game from a Polish studio Merixgames, inspired by, among others, Kick Off, Sensible Soccer, and Nintendo World Cup. The basic rules are similar to classic version of football – the team which scores more goals wins. However, the players can stop enemy actions with brutal tackles or by using “supermoves” such as pulling the ball to a player using a magnet, starting a fan that makes accurate shots impossible, teleportation to a different location on the stadium, or freezing the opponents. Kopanito All-Stars Soccer introduces over a hundred national teams, varying in terms of attributes such as endurance, speed, or shot accuracy. The players can choose between single player and multiplayer modes. An additional highlight is an implemented stadium editor. The wacky character of the game is complemented by cartoonish visuals and exaggerated animations.

A space sandbox game by Payload Studios, set in the future, in which Earth's natural resources have been completely depleted. You play as a space adventurer, whose task is to look for resources on an alien planet. The main aspects of TerraTech are threefold. The first aspect is exploring varied environments and gathering minerals, which can be transported to Earth or processed. Another aspect is building sophisticated vehicles from the resources you find or parts from other machines. They can be further modified as you see fit, which means you can turn them from transport vehicles to tanks or even planes. The latter two turn out to be very necessary, as the third aspect of the game is fighting enemies and capturing their bases.

Train Simulator 2017 is based on the same technology that powered the previous game. The biggest innovation are the four new routes: players can drive across Germany (between Lubeck and Hamburg), the United States (New York – New Jersey), France (Marseille Saint Charles to Avignon TGV), and the Great Britain (Bristol – Cardiff). Moreover, Train Simulator 2017 offers new locomotives, spearheaded by TGV Duplex, DB BR 218, and NJ TRANSIT ALP-45DP. Just as it was previously, the new game is fully compatible with Steam Workshop, therefore fans are free to create their own content and share it with the entire community. As always, the core gameplay element in Train Simulator 2017 is the career mode, which lets you take part in several dozen diverse scenarios.

A debut project developed by an independent studio Fat Panda Games – a 2D platformer in Metroidvania style. Flat Kingdom Paper’s Cut Edition takes us to the titular realm where people have always lived in happiness and wealth. The peace is over, though, as Hex - a three-dimensional thief - is back. He stole the six Magical Jewels that kept the flat world away from the third dimension and, to make matters worse, he kidnapped the heir to the throne. Assuming the role of a young man named Flat, you need to save the princess and bring back order to the realm. Gameplay consists in jumping on platforms and solving simple environment puzzles. RPG, Internet, jRPG, Manga and Anime, Multiplayer, Roguelike, Singleplayer.

A turn-based jRPG with roguelike features developed by Spike Chunsoft. The title is a spin-off of the Mystery Dungeon series based on One Way Heroics, an independent game that is popular in Japan. 20 playable characters are available in the game and among them there are the characters from such series as Danganronpa and Shiren the Wanderer. Not all of them are playable from the start – the player must collect points which then can be spent on buying new perks and character classes. Mystery Chronicle: One Way Heroics contains many roguelike features like procedurally generated world with randomly placed traps, obstacles and treasures. However, the death of the protagonist isn’t permanent in the game. What distinguishes the game is the fact that with each turn the game world is consumed by a wall of light progressing from the left side of the screen. This forces the player to thoroughly plan his movements and strategy.

A game that recreates the first human spaceflight to the Moon using virtual reality. Apollo 11 VR shows the events preceding the historic journey, such as: launch of the Apollo 11 spaceship using a Saturn V rocket, the flight to the Earth’s natural satellite, or the landing and the first walk on its surface. The title is described as a new kind of documentary film, featuring only uncomplicated mechanics that fit more to virtual reality than a fully-fledged video game. The events are seen from a first-person perspective, and the players have the full freedom to look around their surroundings. The camera switches to TPP mode only during combat. During the takeoff and landing, we can operate on-board equipment (however, the procedures has been simplified). While on the Moon, we can take a walk, and conduct simple research. Apollo 11 VR takes place in a detailed 3D environment, with a climatic soundtrack and authentic conversations accompanying the gameplay.

An old-school 2D shooter developed by Pixwerk in cooperation with 11 bit studios. The game is inspired by classic 16-bit hits, such as the Chaos Engine series. The action of Tower 57 takes place in a devastated dieselpunk world, where gigantic towers are the only places harboring what remains of human civilization. The story focuses on the adventures of a group of daredevils who attempt to infiltrate the titular Tower 57. Players observe from a top-down perspective how the characters fight off hordes of enemies and utilize a rich arsenal of diverse weaponry. In the game, one assumes the role of one of the seven available protagonists, each featuring a unique set of skills and a number of destructive weapons. The entire experience falls under the typical twin-stick shooter convention and features dynamic gameplay as well as the option to destroy elements of the surroundings. The debut of a French developer known as Too Kind. The game is a two-dimensional platformer and was funded on Kickstarter. The plot in Pankapu was divided into two branches. On one hand, the game tells a story of the brave warrior Pankapu - as told by a father reading this story to his child, Jaha'rell. The actual gameplay is rooted in that story, for the player assumes the role of said warrior, who was created by the god of dreams in order to eradicate the nightmares invading this world. On the other hand, the player gets acquainted with a dark story of Jaha'rell, though in this case, the player does not have any direct influence on the course of events. In terms of the mechanics, the game is a classic action-platformer, requiring the player to explore subsequent locations, avoid various traps and fight nightmares. The protagonist's main weapon is a sword, but Pankapu can also transform, gaining access to unique attacks.

Assault Squad 2: Men of War Origins includes three single player campaigns: one for each faction: Soviet Union, Germany, or the Allies, with the action taking place in Europe and North Africa. Multiplayer mode is also available. Assault Squad 2: Men of War Origins bases on an up-to-date version of GEM engine – offering DirectX 11 support, improved textures, models, and physics.
